Doubt it actually.I think we are really really broke, Mother Hubbard Syndrome if you like.

Not me OSM, I'm on late shift 1200 miles away on Wednesday. Watching over you all as usual..

What?? he'd have put in 35 billion out of his own pocket dont'cha know.

The question is of us being relegated before the last match. 9 points from 7 games would probably stop that happening. If you move on to the 4th April matches you have something like Blackpool-Plymouth and Barnsley-Forest. So unless we lose t home to Charlton we're obliged to make up ground on some-one there.
-
No I'm assuming we'll carry on getting 1.3 points per game as we have so far under Wotte's tenure, that's why I say "statistically". Going into the last game we'd be on 48 points or so and I doubt whether all of the others would have obtained 52 points by then because there are a few games between them.
-
Statistically it's highly unlikely given the make up of the matches and the pt/match average of each of the relegation candidates.

We spent it on crap. Find the Echo from 20th January 2006, it's all detailed in there.Since then there has been more crap in than good players out. We are wastrels, we turn good money into crap.
-
Probably because of the bit of money we made from the Utd game. we shipped out John and I suppose gained a bit of leeway for Saga. Euell and Skacel have been here all along, doubt if there's much appearance related money to be honest.
-
You can't even take risks with money you don't have and can't get. That's our problem, money doesn't grow on trees at SFC, never has, we have hardly ever made money, not even in the glory days of the premiership. When we had a team we didn't have a ground, then when we had a ground we didn't have a team apart from 1 season. Our only real source of money has been selling players and now we don't have any to sell.

As long as he doesn't play against Norwich like he did against Rotherham it makes no difference to us really.
-
Looks like one of the loanees they've just got in has injury problems already. Still with an international break after this week-end's games I guess it's a good time to get new players in. Not that we will mind you, probably be more outs than ins.

What with all those Ripley Holden stereotypes, poor bugger.

What Creates Your Happiest Saints Moments
Window Cleaner replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
Steve Moran was probably involved in over half of them, allied with Alan Ball or Steve Williams in most cases. I'm sure most younger fans think we old fogies make this stuff up, but we don't, we were really top class in those days. -
No doubt. But how we finish may depend on who we play and who the other candidates play. I have broken this down into 5 categories. Teams battling it out for automatic promotion=AP Teams with serious play-off chances PO Mid Table, nothing to play for really= MT Relegation is a possibility (more or less) =RT Charlton who are already as good as down=C. Obviously these categories change with every result but to date it goes for teams in 18th -23rd place: Saints 1AP,1PO,3MT,2RT 1C Forest 1AP,2PO,1MT,3RT, Blackpool 1AP,2PO,OMT,3RT1C Norwich 2AP,1PO,3MT,1C Plymouth 1AP,2PO,3MT,2RT Barnsley 2AP,2PO,3MT,2RT So in theory Forest have the hardest run-in in terms of teams who have exterior motivation other than wanting to win for the sake of winning. Closely followed by Blackpool However if we can't score goals all that makes little difference because no matter how much we want to win-we won't.

FREEPOST? we can't be that hard up then. If they have to pay for all the crank applications they'll be getting our overdraft will soar.
-
Don't know,do palarse still believe thay have a chance of making the plays-off? I see that QPR still think they're in with a chance despite being 10 points behind the 6th placed side and having played a game more. Some of these managers will say anything to get an extra fan into the stadium.

Not to mention the anthem of all true football fans :Love over Gold.

Britt Eckland wrote that (well not really it was the Sutherland Bros) but Britt claimed most of Rod's work you know. as for Dire Straits .............

But really this is just crazy desperate talk. We have strikers, let them strike. Putting a CB up front for a whole half would just lead to endless high ball pumped into the box to be gobbled up by the opposition defence and keeper who would pump the ball straight down the field to hit our defence with wave after wave of attacks until we finally cave in; It's what happened with the JP system, no ball holding in midfield and attack=get hit on till you crack.
-
Anyone who has missed an open goal or an easy chance when a 1-O win instead of a 0-0 draw would have made all the difference. It's as basic as that. I blamed the players 100% last time, this time they may only get credited with 90%.

Lallana should be loaned out somewhere, Salisbury or Mottisfont should be about his level. Why we persist with the bloke I've no idea, we should have taken any offer that was made for him and got ourselves a midfield player.
-
Yep that's it, we're paying 2 "strikers" a total of £24000 a week and we have to try to get either a free transfer or an on loan centre half to score goals for us. Sums us up really.
-
I just wish we'd got that £5 million that someone was supposed to be paying us for him. With 5 million swans we could get a whole team of Lallanas and still have enough left over to pay off half of our overdraft. The fact that we didn't take tends to indicate that it was an urban myth.
