  2. If only we could play teams as poor as those two on our travels every match.
  3. ..or Forren nutted MP afterwards ?

  5. Interesting that now the Thames has flooded, its a national disaster and both the efforts and attention are geared up a little more.
  6. If the players here for example are Danish or Dutch u21's or on the fringe of the national squads then I'd expect them to be worth a look. Last summer, and possibly last Jan, we were linked with a Danish lad playing in Italy ( CB at c£6m or so). Wouldn't the clever thing to be to try bringing him I from Denmark as a fraction of that cost ? (no doubt have Steve De Ridder thrown back at me.).
  7. I'm not making a case either way, you can bring in excellent imports (Lovren for one), but in recent history our championship signings ( Clyne and Rodriguez), have perhaps adapted better than our more glamorous imports from Serie A. So possibly the reluctance to "Carlos Kickball" from some is understandable. It may be that the clubs obsession with Serie A has diminished in the light of these experiences, and NC's departure.

That's how I saw it. Agreed, but that is the problem. Yes, we can recall some superb stops, but he is erratic and just as likely to make a howler. I thought the Begovic goal was just a fluke in the conditions and don't blame him for that, but the other three are down to him, and you might also add his share along with VW for fartarsing around for Hull to score against us, although this was not critical to the outcome of the match. I have been of the view that we should have been looking to bring in a top GK for two years (when at the top of the NPC ,Jan 2012 window) but it has passed us by.Definitely an area to improve on.
  13. Do you think Woy will take all this in to account though ?
  14. May I join you, gentlemen ? I'll have a rolled up copy of The Times under my arm.
  15. Don't agree that Clyne has no chance, or that Rodriguez is likely to beat RL to a place in the squad after his initial display for England. Probably between RL and Carroll though. Like Beckenham I'd love to see RL part of it.
  16. Very sunny, very windy. Off in an hour, hopefully no trees down on the way back !
  17. Thought you'd have been down to Exeter today, to watch Oakley & Co adding to the skates demise.
  18. Itemised billing was a bugger wasn't it ?
  19. Hopefully, and listening to his interview, it seems he'll be involved rather than a full CEO directing all operations. But time will tell...
  20. Phil Boyer/ Chris Nicholl runs him a close second Kevin Keegan Glenn Cockerill Last season's kit : Ricky Lambert This season's : Adam Lallana MLT - unfortunately for him - had his best days in that awful Pony tick. Mick Channon : umbro conventional stripes, c1975.
  21. Could the appointment of the new CEO not be linked to issues elsewhere (eg Krueger's involvement with Canada's ice hockey team in Sochi, or John Williams - or another for that matter - working a notice period) ?

  23. Bet that is the sort of tactics board Hughes/Pulis/Slobberdyce like to use quite frequently.
  24. FF, care to share with us on how this came about, and discussions with the club ? Obviously it is tied in with the departure of one person, but I doubt the new regime have asked you to be bound by any non-disclosure agreements as once might have been the case.
