Walcott was a puzzling signing given he is about as ineffective as both Redmond, Elyanoussi and Djenepo. We need a more dynamic player in there like a Tella. Typically Redmond buried his chance today but was a mile offside.

He came back from the EUROS absolutely buzzing about being involved and RH being RH let him cool off on the bench. Same treatment for Tella, buzzing at being in the team and lauded by Ralph at the end of last season, left to rot this. RH doesn’t do himself any favours with his bizarre decisions, substitutions, and selections.

True enough. I feel JWP’s game has gone a bit stale back there with Romeu. Further up he’d be inclined to pick a pass or get on the end of something.

Agreed. I did some napkin maths too in the game thread and we don’t have many goals in us at all. To have so many passengers in those #10 slots is killing us. It’d be fine if they threaded in passes and made assists but I think their assist record is worse than their goal record. RH will take off Redmond abs Ely but replace them with like for like and not Tella. Worrying times.

Do any of them have anything about putting yer foot through it and finding the net? We seem to just recycle 3 plans a) slow everything down and knock in easy floaty crosses b) pass sideways and back c) fanny about with it
