  1. Yawn, quite clearly done to antagonise the muslim population.
  2. United will have their tails up now Saturday. We are ****ed!
  3. Richardson would be excellent.
  4. I agree with you BTF, I just think I'm being a bit precious about it all if I'm honest. Again, I know this isn't a question of professional ability but I remember when at Uni back in 2005 they offered women only cut price tickets to the next Saracens game as Johnny Wilkinson was playing against them for Newcastle Falcons. I hate rugby, but I was outraged yet didn't do anything about it, thankfully the Uni withdrew the promotion after complaints from the rugby society under the Uni's anti-discrimination code of conduct yet some of the female members of the society and of the Uni were disgusted. As I've said I agree sexism and professional ability have no place in 2011, yet sometimes (but not on this occasion) I feel that the fairer sex like to have their cake and eat it when it comes to sexism.
  5. Fair enough, this is true. I must admit, I've never heard someone question a man's ability to be a midwife or something similar. Do you not feel though, that if there was a 'Loose men' making the same kind of comments/jokes, there would be complaints?
  6. I'll enter St.Chalet
  7. ****ing hilarious coming from someone who can't spell for toffee.
  8. I'm with you on this one trousers. Yes what Andy Gray said was archaic for 2011, but there are plenty of examples when women are sexist towards men - but that seems to fine! As you point out, Loose Women, and that ****ing Boots advert regarding cold and flu medicine.
  9. I'll enter, will do me good to get away from this place for a week
  10. The initial problem was that dunce claimed I wasn't qualified to analyse or infer, when I am. The statement on my previous post challenged how you would expect me to prove this. Of course it doesn't make be a better teacher, you have to be taught to be a teacher and there are those better than me, as there are in any job. However, I am more than qualified to analyse and infer, that I'm afraid is a fact due to my postgraduate qualifications, no mater in what self-loathing regard you hold University education. Anyway, not only did my second to bottom set all hit or exceed the targets as laid out in the ambitious data given to schools by the FFT between Year 7 and Year 11, but in my new school, where I also teach English alongside A-Level history, my sets are all making similar progress. But I'll be fair, there is no reason for you take this information on anything more than face value
  11. I would happily pay SBO £15 for that one!
  12. I would take a respectable 3-1 defeat...what an awful attitude to have We need to go 4-5-1 and just like we used to do in the 90s, get ****ing stuck into them. My Grandad always said "Just wait till Benali kicks that Cantona, you won't see him for the rest of the game." That is the attitude we need Saturday.
  13. I'm having some great mileage with this winding up the missus. I've been giving it the "Is there no sphere left that is purely a man's domain?" since I got in from work. What I will say is, if they're ticking off Gray and Keys, they need to remove that Boots advert that makes it sounds as if man flu is something which isn't serious.
  14. 23. Spelling.
  15. Band of Brothers or Only Fools and Horses.
  16. Yes, but do people question your lawyer friends ability to do his job? I bet they don't! My abilities as a historian were being attacked, how did you expect me to defend my capabilities?
  17. Another ****ing "I've been grafting since I was five and the world still hasn't repaid me" post. Dune is thick, it is as simple as that. Even if he was educated to the same level I would still call him thick. I'm proud of my academic achievements as I've worked ****ing hard to get them. Unlike you though I don't think the world owes me squat.
  18. Hilarious. Well done you.
  19. Dune, you're going round in circles. You need to remember that my interpretations would be influenced by the historians I've read/studied. Now if for a second you believe you know more than the likes of Thompson, Marwick, Keegan and Ferguson then any credibility you have left would immediately evaporate.
  20. I don't have time to answer this in any real depth this second. Give me a couple of days and I'll get back to you. My initial hunch will be that it was bad for them and good for us. But I won't venture a definitive answer now.
  21. I've already answered this you cretin. It's called evidence. Give up dune, you're starting to look silly.
  22. Sorry dune, I don't. Simply because you cannot obtain A-level, let alone degree or postgraduate qualification without being able to analyse and come to correct conclusions.
  23. The more educated amongst us will see the irony in this statement.
  24. A man with a HND vs a man with a Masters in Historical Studies. I'll leave the good members of the TSW to come to their own conclusions.
