Jimmy Jay Morgan not to sign a pro contract at club!
Badger replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
You'd like to think so but given the contempt they sometimes show to our own supporters I doubt they'd give a second glance to some goading of our own fans. If anything, Steele and his ex-Millwall Security Rottweiller might use it as an excuse to close a few more rows of seats in the home area. -
A manager since October. Staggering that we would consider someone with less of a track record than Jones.
-
I think that comment killed my interest in this signing.
-
Are we only able to work on one transfer at a time. Suspect that might be the case, and Hjulmand won't happen.
-
So did Frank Worthington. Although miraculously his scoring dried up after joining us for most of the season
-
Agree with you. Signing is yet another gamble on a young largely unproven player. Ayew - wasn't held in high regard at Swansea a few years ago (although might have been his brother, can't recall).
-
He is meant to rewrite the definition of 'Jonno-Quick". Not sure about goalscoring though.
-
Expect us to be that imaginative?
-
Reminds me of one of my rugby coaches at school in the 70’s. (Mind you old ‘Taffy’ (or Mr) Williams (RIP)wouldn’t have been seen dead in that tracksuit get up
-
Look, with all due respect, the opposition will be thinking that as well.
-
Then the ‘God willing’ rematch with Stoke in the next round
-
I didn’t have time to finish my crisps in the time that went from first link, to dismissed.
-
Bit late to be “looking at”. We’ve had months to look at. Now is time to get it done.
-
Yes. Semmens’ Mum must have been one of those old dears who purchased out of catalogues and taught him the benefit of paying over 38 weeks.
-
Adam Blackmore reported Gakpo as a done deal if I remember correctly. I’ll believe this - and get excited about it - if it happens.
-
Hope they don’t still hold a grudge about us enticing Lawrie (then going back for Chatterley and Turner). Remember we also played them in the late 70’s over three matches.
-
So fucking predictable.
-
Blackpool fan's take on it: Good view of the goals.
-
Didn't hear that but I can imagine he would be good. I though Andrew Surman was quite impressive on a call with Blackmore last season as well.
-
Fuck off. Surely not.
-
Have read they are also keen on Sulemana. But the one big advantage we have, and we'll have to explain it carefully to him and his agent, is that if he comes to us he's more likely to get a move to play for Liverpool , rather than just living there.
-
He does seem to be on a collision course with the supporter base doesn't he? I think he was right to answer back after the initial outpouring after the Forest game - Paul Doswell and all that - but having handled the following week or so quite well, he should let it go.
-
Rather like Pelligrino, the cup results have given a bit of false optimism, although not really papering over the cracks. I'd give up on the campaigning at this stage. NJ won't be going anywhere soon, so best support him, and the piss poor squad the board have assembled for him.

But this is exactly what I've come to expect of the modern "winger" or wideman, lightening pace, bit of trickery, fancy footwork, occasional stepover bollocks, but all petering out the close they get to the goal (or the byeline ). This looked to be the case with Tella last season, and although he's still got time on his side, watching the other night I had a similar feeling about Edozie. If he signs then I fear we might be saying the same about Sulemana in a few months. The 'modern' winger for you. But if he shows up in the right percentile of 'key indicators' any shortcomings will be overshadowed for Rasmus and co.

and 1974 * (Best not mention what did happen that season though).
