Oh Alps you just dont get it do you. The friend I refer to owns the caravan site that the coppers are staying at. The armed forces are not complaining only the police. You really are a numpty Alps , I support you one moment about the hangers on and you still come out with futile comments by the way I have other military friends who have family members who are in the forces who are deployed to the Olympics here are there comments My son-in law is with the RLC at the Old Trafford area. He has not mentioned any complaints. The most important thing is the public are really impressed with the way the military are carrying out their duties - with great pride and a good attitude. Im not defending her but the police and CPS have a nasty habit at chomping at the bit in regards these type of cases. Also the BBC are enjoying it as they think they are whiter than white. There will be major repercussions if they are found innocent . I predict wholesale changes to the police and and CPS roles if this gets thrown out. Just think of the cost to the taxpayer. There is a case up in Orkney that clearly has serious questions on the tainted evidence that was produced. I might start a new thread on here about it. Strange how the police in the Orkney case were out celebrating bg time and then almost immediatley got retired on very healthy pensions.

Im not patronising you, that is all too easy for you to make that comment. I stand by what I said you have no clue regards accomodation issues etc you rant on about. However where iI will agree with you is in respect of the politicians. The redundancy letters sad as it is was going to happen whether it was labour or tories. . They are as bad as each other. They are an easy target to make cuts to year on year. Look at the labour governments waste on nimrod. look at all those procurement folk who have wasted millions. At the cost of what out of date kit and cuts in the proper armed forces. have a debate about tha and I will be with you but dont bring into the arena about the security of the olympics into the occassion. Re afghan, yes sadly some folk will not becoming home alive. Lots of servicemen have lost their lives during training exercises as well. But heres the real issue for me Alps. You would have a genuine cause to crow about if you new the extent of the serious casualties we and the coalition forces are sustaining on a daily basis. That does not get reported. my betting is the MOD bods and politicians are dumbing that down . When the paralympics start it is my believe that many of those will be injured ex servicemen from around the globe. Now theres a thought lets have an olympic type event for all those servicement than have been injured serving their respective countries.

You have still not got a clue Alpine. and Im not flexing my muscles etc etc as you elequently put it. Troops have had to put up with various conditions whether it is helping out with floods in the UK , foot and mouth, various strikes. Normally we are either tented, in barracks or put up in a TA centre when the Fire strkes and Ambulance strikes took place., It wasn't glammerous accomadation but we didnt complain. In fact your the only one that appears to have a negative attitude and you have never served I have lived in a tent immunising 25 thousands people who lived in squalid accomodation due to a cholera epidemic. two of did te immunisations, but we got on with the job. I dont hear you moaning about those servicement and women who do wimbledon. Instead of whinging on here go and talk to the squaddies who are doing the security stuff at the olympics and get there opinion. I'm not worried . I believe we already have a very good squad . We have battled our way through two very difficult divisions and played some excellent football along the way . She has basically passed the buck to the lawyers and the ECHR by saying that it is her and Kings Alec's view is that to give certainty on protection for individual celebrants taking a different view from a religious body that does agree to conduct same-sex marriages, an amendment will be required to the UK Equality Act." So in a nutshell we will not force religious bods to conduct the cermony in Kirks, however if you dont then you will be charged under the equality act for discrimination against gay folk if they refuse to carry out a marriage in the Kirk. I might ask the question how they plan to create their own Armed Forces with out impacting on country's armed forces. Some clear suggestions is that they will ask alkl current scottish soldiers to consider resigning from their current corps and regiments etc and Tuped over to the new scottish armed forces.
