  1. Why have people got such a hang up about NC being on the cover of the programme for the first game of a new season? I don't get it. What it said to me was "here we are at the start of an exciting new season, everyone is on the bus and pulling in the same direction and we are unified and I (NC) am leading us forward." I liked it. Made me feel proud.
  2. One minutes applause is usually reserved for when some one snuffs it. And was only really introduced because there are always a few bell-ends who don't respect the silence. We should just cheer his name for a good long time: "There's only one Danny Seaborne... etc"
  3. Just thought I'd let you know in case you thought - like me - it was a 7.45 kick off. Sky Sports 1
  4. Are any of our lads on international duty? Can't remember it being mentioned. Obviously the English players won't be (although Cork and Lanala should still be considered by Capello given that half the current English squad complain about international duty).
  5. Asparagus is hands down winner here. So much so that soldiers in the English civil war were banned from eating it lest the other side smelled it on the wind....allegedly. But seriously, sparrow grass really stinks.
  6. report to me after class, and you better hope you are wearing two pairs of underpants! Honestly.
  7. Apart from the Saints Ale (which I actually quite like) there is no pouring to do this season! Only unscrewing caps. How long would it take to complete the following transaction: "Next please.." "Awwight! Two lagers, ta" [unscrew, unscrew, place on counter] "Twenty nine quid plus parking is four hundred and sixty eight quid please" "Bargain!" [swipe...beep] "ta..." "ta...enjoy the game" "next please..."
  8. You've lost the bleedin' plot mate!
  9. Exactly, well said. And introduce payment cards which work a bit like an Oyster card in London. We charge them up either online or at a machine outside the ground and then just swipe it to pay. Works wonders at keeping the queues moving.
  10. I've just listened to the whole broadcast! Feking amusing! That woman 'Sarah'. I have a picture of her in my head which is probably very close to the truth. She sounds like a jumped-up little b-tch! Ok, so telling your fans to go and support a bigger, better and more prominent club is probably not the wisest thing to do but I have a lot of sympathy for Mitchell. Why is it that some people just can not understand that if the money is not there then it can not be spent? Why should he get all the flak for actually sorting out the club's long-term future even if it does mean slipping down the league? It beggars belief, it really does and just goes to show that a lot of fans (of all clubs) are just plain thick as two short planks. It is also really, really rude to slag off a man who has worked tirelessly without pay to help the club. I guess ultimately it comes down to an issue of class - or perceived injustice. Here is a wealthy man, done alright for himself and these pond-life fans think they are entitled to all his money. It is a wonder anyone would actually want to take a huge financial punt on a lower league club at all.
  11. Well those dodgy blue scousers can go whistle. They ain't getting him. And everyone here should just Calm Down.
  12. I agree. A sentence wishing him well would not have been out of place.
  13. No. In case you failed to realise, I was making a (admittedly rather drunken) political point about the similarities of wack-jobs on a murder binge and Western foreign policy. Maybe not subtly and perhaps not appropriately, given the context, but something in the pious tone of our 'leaders' pontificating about the 'evil' of that nutter's actions whilst not realising their actions were just as evil - if not more so - just really p!ssed me off. Anyhow, no need to get in to that here. This is thread about Dan.
  14. stay off the strong cider. It has a reputation for causing hallucinations!
  15. Yes, if he is guilty as charged then he too should be punished with a lengthy prison sentence. Why would you assume I would make an exception just because he plays football for Saints? Thuggery and lawlessness should always be punished severely. No wimpy liberalism of the Ken Clarke variety. If Barnard shoved a glass into someone's face and disfigured him and it is proven then he should lose his liberty for a long, long time and be made to live in the most basic conditions - not a cushy modern hotel-with-bars.
  16. absolutely. If, and God forbid it happens, Dan is left either brain damaged or significantly incapacitated such that his footballing career is over then it is perfectly Just to remove the thugs' liberty for the same amount of time that Dan loses.
  17. I bet the scum who did this to Dan end up with a soft 4 year sentence and will be out in 2 years. Whereas they should be sent down for 25 years hard labour - not playing Nintendo in their cushy cells but breaking rocks for 10 hours a day, every day. And 25 years should be just that. 25 years. We are too soft on thugs like these. I would also suggest taking a leaf out of the Malaysian justice handbook and sentence these scum to 20 hard lashes of the cane.
  18. I remember a lot of people on here slagging off KD for being a 'sh-t keeper' when he first joined. Forecast is doing his job, doing all that is asked of him under his contract and I guess that there is some serious sour grapes to be sucked by the infantile delusional brigade on this board who like to 'big themselves up' by pretending they know the character of someone because their mate's aunty's dog walker happened to over hear something in a bar one night.. Some folk on this board are really pathetic. Leave Forecast alone and get a life, all of you. Because he has a life, and is being paid handsomely for it unlike most of you losers who are probably stuck in dead-end jobs with no prospects. Ha! Ha! The last laugh is on you! Losers.
  19. you are kidding, right? Automatic promotion? That is the funniest thing I've ever heard! We are going to struggle to stay in the top half of the table. 5 games gone and a lucky start is all. May I remind you all that Blackpool were in the top 4 of the Prem after their first 5 games last season. And now where are they? All this hubris about having a good squad. Yes, fine, they are better than most div 3 sides. But please, get grounded. This is not a Championship winning team, as exciting and thrilling as they are to watch. Get grounded. Mid table is a good result, fighting to stay up is highly probable.
  20. Who is this Mitchell you talk of? And this Bournemouth football team? Are they professional? Never heard of them.
  21. Ethnic? Since when was a disparate bunch of benefit scum 'ethnic'? These f-ckers have decided to flout the laws of this land, yes they purchased the land, and it will still be theirs - after the rule of law is applied and their pikey ramshackle ILLEGAL dwellings are ripped down. Rule of Law. They have no planning permission. End of.
  22. well if Lambo feels it beneath him to get on the team bus to our next away game then he can damn well pay for his own petrol. And parking. Especially parking.
  23. oh my giddy aunt! Not two whole Black Lads in the car! Must be important! Are you sure?? Two Negro Chappies?? Wow! We have hit the Big Time! Two whole Colonials have been seen within driving distance of SMS! Yippee!!!! Guly, we got some Brothers comin' your way. Make you and Radhi feel more at home... FFS.
  24. I hardly call SPL 'top flight'. But that said, good point. The signings all have good high-level experience.
  25. That is just an accounting thing. Owner sets up company, makes a Director's Loan to company to get the ball rolling and so technically the company then has a liability to the owner.... who in the case of SFC and the holding company is/was ML. So he owes money to himself, basically. Really not a worry - if Miss/Ms Liebherr decides to sell then the price will include the repatriation of the director's loan.
