That was an odd season, the run to the Cup Final was great and we so nearly won it, but the final few games of the league season were dreadful with hardly any goals and we scraped into 8th. Final game of the season 0-1 vs Stoke, the highlight being the standing ovation for Michael Owen.

I can't help getting the impression you read the whole post and got more and more frustrated as you couldn't find anything to disagree with. Eventually you got to the final six word and couldn't believe your luck that you had at last found something to get offended about.

Actually, I think the riots damage his cause. Imagine huge demonstrations across the country without any trouble, that would benefit him enormously, but as soon as it becomes a riot then the opposite is true.

I see someone has got a 26 month sentence and a bite on the arse from a Police dog for basically having a drunken pop at the Police. It does seem incredibly harsh but on the other hand the stiff sentences have nipped in the bud the riots, thats for sure. I look forward to seeing what sentences the two Muslim guys from Manchester Airport get.

No, but I did hear him condemn the violence. As for the quote, I'll answer it like this, I don't think he should shy away from raising very real concerns about an issue where a huge number of people share those concerns.

I didn't decide anything fella, I just gave an opinion, we hear yours often enough. I may well be wrong of course, I hope I am.

Because IMO Labour have a fairly relaxed attitude to illegal immigration which will only encourage those trying to cross the channel. The Tories obviously failed miserably, obviously.
