Dune gets it more than most because he tends to be on here more than most, and also nails his right-wing colours firmly to the mast with almost everything he posts. Alpine seemed to get most of the flak until he faded out post-wise. Liquid shocker had a bit of a rough ride as I recall it, and as for deppo......well, he's just deppo. Just had yet another email from somebody I apparently knew at school, for the last f*cking time I dont want to see them again!!! ffs, theyve been mithering me for 15 years about some poxy reunion, well I didnt like them then and I'm not going to like them now. Started out by making excuses, "sorry but Im on holiday that week" blablaa, moved through semi-insulting stuff, "didnt really enjoy my time there so I'll pass, but thanks for thinking of me," I'm actually going to have to tell them to f*ck off next time. I really dont understand the issue here. As to the argument that they are a revenue-raising idea, well that got knocked on the head ages ago. Several councils have removed their cameras in order to save money, and a government study showed that cameras are more expensive to run/maintain than the fines they generate cover.

Agrees/w this. The roads have definitely become more pleasant since the introduction of speed cameras as the "aggressive" drivers (as they usually term themselves, or as I prefer to call them, "c*nts",) are either having to drive within reasonable speed limits or lose their licences. There was a phone in on 5 Live about this a couple of years ago, some woman called in moaning that she'd racked up 3 speeding offences within a year, and with her voice rising to hysterical levels yelled indignantly that if she got another one she would lose her licence. As if that was somebody else's fault. I was thinking "well thats what theyrs for, to get drivers like you off the roads..." I dont pretend to be an angel on the roads, but in 30 years of 25k+ annually Ive only managed to rack up two speeding convictions, one in 1983 and one 4 years ago. It really isnt hard to avoid them.

....and the daddy of all annoying phrases, "Can I get......" Just got back from a pub lunch. Where did this monumentally irritating shlte come from? American tv shows? Why do they say it, its in every restaurant, bar or pub, some tw*t will be at the bar saying "Can I get a small glass of australian chardonnay and an open prawn and crayfish baguette and can I get a diet mineral water for my equally f*cking pretentious c*nt of a friend who has a peanut allergy so please wash your hands before pouring it if youve been handling peanuts......." (continues ad infinitum, whan all I want is a f*cking pint). Yes, you can get one, they sell them at waitrose, get me some rothmans while youre there. I dont know why I find this so irritating, but I could seriously stab these cretins in the eyeballs.
