Johnyboy below the belt comments. I know two families who savile was very supportive of their children who died of cancer . Visited them in hospital . Fixed it for them and attended their funerals and continued to keep in touch with the families . They are shocked at these allegations and its not the savile they knew . Stain I stand by my general comments re politicians working together. Take education the coalition have come up with a set of re education and the way forward. Labour have come up with different proposals. If the coalition implement the changes before the labour get reelected. then labour will then introduce their own educational reforms. This is not good for the country or pupils alike. Labour introduced many changes . Have they been succesful , Probably in some but not in the majority. Education should not be used as a political football but should be something all politicians work towards for the benefit of the country and pupils , not for their own egos. I listened to Alan Sugars TV . and I agree with his comments about getting proper experience on the work floor. not in some sterile condition . His comments about the lathe worker starting at the bottom and aspiring to become the manager. Thats what is important. Lets have some coherent and relevent education strategy for the less academically mind pupils. instead of some fluffy qualification. Oh and back to a Rant . Watched a bit if the Andrew Marr showed and listened to millipede . What a Tosser so far up his own backside but then that is the case for many mps which ever party they represent . Stain beg to differ . Sacking a teacher is not that easy . If you we're to do the research you will see very few teachers are actually dismissed let alone struck of the teaching register . In Scotland very few are dismissed and tend to resign or get a settlement of some kind . The teacher I refer to is a genuine case that I know the full details about so it's not rubbish . Also we had a janitor who abused a brother and sister . We couldn't dismiss him due to the police investigation was on going . He was being paid for the best part if 7 months . Before he could go in front of a disciplinary hearing . He was dismissed . The police bailed him . He fled to Manchester and failed to turn up at court. Fortunately there was a good outcome . He topped himself . But the two children are scared for life . The human rights act gets in the way of real justice . And in the case if the teacher I mention he used it or his union did to argue he had a right to a living from his professional job . I bet the school in the megan case wanted to suspend him but probably found their hands tied through red tape and lack of evidence

It's very difficult to sack a teacher . The education dept are **** scared of doing it . The unions will fight tooth and nail for the teacher . They will hope the police will do the dirty work for them . When they do they will still need to have a disciplinary hearing and wait for all the appeals to be completed . And then it's not over . He will have to appear before general teachers council . Only they can strike him off the teaching register . It took almost two years to get rid of a teacher here for not two disimilar circumstances

Apart from what was mentioned on the forum do we really know who we were after in a defensive capacity .
