Do you think it may be man-management
Window Cleaner replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
Well ,I don't go in for any of it.I don't do funerals, weddings(other than civil),christenings or any other organised necromancy.Everybody understands and is OK with it. Still I support the Saints all the same, but just the footballing version -

God has nothing to do with football, it's a known fact. -
Is anyone concerned about Middlesbrough...

Well I hope that goes well for him then, not his biggest fan myself but hey it's Middlesborough so what do I care. -
People that know him?? I've explained it before, won't go over it again.
-
And I keep wondering why I keep hearing rumours that Morgan hates it at SMS and can't wait to move on. 70% of the fans just don't appreciate him because he is just too cultured for them. Why even Gillett was estimated to be better because he runs around like a headless chicken.IF Connolly starts then either Lallana or Waigo will make way for him, with the latter being more probable. It's about balance.

Anyway reading through Gibson's explanation on the BBC it would seem that whoever he wants to get is available now but wouldn't be in a short time or wasn't before.Wouldn't be surprised if he gets Roy Keane in.Could be linked to Newcastle I suppose if Ashley doesn't sell the club and appoint Houghton on a permanent basis whoever the "consortium" had lined up may be on the market again. Nothing to do with Pardew though, there are plenty of candidates with a better resumé than his. -

A really strange decision, decided on before their win over Derby apparently. After supporting Southgate for so long Gibson decides to sack him because of a couple of home defeats although their away form was pretty reasonable. Still we should have sacked Burley and didn't so you just never can tell what goes through these chairmans' minds can you. -

Strachan always ends up odds on favourite for any job that's going. He is the bookies favourite pot-boiler. People always put money on him whether he's interested in the job or not.Middlesborough will probably end up with some half-baked third choice manager. Why they sacked Southgate when they're fourth in the table and a point off the automatic places, both occupied by fellow descendees, sure beats me.Can only be about money -
British habit through and through. I see on another thread they're trying to "improve" the team for the Championship and the Premier even though we're still at least 2 wins away from quitting the relegation zone of League 1. Stability everywhere is what we need, when we have better then I'm sure it'll float to the top.
-
As it stands the team is just fine as it is. Why change it ? we've won 3 league games on the trot and scored 10 goals. No point in tinkering with the side just now, we have a decent bench and a few players looking to break into the side. Any player we bring in now would just be to improve cover. I know many don't rate James but he seems to be doing what's asked of him, who needs more. What we don't need is overpaid prima donnas, we've learnt our lesson the hard way on that one.
-
Meaning Lambert has already scored 3 penalties. QED
-
still, I think we'll know more after this saturday's game. In passing, I see that Leeds have signed Vokes on loan,as many seem to rate him highly that isn't a great sign for us when we play them in December.
-
In fact, I think the thread title should be changed to "The Sun can f**k right off" to put it into proper Southampton parlance.
-
I don't quite see how he'll be fitted into the side anyway.Pardew has sifted through what he inherited and changed what he found unacceptable. In bringing in Lambert and Connolly he's indicated that Saga plays no significant part in his plans so don't count on him getting any major opportunities to redeem himself. No doubt AP wants shot of him but there aren't so many takers.
-
Correction accepted, but then again not the sort of move you'd have expected for the Marion Pahars of his heyday when,if I remember rightly, "big clubs" were trying to shower us with money for him.
-
It took Skacel about 4 months to find a new club (back at Sparta Prague) Pahars could only find some minor cypriot side to take him on. It's not as easy as it looks to get a new club when you've been border line for a couple of seasons, especially if you're looking for over the odds money.
-
All the same the list is a bit simplistic really. All those drug cheat in cycling and athletics don't even get a mention, neither does Bruce Grobelaar or other footballers convicted of match fixing in a big way, bent refs in all sports and dodgy plastic beach balls .I think Juventus and Marseille both got relegated for match fixing, surely that's far more serious than kicking a ball into touch to win a few quid.
-
the trouble with that is his salary, which must be huge in ratio to his performances for quite some time.He has the rest of this season left (I think) so he's probably isn't in any hurry to go anywhere for less money.
-
probably got one of the worst 3 managers though.
-
Listening? I hear they're watching.
-
perhaps losing at home to BR wasn't a very good result either. Think the whole set up got a good shaking up from top to bottom after that (or so it is rumoured).

Not surprising, he is obviously surplus to requirements just now.
