You don't know that James is suspended that's obvious. But anyway how are you going to get the ball with that midfield, where are the soldiers they're all artists.Liptak won't play at right back because he can't. If he could he would havde done so at Blackpool. Holmes will play,Morgan,Wotton and Surman in midfield. Lallana is a luxury just now unless he does what he's best at and get down the right wing, but he won't he'll just drift into centre midfield.
-
Well we'll just have to be adventurous and take the game to them won't we.We need to win anyway.I don't particularly rate Gillett anyway though many give him good reports of late. I'd rather see something far more constructive in midfield and let Wotton do the water carrying.Just let him protect Thomson a bit and break down a few attacks.

The Fat Controller will no doubt be delighted . Thomas probably won't play for us this season, maybe in an emergency for the last match but you just don't come back from 9 month's injury like that. Depends what he's been doing in rehab.

I think someone informed us (correctly or not) that we're up to date with our payments to the IR.I do think that whatever the result on the field the club is being wisely and scrupulously run.The players are apparently being paid in full and if we're up to date with the IR well the situation's not so bad. I'm sure those that know the true situation are acting in the best interests of the PLC and the shareholders. If the football's crap, then it's because we just can't afford anything better until overheads are whittled down to a reasonable level. How anyone can berate the board for not putting the club into administration when they don't know their arse from their elbow about the accounts I just couldn't say.

Rupert is on 2 days a week pro-rata, probably 60K a year. Cowan now? is it 1 day a week for 25K/annum or something like that. Wilde probably claims minimal expenses for the little time he spends at board meetings or whatever; He's allowed but few days in the UK anyway. In fact he beefed with the old board about arranging too many board meetings and running up expensive slates. You can be sure that all 3 of them put together don't earn more that Lawrie Mac 'ambassadorial expenses" last year. Probably far less. Then we had Hoos,Hone,Dulieu,Oldknow, all on salaries plus all the other odd bods sticking in their expense chits now and again. Jeez do we need to get those half year figures out, it will put a definitive end to all this money nonsense. In my (uninformed) opinion we have slashed every penny off the outgoings thats is possible, otherwise with what we're getting through the gate we'd have been goners months ago.

well I think you have to have some debts to administer, otherwise you just wind up the company or get someone else in to run it.Administrators cost money, no point in getting them in if what you really want is a CEO or Operations Director. Oh I see what you mean can a creditor put you into administration? no I think they have to apply either for a winding up order in the courts or ask the courts to make you pay what you owe them. Look up Cardiff and err whatever that creditor was called.

Well I don't fancy her anyway. I'd rather watch Oceans 13 if that was the only other option really. -
I used it on purpose.

What is wrong with the South Coast clubs?
Window Cleaner replied to sidthesquid's topic in The Saints
Well I'm sure you're right. However did you know that in Manchester there are 47% of the households without a car and in Southampton it's only 30%? Manchester is about 10% down on the national average on GCSE numbers, yet the average household revenue is still above that of Southampton which is well below the national average and even further below the South East average. To me Southampton is a relatively poor city because the jobs are mainly in education, health care and retailing (these make up about 42%) I am not saying your average south coast fan in less passionate but is certainly more discerning what he does with his money, maybe because of higher educational standards. -
nearly finalised according to Sky. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5121566,00.html Edit the title for me would you please, someone with that magic power must be looking in Thomson, how crass of me to get that wrong-again.

The -15 at Leeds was for some sort of dodgy dealing or other. It was not specifically linked to the administration itself but to something untoward during (or on exiting) administration. If you manage admnistration according to everybody's rules about it there are no automatic points penalties other than 10 points (whenever) for going into admin in the first place, unless of course you're a recividist..

Bof Labour MPs have always been a bit on the iffy side, remember Southampton's very own John Stonehouse ?? I worked with his sister at a holiday job once, Lady Mayoress she was because her Mum was mayor. I'm sure she might have had an inkling that he hadn't really drowned himself. Mind you the others aren't much better, Lonhro, Profumo, mind you Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice-Davies were top crumpet, better than a couple of iffy TV films. -

Well yes, you're probably right, I only sort of half overhead half of Sky's pitch on it yesterday. -
Oh yes he would, he's a very very stubborn man.Plus he doesn't decide all by himself you know.In fact being seen to battle against admin at all costs would be a + for him in any buy out attempt should administration be finally inevitable. I think He, Wilde and Cowan are probably putting in a wee bit of money from their own sources even now. They want to stay up and get next season's pactole,it was the winning post from the moment they took over again. Whether we'll stay up is 50/50 but until it becomes 20/80 we'll not go into administration and perhaps not even then. Depends what they've got lined up as sure fire player sales for the close season. There may be documents of intent for the sale of the few remaining values that we have to keep the bank silent if not happy.

Most players get over it fairly swiftly and get fit and then play football again. Pulis seems to be suffering from latter day Owenpahars syndrome, nothing heals up as expected or if it does something else breaks whilst it's happening. Pulis is a football manager's son, perhaps he played through far too many injuries in the little leagues just to please his dad.Now he has no recovery powers left in him. Happens all the time, if I had a euro for every kid I've seen destroyed by over enthusiastic parents I'd move to the Bahamas.

But going into administration wouldn't stop us going down any leagues. In fact it would probably accelerate the process. We have few players who would bring in much of a fee but whatever was proposed would be accepted and they would be gone. Years of work down at the academy would be sprayed around like pig manure in February for very little income. So we'd have even worse players and no money to pay them. The punter through the gate next season because Lowe and Wilde were no longer in charge wouldn't change much. The club has been losing money for a few years now, it's not 16K League 1 crowds that would change that.Saint's core fanbase is about 15K,whilst playing the likes of Palace,Derby and QPR we get a couple of thousand away fans in.Won't get that many from Oldham and Southend. The debts still have to be addressed in a serious manner, there is no buying the club out for 5 million and starting again you know. It needs serioyus finance and we won't attract that in League 1.

Isn't Lloyd James still suspended for the Charlton game?

Oh Ms Smith knows her way around an expenses claim form apparently. Apparently she pays her husband (and claims for it I suppose) 20K a year to be her assistant, when he has time off from watching porn, Oceans 13 and some animated cartoon films of course. She has claimed (according to Sky News) buckets of folding for a room at her sisters, a dining room table,a sofa,a kitchen sink and a whole pile of other stuff. The woman is a profiteer of the system, why should she worry about 20£ for a couple of films when the rest runs into C of Ks. -

I thought that she lived round at her sister's anyway. Probably why the old man was watching porn. -

Yes but how many times has it gone down before? Why do the paying public have to fork out for their TV and Internet links? It's just a joke. do not forget Maggie T forewent some of her salary because "her husband was a rich man".
