  1. They mighy have but they haven't printed any. Home reports were accompanied by old photos of our players without showing who the opposition were. Some were even taken at away grounds.
  2. Played in that in the early eighties. We got a side up from our cricket club and played our home games at Fryern Rec. Won Divs 3 and 2 in successive seasons playing at such fine stadia as Worthies and Twyford. Played a s/f against an army team from the Light Division. They included Horace Notice, later to be British Heavyweight Boxing champ. I bounced 20 yards off him going for a header.
  3. Accounts.
  4. So was your phone. Call me.
  5. Phil. Just to let you know Hampshire are playing Yorkshire in a 4-day match, Monday to Thursday that week. If you are getting over in time, it could provide a valuable team bonding exercise and get us supporters well oiled for the evening ahead.

  7. Just sat down to read last nights Echo and realised the photos were of the match for the first time at home, since the "Staplewood Saga." Also carrying lengthier interviews with the players, rather than the one-liners they have quoted recently. As I haven't seen any other reference to this (although I have spent most of my time on the Blue Phew epic) can Dan or someone close to the action confirm when and how this was resolved.
  8. Thought we had done it in 84 but there was a 1-1 away game between the 8-2 v Coventry and 5-0 v Spuds. How about Boxing Day 65 5-3 at Cardiff followed by 5-1 home to Bolton on New Years Day. :smt041
  9. LOL at Terry the Builder on SSN still blaming the Premier League. "we shouldnt be docked points as its not the fans fault."
  10. I watched the London one last night (recorded ours) and they also showed the Brighton goals. How come they are in 2 areas?

  12. I have kept mine since the 66 promotion and made every effort to get one for every game I went to. This ended last year when I kept turning up at the ground only to find they had been sold out. Funny that as we were only getting 14 or 15k gates.
  13. He had been Manager for at least a month by then. His 1st or 2nd game was the afternoon k.o against Norwich in the league cup. By the time of the Sheff. Utd game we were 5th and were winning all our home games, but couldn't win away. (Sound familiar) We had got done 4-0 at Chelsea and only drawn 0-0 at ManUre, which was the 1973 equivalent of drawing at Wycombe. My memory of the game was that we were getting a right stuffing up until we scored with our only attack of the half. We then equalised in the 2nd before Alan Woodward scored one of his many 30 yarders against us. As stated earlier Currie ran the whole game. Remember we were 5th then and ended up getting relegated. Might have been different if Micky Channon hadn't missed a last-minute penalty against the Gooners in the next match on Boxing Day.
