  1. Nope, couldn't do it.
  2. I also think that 'pedant of the year award' should have read 'Pedant of the Year Award' but I could be wrong.
  3. It didn't hurt. It was just nasty what he was actually doing with my teeth, and the amount of time he was doing it for didn't help!
  4. No, only a football fan like you would know that!
  5. I had emergency root canal treatment over Christmas. It can't have been worse than that!
  6. I went to watch us play at Luton the last time we were there in the league. We were walking back to the station minding our own business when a car flew past and screeched to a halt up the road. 2 guys got out and starting chucking bricks at us from the side of the road. We weren't even wearing colours so not sure who they thought we were! Nice place...
  7. Flat out top speed is massively hindered by all the aero stuff on F1 cars. If you removed all the wings and aids they would be much quicker in a straight line. Trouble is they'd be about as stable as a 747 with one wing!
  8. You surprise me Baj!
  9. Depends on what you are likely to use the phone for. Basically it's a 2 way battle between an iPhone and a Blackberry really. I went for the Blackberry as everyone I know who's brought an iPhone moans like buggery about the tragic battery life on them. If you use them on a regular basis you will be charging them every single day. My Blackberry Curve will happily last 3 days which is a very important factor to me personally. Mine is primarily a business tool so a 15 hour battery life is simply unacceptable. I haven't had to charge a phone every day since my Motorola Micro Tac! The iPhone is undoubtedly more 'fun' but as with many other Apple products it's a case of form over function.
  10. From what I can read into it it's a more serious position than we were in. They owe so much money, to so many people, it's hard to see where it's going to come from. Unlike Pompey we were always going to be a very interesting proposition to a buyer due to our Premiership facilities and fanbase. Pompey on the other hand have Championship attendances, woeful facilities and a rotting, Championship/League 1 standard ground. With their squad about to be ripped apart in January in a vain attempt to muster some funds and the high liklihood of Championship football in front of 12-15,000 fans next season it's difficult to see anyone with any sense bailing them out is it? I suspect they will go the same way as Luton.

  12. Just out of interest does jailbreaking your iPhone increase the 1 day battery life?
  13. At least the fans are rallying behind their club in this time of financial crisis... http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Plenty-Of-Coventry-Tickets-Left-431.aspx
  14. Got a 7 year old Tosh Sat Pro still going like a trooper, one 5 year old Sat Pro I use as an *unused* back up for mine that has never let me down, one 2 year old sat Pro that is my current work horse and again, has never let me down. I've been a reseller for Tosh, HP/Compaq, IBM and Dell for 3 years and prior to that worked for a support company that sold and repaired Tosh, HP/Compaq, Dell and IBM. I have probably repaired somewhere in the region of 200-300 laptops in the last 6 or 7 years and have found Toshiba to be the most reliable with by far the lowest percentage of back to base repairs. I think everyone has their personal favourites for one reason or another, much like cars. It all boils down to personal experiences.
  15. Disappointing defeat today. all comments here please.
  16. Stop it please, both of you. Ta.
  17. 2nd half chat here.
  18. Half time chat.
  19. On our Orange live box you need to press one of the buttons on the back when you're connecting a new wireless device. (I think it's the 2 button)
  20. And us to win of course!
  21. A very real possibility. Just need Charlton to beat Brentford.
  22. No, but he's hardly demanded a starting place in the line up each week has he? I'd say he fits in the 'support player' category.
  23. I'd personally give any Dell laptop a wide berth. Go for Toshiba. My last 4 laptops have all been Tosh's and not one has had any sort of issue, despite heavy use. My first one (a 7 year old Pentium III) is still doing sterling service for my Dad and has been 100% reliable.
