  1. You pick Large Briitaine from the country list right? EDIT, if you are using google translate, if you are using the dutch list its Groot britanie.
  2. No. I have asked post to English address. You can pick them up from the ground but wasn't sure if there could be problems with that on the day.
  3. The fact they are openly selling tickets to non members means they must be expecting a low crowd themselves. I woks think they could have worked with us to give us a full goal end. Doesn't look like that is the case at all though.
  4. Looks that way. Also with them selling already means we must know how many we are getting so would expect news from the club today at least.
  5. Tickets for the home end are on sale on Vitesse website this morning. Got a couple already in block 122 as a back up. Only a tenner each.
  6. No nothing official. Though they only have to offer us 5% of the stadium. I dont know the precedent for larger away crowds in the ground, only what I have seen myself on twitter.
  7. 1200 tickets available apparently. I would expect aseaso tickets with away games first. Then season tickets and can't see it getting any further than that. Easy game to get to against decent opponent. No chance in the world will this make general sale.
  8. Mrs a I will be flying in from Manchester. Thus night in Arnhem then Friday and Saturday in Amsterdam. Hopefully a decent weekender.
  9. Well done VFtT, you will be back at full strength in no time. I had a ride home from work today, the whole way I was moaning to myself. Feeling rubbish, bike being noisy thinking about getting the BB greased etc. Really struggling but get home to see I have set 9 PRs on a route I have done dozens of times, and my fastest ever for the full route home. I really don't understand cycling at all.
  10. Dont know if anyone else has been looking out for it but some of the on bike footage has been excellent.
  11. I know this is an open question with no firm answer but I would love some thoughts on a wheel set upgrade. Currently have DT Swiss R24 Spline wheels on that came with the bike. Heard loads of different people say wheels are the best thing to get in order to make the bike feel quicker. Been looking at these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-dura-ace-9000-c24-clincher-wheelset/ would this be a big upgrade from what I am running now? I get lost in all this stuff, I went down to the lbs in Shrewsbury but they were not that helpful. Should say I am looking to make climbing a bit easier if i can, the current set feel flimsy under me when I am out the saddle on the hills.
  12. Thibaut Pinot came over typically French today. Exactly the same happened to Martin, he took his team mates bike and went on to the stage win.
  13. The Portway, do you mean this? http://www.strava.com/segments/739488 - 1k at 17% average FFS!! Sorry for all the strava links.
  14. I did this ride a little while back http://www.strava.com/segments/5502340 - The Long Mynd climb and the Burway having never seen either of them before let alone climbed them. I was a total wreck at the top of the Burway. There was a group of mountain bikers walking their bikes up, they were the rabbits on the horizon that kept me going.
  15. The climbing is more than i have done in a day. I work 15 minutes from the stretton hills though. With plenty of little ramps around the long mynd i might just go and get myself lost around there one afternoon.
  16. I see a couple of you have joined the TdF challenge on Strava. 1680km in 21 days is a big target. I could do it if i ride into work and home everyday and did the same at the weekends. Not sure i am up for that to be honest. Though would smash the climbing challenge in the first two days.
  17. Just call them the drops is fine. Well done on getting out, the improvements come quickly and thoroughly enjoyably. I would bloody love to find 40k with only 160 meters of climbing around near me. Strava is a really good tool for seeing the improvements you are making. Also the challenges each month really can be a motivator to get out on the bike if you need one. Or join the Saints fans club https://app.strava.com/clubs/45350 and try to beat Loo Loo each week.
  18. I am becoming a cyclist, I think. I was coming up a local climb, in the red already when a post van turned out of a driveway about 30 meters up the road to come down the lane. Only single track so I had to pull to the side and lost momentum in the verge. He was 100% within his driving rights to pull out then as I was not coming up at any speed at all but by god I was ******ed off with him. Other than that lovely evening for a ride.
  19. I was out this morning, suffered a lot for me. Longest ride in distance and time on bike though. Last 30k were maybe the slowest I have ever rode, probably set the bar a little high for today. http://www.strava.com/activities/333989990
  20. A quick browse on POL and this thread popped up "Budgets, Money available, Should we be spending it?" Second reply was this - "Spend the lot and go for broke. Nobody remembers losers" I truly doubt this was ironic yet not one single person has disagreed with him. FFS
  21. More than a day and that was the best effort? I will get your coat.
  22. Unbelievable riding there. Lad is going to sleep well tonight.
  23. Well done Jack, the distance is a huge step up.
  24. Suzi Perry is nail on for lady presenter. Doubt you could even get odds at a bookies for that. Perhaps Jodie Kidd distant second.
  25. I took a look at the route today, looks really brutal. Would appreciate a link to a strava ride once its done if you dont mind.
