My guess is WGS. Very interesting but in the abscence of a more credible source than another club's fans site it is only a dubiuos rumour. One point though, I just hope MLT does not now become a continual 'rent-a-quote' for what Pinnacle might have done.I suspect he was highly embarrassed by the outcome of this episode.Whilst due to the failure of others he had largely become its public face.

I'm surprised that JBrizzle or whatever his name is,has not already identified them as "council house scum". As you say this sort of thing could escalate, and expect to see reports in the national press of disorderly conduct at the check out in Lidl soon.

F'kin outrageous ! They have a poster called 'Badger', and another called 'Miserableold-ishgit'.It is a breach of copyright,or plagiarism at least. I think 'Miserable Old Git' and I should assembe a 'firm' or 'crew' to 'rumble them on their own manor ' as they come out of their Temperance Society meetings, bingo halls or origami lessons.

The Met Police had a tip off that some 'fans' were going there tooled up.I saw a couple of kids frisked and their peashooters and spud guns taken off them at the turnstyles.

Yes lets replace it with a picture of a train.

Coppell lined up as Director of Football - online report (or not)
Badger replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
As were Lawrie and Bally. But it didn't stop it ending in tears. Coppell though is probably less likely to seek the limelight, which will allow the DoF/manager relationship to function better in my view.Should it ever happen of course. -
Agree with much of what you say,but I still believe our Alehouse team were on a par,if not better than the Crazy Gang .The Alehouse were certainly better players.

Interesting last paragraph to that bit though, " the appointment of a sporting director will be made by Cortese, and not in consultation with Pardew ". Possibly pure speculation again though. -

That is the all too obvious conclusion to reach and shows how poisoned a role the DoF position is seen as in England due to history of DoF's. It seems to work at Reading and Exeter though where the DoF's are supportive of their managers. At Reading no one would really have heard of Hammond and he keeps a low profile which helps enormously. Asking KK might make it more interesting. And I wonde what Alan Ball really thought of the role and its implication for the manager ? As for Coppell,I think he has the intelligence and knowledge of the game to be good in this role. Don't forget its in the Mirror though, and the story may have been lifted from the photographs on this site. -
I have accepted the obvious pleas of mitigation ie three weeks late start after the Pinnacle fiasco, needing time to bring players in etc and find his own team. However AP now has brought players in and assembled a squad that would be the envy of most, if not all, L1. CLUBS. So no more excuses, time to deliver. We need points this month. Sadly, yesterdays result brought home comments on here after Stockport, that there is an uneasy feeling of deja vu about the start of AP's reign, reminiscent of Burley's tenure.

Yes.It was excellent news at the time as Saints couldn't afford to sack him.
-
If the Echo article is accurate (?), he was only flying into Southampton this morning so seems unlikely he would have played.
-
I don't think anyone would question that he had the ablity, just his application and attitude. As someone else referrred to not necessarily a "team player". He could be brilliant - if he wanted to - but on the other hand might not help team spirit to gel.
-
As I recall, he probably played two memorable games for us,v Everton, and then v Norwich.Pretty indifferent the rest of the time if my memory serves me correctly. So sorry,I don't see that the adulation for this bloke is justified.

Often wonder if the signing of Kevin Keegan could have been kept so secretive in the internet age. What chance someone knowing a relative of his wife's hairdresser in Hamburg with news they had been househunting in Hampshire.or someone bringing him by taxi to the Potters Heron ?
-
Yes,pretty sure we did.
-
In the Prutton mould then, except for scoring goals. Sadly nothing in the rulebook to stop them winning matches and something we struggle against. Feel we owe Boothroyd a thrashing;let it be Saturday.
-
Anyone established what that song is ? Would make a brilliant anthem whenver he scores a goal.
-
Or the new Jan Koller ? Another Carsten Jancker perhaps ?
-
SCW and Simon Clifford are the way forward.
-
If we can convince the authorities our fax was not working properly then a permanent signing might be possible. Otherwise its another loan.

Saga is a c^nt of the highest order. As you say the talk of international ambition was solely to engineera move. The move to Notts County just shows him up as the grasping bastard he really is. He played out of his skin to obtain a contract and once obtained was quite indifferent about it. Good riddance to both him and Spasiak.

I thought it sounded more like some sort of afterbirth. (Although that is placenta)

Fair points, and like you I do not wish to rake over these ashes. It is a shame that a once stable club has become accustomed to calling for a management or boardroom head.
