  1. what a lot of nervous nellies you all are, we will slaughter them 1-0 ;)
  2. And MLT didn't have a clue what he was doing: he should just shut his trap about everything other than the few games he comments on for the TV.
  3. well yes, i had to go in with the moderate sort of Charlton fans cos my couz sort of follows them, can't really call him a fan cos he's from Raynes park and supported Wimbledon till they relocated, now he lives in Greenwich and goes to Charlton games but he's a sort of fan by proxy. However he did have to tell me to keep it down a bit yesterday.
  4. Trouble with a CM taking corners is that he's not where he should be if the the opposition win the ball and counter attack. Waigo can probably do the job well enough, looking forward to that against Yeovil, he and Morgan will take them apart, probably 6 or 7 nil to us.
  5. nope kd was up to his usual standard on crosses-f**king useless. we will get done time and time again by that, still Jaidi should sort the b*stards out a bit.KD is a great shot stopper, incredible reflexes and all that but on crosses he's an epsilon.
  6. Not so much, yesterday Morgan set up Fish with a glorious ball that split their defence in 2,that Fish couldn't put it away clinically is where we're wrong not the creation of chances. It's no good having a player like Morgan if you can't put away what he sets up.It's not about huff and puff it's about clinical finishing.
  7. Nothing is quite so funny as an acne riddled 14 year old giving it large when seperated by an electrified rail from a 6'3" 15 stone + dock worker, kids are pathetic, all of them, no exceptions.I remember being 14, riding my bike to school, watching saints from the choccy boxes and day dreaming about giving any woman(or girl) who crossed my path one,for being mixed up Holden Caufield was streets behind me.
  8. Unfortunately not,he mesoamerican long count calendar is all bollix, the in-laws will still be round for Xmas in 2012 as well still we should have won a game by then. I had an excellent day out today, few beers with the couz, saw what to me was an excellent game and thought that the result was about right, no complaints really because we looked good most of the time and I'm sure that we'll get there soon.
  9. Saga doesn't look to be in the squad, Holmes is though
  10. I think it's going to be thoroughly modernised soon ,probably not in a very constructive way, I know that they've put mobile phone coverage in, buggers can't even walk 500 yards without using their mobiles.
  11. You could always ride down to Greenwich and go through the foot tunnel to Woolwich as well.Bit of a hike but it's of historical interest.I shall be going that way with my cousin but then he lives Greenwich way.
  12. Sussex won't have got many points then, sounds all good for us providing we can finish off the Worcs tail.
  13. Indeed especially as another wicket has now gone but we have been famously inadept at finishing sides off this season.Should be OK now though
  14. Anyway he needs to come back on and break up the current partnership before they build up too big a score, we don't want to be chasing 200+ on the 4th day, knowing our luck it will p*ss down with rain all day and we'd only get a draw from a match we should have won in 2 and a half days.
  15. Anyway these "ticket office figures" are always a bit hit and miss, I expect there to be nigh on 3000 saints fans there, I'm going (for once)
  16. Provided we have the right midfield structure to feed Papa on the wing,he might just have a tendency to drift inside though. Still looking forward to his debut, hopefully with a win at Charlton to boot.
  17. Have you never considered that it might be the club that doesn't suit the players rather than the players not being up to the job. There have been far far too many cases of players declining into mediocrity for it to be just a random thing.
  18. If you want Morgan to become a playmaker it's very simple, give him a shirt with 10 on the back, it's like superman going into a telephone box and rippng off his city suit to reveal his blue zoot suit and red pants.;);)
  19. It's probably not quite a straightforward as it looks. Most things seem easy from the outside looking in.
  20. It would be interesting to know the limit of deficit that the OP thinks acceptable before we start moving upwards rather than face a season in the 4th division. To me -11 is nigh on that limit, -14/15 with 35 games left would probably be beyond it, it's all well and good saying give it time, but how much more do we have,I'd say we need another 56/60 points from our 40 remaining games,it's still doable but getting on towards point zero.
  21. the bloke is gangly, he weighs a bit over 11 stone. WE shall see, I said I should be surprised that's all. You all see him as some sort of Messiah, I see him as another second rate senagalese footballer who can't cut it in Serie A.
  22. I am a connaisseur of African Footballers, look at Utaka, the bees bollix at Lens, struggling like hell at Pompey, our game just doesn't suit them. It's nothing negative but the bloke has had no real success outside Italian serie B when he was at Cesena, these blokes need to be protected by refs and he won't get that in League 1.
  23. At half-time.Piquionne would get 10 all by himself.Perry would be non-existent to a player such as he.When Fred was at St E he was running 10O metres in something like 10.30, in trainers not spikes or anything. The bloke is FAST. Look at the local athletics results 10.30 would probably get you into the B relay squad for GB aths, in trainers no less.
  24. I should be extremely surprised if Waigo does anything at all positive, third division english football will probably not be his cup of millet beer.Prepare for another Torpedo, Sarmiento,Griffit,Sarli type deception. He will get kicked up in the air 10 minutes into the game next week and after that he will become invisible.
  25. Spurs have Arry Redknapp, probably the best English manager in the game today, we had him but were unable to provide the conditions necessary for him to work his 'magic'.It's really as straightforward as that, you don't hire a guy like Harry and then tell him there's only 54p to spend on players and put a complete ***t like Woodward in his trajectory. To get the best out of Harry you have to let him do things his way and just pay the bills and not ask questions.
