  1. I see Peter Sutcliffe has come to savilles defence and an ex copper is saying saville was on their radar as a possible suspect as the Yorkshire ripper
  2. Alpines words of wisdom . Basically ****e we do have the infrastructure but I think we came up a season to early . I accept one or two of his points but the rest is ****e sorry alps
  3. No it's not untenable
  4. Like to see him at right or left back push Cline or fox forward aka Wayne bridge
  5. Can't be true Bbc said on their 630 radio news that Appleton had stated he had not been approached or spoken to Blackpool . All I can say us poor old Blackpool oh bye bye skates vile
  6. 58 years of supporting the team only twice have I almost lost the faith once was because of the negativity of sisa and this season because of the negative Ijits persistently knocking every player manager etc get behind the team saints is forever
  7. Spooky thread I turned my saints calender over and there is dean Hammond and I thought we need his spirit and determination in the side . I was also wondering if the fact we have made significant changes to the side that this has had a detrimental impact on the team this season . Last season the lads were really a cohesive unit but for me it is the one thing that is missing this season
  8. NC is the man for the job at St Mary's. He shows total integrity conducting the business of Saints FC . Instead of disecting every aspect of the chairman try getting behind the club for a change. Did I really see a negative thred on Garston. Im not happy with the way we are playng at present , we are exposed down the wing and we need to sort that out asap. Also some of hour passing against WBA was a bit poor , we need to be more decisive with our passing and kick the ball harder SCome on you reds lets get back to winning ways this week end
  9. clearly saville is a paedo. but I im still concerned about the way the police are using the method of trawling to justify their evidence This is back in 2000. Re Dave Jones David Jones was a victim of ‘trawling’ – a new form of police investigation which has evolved only in the last ten years. Much credit for bringing about this transformation in public understanding should go to BBC journalists David Rose and Gary Horne and their Panorama film ‘In the name of the children’. In the film, which was transmitted on the eve of the Jones trial, and in an accompanying article which was published in this newspaper, Rose reported on the case of Roy Shuttleworth, a care worker who is serving ten years in prison for crimes he could not have committed. Shuttleworth too was the victim of a trawling operation. If the public knew what was going on they would be appalled,’ said Merseyside solicitor Chris Saltrese at the beginning of last week. He is right. Except that he was speaking before the collapse of the Jones trial on Tuesday. By Wednesday morning the public did know what was going on. Or at least they were a lot better informed. This is crucial. One reason why the current witch-hunt has spread so rapidly and so silently is that all democracies depend ultimately on journalists to safeguard their essential liberties. Yet in this case journalists bear the main responsibility for creating a moral panic around care homes and, until very recently, for keeping both politicians and the public in the dark about what has really been happening. Now that the media spotlight on David Jones has at last illuminated this darkness, it is time for the government to act. Until now Home Office ministers have responded to complaints about trawling by saying that operational matters are for chief constables to decide. In such operations police officers deliberately seek out former residents of care homes and invite them to make complaints. Some of these complaints are true and have helped convict social workers who have indeed betrayed the trust placed in them. But there are clear indications that many of the allegations are false. There is also compelling evidence, some of it captured on film by Panorama, that one of the main motives for fabricating allegations of physical and sexual abuse is money. Also look what happened to Mathew Kelly
  10. This latest claim is the same enquiry that saw dave jones wrongly charged with abuse.
  11. Andy Beal you are a complete knob . That information was for the saintslist members only . You had no right to cut and paste the comments from an esteemed poster who is known on here . Total stupidity on your part. . Whoever you are you are not to be trusted and I can only assume you have your own agenda to cause further division between the club and the fans. For you info I don't necessarily agree with comments of the article you copied .
  12. I come onto a match thread and just total negativity . Well done to those that have gone to the match . Just get behind the team and club and stop this negativity . Okay incoming negative missiles coming my way
  13. Time we left afgan me thinks two Gurkhas shot dead by a tailban arse dress as a policeman. The government should drop the charges against the 5 marines . thats where the real injustice lies .
  14. Pap . I agree with most of what you post . The reports and comments being made by the police would suggest this is not about saville but a much more hideous group of people . While some of the individuals who are now speaking out only refer to saville . I do wonder how much they new about others . Perhaps their to scared to say anything about others incase they get sued . This scandal is very much in its infancy and I suspect we haven't heard the worse yet .
  15. Bridge good poit you made earlier about the childrens care home. I now see a former policeman has gone to jail Ryan Coleman-Farrow was jailed for 16 months for botching investigations EmailA former detective who failed to investigate rape and sexual assault cases and faked records to cover his tracks, has been jailed for 16 months. Ryan Coleman-Farrow, 30, was sentenced for a string of failures linked to 13 cases, including falsely claiming that a rape victim had dropped charges and falsifying witness statements.
  16. PaP and Bridge. They should have gone to the police years ago, that way fewer children would have been abused. Its no good shouting about it to the media once the horse has bolted . Children were continually being abused when they knew about. They were in a position of authority and did feck all about it. if they have got to speak to someone go to the police not the media as this could also compromise the investigation and evidence . Remember others are about to be arrested and will face a trial if charged.
  17. are the media feeding the saville frenzy by any chance. the express are suggesting his crimes maybe even far more sinister and some professor wants a cold case review of all those children that went missing years ago that were never solved as he beleives saville may have even more evil crimes to his name such as murder. Now a former BBC Governor is saying he had suspicions and wouldnt let saville near a childs charity he is involved with even members of status quo are saying they had concerns. Sorry all you people comingout of the wood work . you did nothing years ago to prevent saville continuing with his abuse , you said nothing then so stop juming on the band wagon and let the police do what they need to do.
  18. Interesting the press were waiting outside his house for the arrest . I see in the Sunday post the author of blood in the wire based one of her books on saville . Shane she didn't come clean in the 90's when she wrote the book. I wonder how many of the other suspects that are about to be arrested have destroyed any incriminating evidence when this story started to grow arms and legs
  19. Chapel end your staying the obvious the club no about the poor defence and working on it. They have to use the resources they have until January . It might be a bumpy road ahead till then
  20. John McCrirrick 2-1 on to step up to the mark PS Nigel is the Man
  21. Most damming evidence against saville and probably one of the reasons the family moved the gravestone. is that Savile's great-niece Caroline Robinson has accused him of sexually abusing her when she was 12.
  22. Sad to hear another two. Soldiers killed tonight . One is a medic . Rip in peace marine and fellow medic
  23. Malala is a rising star ( or was in pakistan ) shame the male taliban cretins tried to destroy her life, Still hopefully she can influence and faciliate a change in ideologies in pakistan from thje UK. She is more deserving of the nobel peace plan than the eu. While I have some concerns for all patients at QE hospital at Selly Oak . I can understand why she is being treated there,. As all servicemen and women are evacuated there with various traumatic injuries, the hopsital is the best in the world at treating such injuries. I know many of my former medical colleagues are working there.
  24. This is utter ******** . I will seriously stop supporting saints if the ****t becomes manager again . Thankfully that will not happen and I will forever support my beloved saints
  25. We have injured servicemen. The health service should have put her in some other hospital instead the Taliban and al queda are fanatics could potential more determined to attack the hospital
