Disagree with this, Clyne is a far better player. Yes Cedric puts himself about and covers a fair amount of that right hand side but he can't shoot and his crosses are mostly hit and hope.

Boufal was definitely in, you can see him when JWP finishes. PEH was pretty far forward if he was playing as one of the DMs. Hopefully this was an exercise in these mids losing the shackles and powering forward.

I’m normally positive and optimistic but these last few months have worn me down. Usually you can see what we’re trying to do and realize that it’ll come good with time. Not this time, we are in seriously deep ****. The only shining light has been Lemina. We need to do something drastic, and soon to right this ship. Remember when Koeman was having a terrible run, he changed the formation, brought in different players, youngsters hungry to succeed and we beat Everton and pushed on from there? We need some of that thinking right now. I like Redmond, but at the moment it’s not working, I like Tadic, but again he’s been way off what we know he can do since he bust his nose. If we keep playing like this, we will have to rely on 3 teams being worse, that’s not a good way to be in this league.

No doubt we’ll get fed a video of Tadic and Boufal scoring beautiful free kicks in training and Redmond and Bertrand blasting in past Stuart Taylor, smiles all round as Davis shows awareness and calmness to slot home. We’ll get a Cedric says “we need to work as a team” article and all will be gravy until next game when clueless MP shoehorns the wrong players into the wrong formation and we pass back to the halfway line every time we get into a threatening position. A couple of panic substitutions where we have 5 up front all swinging aimlessly at the ball in stoppage time should tie us over and give a glimmer of excitement until the next borefest of synchronized laziness from Tadic and his best pal Cedric down the right.
