Anyway these "ticket office figures" are always a bit hit and miss, I expect there to be nigh on 3000 saints fans there, I'm going (for once)
-
Provided we have the right midfield structure to feed Papa on the wing,he might just have a tendency to drift inside though. Still looking forward to his debut, hopefully with a win at Charlton to boot.
-
Have you never considered that it might be the club that doesn't suit the players rather than the players not being up to the job. There have been far far too many cases of players declining into mediocrity for it to be just a random thing.

If you want Morgan to become a playmaker it's very simple, give him a shirt with 10 on the back, it's like superman going into a telephone box and rippng off his city suit to reveal his blue zoot suit and red pants.;);)

It's probably not quite a straightforward as it looks. Most things seem easy from the outside looking in.

It would be interesting to know the limit of deficit that the OP thinks acceptable before we start moving upwards rather than face a season in the 4th division. To me -11 is nigh on that limit, -14/15 with 35 games left would probably be beyond it, it's all well and good saying give it time, but how much more do we have,I'd say we need another 56/60 points from our 40 remaining games,it's still doable but getting on towards point zero.

the bloke is gangly, he weighs a bit over 11 stone. WE shall see, I said I should be surprised that's all. You all see him as some sort of Messiah, I see him as another second rate senagalese footballer who can't cut it in Serie A.
-
I am a connaisseur of African Footballers, look at Utaka, the bees bollix at Lens, struggling like hell at Pompey, our game just doesn't suit them. It's nothing negative but the bloke has had no real success outside Italian serie B when he was at Cesena, these blokes need to be protected by refs and he won't get that in League 1.

Real examples of managers turning it round
Window Cleaner replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Saints
At half-time.Piquionne would get 10 all by himself.Perry would be non-existent to a player such as he.When Fred was at St E he was running 10O metres in something like 10.30, in trainers not spikes or anything. The bloke is FAST. Look at the local athletics results 10.30 would probably get you into the B relay squad for GB aths, in trainers no less. -
I should be extremely surprised if Waigo does anything at all positive, third division english football will probably not be his cup of millet beer.Prepare for another Torpedo, Sarmiento,Griffit,Sarli type deception. He will get kicked up in the air 10 minutes into the game next week and after that he will become invisible.
-
Spurs have Arry Redknapp, probably the best English manager in the game today, we had him but were unable to provide the conditions necessary for him to work his 'magic'.It's really as straightforward as that, you don't hire a guy like Harry and then tell him there's only 54p to spend on players and put a complete ***t like Woodward in his trajectory. To get the best out of Harry you have to let him do things his way and just pay the bills and not ask questions.
-
You see we bought Lambert for a mill and no doubt a handsome salary but today he didn't score and yet Bristol Rovers beat much fancied Millwall 2-0; It is a villain trend in football to buy the seeming king and ignore the kingmaker, we can't score and yet the club that we gave a million quid to can, despite losing the league's leading scorer, kaleidoscope is the key word, always changing ,never looks the same.We need to become that kaleidoscope so that the opposition can never foresee our game.
-
He wil soon get tired of it, I expect him to try to sell the club before the year is out.Lowe will probably take it off his hands for 35p
-
I think we tried to have a clear out this summer-nul prosequi, the players that someone actually wanted were those we wanted to keep, unless it was silly money on offer, the players we don't want, well we couldn't loan them out or give them away at any price, same old same old really.
-
we will get a hiding from Charlton, or maybe not, we are Saints remember, nothing is predictable.
-
I'mnot sure that playing it on the grass is one of Pardew's theories. As Brian Clough said, "if god meant for football to be played up in the air he'd have put grass up there".Football is a simple game, played on the turf and not 3 meters above it.
-
Well if he was that good Fiorentina wouldn't have loaned him out for a season would they. He's serie B, probably got overconfident as well, don't get your hope up, poor man's Henri Camara, a little home truth, if a french speaking african is any good, there's always a french club willling to take a punt on him, Marseille, Monaco, Lens,Lille,PSG,St Etienne take your pick clubs virtually entirely peopled by africans or french of african descent, why didn't they take Papa Waigo? who the f*ck knows. He nearly went to Toulouse last autumn apparently, why he didn't i have no idea, Toulouse Jeff might be able to enlighten us on that.
-
Anyway as no side has failed to get at least a point from us including 3 home games it's not really surprising is it. We should be dominating this league, we aren't thus others are getting points from us tht they shouldn't be getting. Too many mediocre players, needed to spend big and not on one trick ponys like Lambert. The opposition in the main have had two or three seasons to study his game, they have now got him sussed and shackled.
-
but he probably runs around a lot and hustles and bustles which is what a lot of our coforumists think makes a good player. A good player reads the game, is where he needs to be at the right time with a minimum of effort. Beckenbauer looked one of the laziest bastards ever to wear a pair of football boots. So did Gerd Muller, the list is endless, Jimmy Greaves scored shedloads because he was always where he needed to be at the right moment.
-
I have just been reading on the BBC that some women believe that kebabs and chicken skin are effective contraceptives as well, that's what happens when education becomes second to making money .
-
Still we're only 17 points behind the play-off places!! Isn't that what you're supposed to post on here nowadays? New management have got it all wrong, should have kept Wotte and given him the wherewithal to take this league by storm, a sort of shock and awe. Still they're content grubbing about in the bargain basement, Lowe must be giving them lessons.
-
Any betting on this golf Tony?
-
I don't see what's quite so shocking, just another punter trying to take advantage of a situation which shouldn't exist anyway. Betting is stupid, anyone who makes a few bob out of it is just normal.
-
Boothroyd doesn't need a work permit,Jaidi does or so it would seem, don't know if he'll get it by Saturday though.
-
Well I think it will depend on the department of work and pensions rather than Boothroyd, if Jaidi plays alongside Trotman we shouldn't concede, whether we score or not is the variant. Don't think N'Diaye will be match fit but he should be able to shake Colchester up for 25 minutes or so. IF we play Morgan to feed N'Diaye with the sort of pass he's used to we may do very well, if not who the f*ck knows.
