Exactly. We’ve got RaHa now so maybe everyone should get a clean slate and we get behind the ****ing team. If they don’t play well then they won’t feature in Ralph’s plans (unless we have no choice due to injuries/suspensions).
-
I didn’t say it would happen just that it would be hilarious. It’s another Saintsweb tradition to utterly trash our players. Trash them if they stay to warm the bench, trash them if they leave, trash them if they make a mistake, trash them because somehow a $12-18M player should be tearing up the league week in week out. We’re a work in progress hampered by poor management from Les, a bit of patience and lowered expectation would go a long way,

Would be ****ing hilarious if Hoedt and Boufal compete for Saints player of the season. How will some cope with a dry bed?
-
Maybe cabbage farce was right. We sold him by mistake but are in negotiations to buy him back for 23M.
-
The other argument is why take a haircut by selling him cheap and subsidizing his wages only to get in another Moi? Yes he’s disappointed us, but it makes more sense for Ralph to take a look at him first and see if he can get him playing more like the player we thought we were getting.

No Boufal = no party. Wonder what the parties are like though. Many Moroccan’s don’t drink.

An article on Mike Trout? Doesn’t seem Saints related, sounds more like Pompey to me...
-
I wonder if a spot in the midfield 2 with Hoj would suit him. For all his faults he did run with the ball and pass it well on occasion.

So is it pronounced “shay” or “chay” or something else?
-
Embarrassing that they had to speed up the clips. Why on earth would you do that, it’s not Benny Hill.

Jesus, 2 Heisen-posts in 2 days I’ve agreed with. Is it all the sun they got in Glasgow recently a factor?

VAR check underway. States have had so many penalties in this competition. Really harsh decision, again missed by ref and not a pen in my eyes.

Magilton score a beauty at the city ground vs Forest. Mickey Evans saved us from relegation. -

I remember a couple of Derek Statham thunderbolts. Saints had an elaborate free kick routine at the time that involved 3 passes before laying off to an o rushing Statham. -
England just got an equalizer ruled out. Ridiculous really. They need to run it like ice hockey. If the video replay isn’t clear then the original decision stands. Was not clear that she handled the ball, so goal should have stood. Just now the ref blew her whistle late while a free kick was in the air, everyone stopped and the ref just continued like nothing happened. What a ****show!

This, rather ridiculously has passed on to the pub league level too. I was fouled in the box, fell but stumbled back to my feet. Ref said "no pen". I asked why, he said it was because I didn't stay down. I asked if he thought it was a foul he said "oh yes definitely, but go down and make it look good next time" he said. Ridiculous, now we have players crying out and rolling over. Ugh.

Ah ok. Only saw it once and was wearing my Maple Leaf tinted specs...

Swede keeper was just as much ahead of her line as the Scotland keeper but no retake. I don’t mind VAR but it’s going to be consistent.

It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in the EPL. I worry that this makes it easier to favour the big teams. I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread that the big upsets usually have an element of luck about them. I can just see officials absolutely itching to help the big team with borderline calls on penalties and penalty retakes.

The offside rule has been ****ed around with so much it’s a total mess with many different interpretations on what interfering with play means or doesn’t mean, phases of play etc. Used to be so simple. Now we have VAR and almost every decision is interpreted differently by different people. You are totally correct, next season will be a total cluster ****.
-
A keeper will almost certainly get sent off. “To the viewers still with us, the scheduled episode of star trek will take place at a later date....it’s 2-2 in this shootout, the game started 3 hours ago and we are waiting on the VAR decision. Oh dear, a retake and red for the English goalkeeper, I say goalkeeper, this is the 2nd outfielder who has had to step in...oh and another delay for them to repaint the goal line, it’s getting a lot of action...stay tuned!”.
-
It’s a total farce. They took 5 minutes to decide if it was a penalty and then 10 seconds to say she didn’t have one foot on the line. We didn’t see any close ups (on TSN anyway) but it looked like her save was legit anyway. It is very unlikely a keeper saves a retake due to being so preoccupied with not encroaching again. This is worrying and a great way to make corruption a bit easier. Scotland balked up a comfortable lead but they didn’t deserve that, and they certainly didn’t deserve the ref blowing forvfull time even though they took ages to decide on the penalty.
-
Another ludicrous penalty retake. ****ing nonsense. What a mess this new rule is.

I watch a fair amount of MLS and often games go on really long due to multiple VAR decisions. Not uncommon to see games reach 100 minutes. Could be a pain for those that have trains to catch etc.
