  1. Including dodgy films at the taxpayers expense??
  2. Looks like Bravo is really laying into them, we had them on the ropes, now? not so sure.
  3. In olden days this region built ships, mined silver, repaired railway apparatus, handled large passenger liners and most container ships, built atomic bombs and had sizeable garrison towns, now all that happens south of the M4 is gaudy commercial centres and catching the 7.45 to the smoke.
  4. I think they've worked out that giving you a free ticket with a home shirt bought actually makes them more money than just selling a cheap ticket. So it's a tandem effort, probably write both offers up from tomorrow morning, first light.
  5. Strachan didn't know what to do with players like Svennsson, told him off for a back heeled flick in training apparently. Didn't know what to do with blokes like Delgado either, if fact talent in it's purest form when unallied to huff and puff and graft was a foreign language to WGS, and as we all know he had no time for foreign languages.
  6. What's all this about hallowed turf anyway. Will it not be resurfaced in the summer ready for next season. Might as well get a few quid out of a few people before you rip it up anyway. Most years the Hampshire Senior Cup final was played at the Dell, the reserves played there, Southampton Boys played there,I played there even.Only since we've had Staplewood has all that stopped. The turf certainly isn't "hallowed", might be just as well if the players actually trained on the pitch at St Mary's ,perhaps they'd get a better feeling for home games.
  7. No ; Lithuania-France starts at 8 35 and if I turn the lights off I won't be able to see all those Africans that play for us now.
  8. He said it was formal, those are the niceties involved in formal letter writing.
  9. No, you put her name (using Ms ......) at the top where you'd normally put the addressee anyway and then commence Dear LMadam, because it's a formal letter and she's a stranger Ms Jean Smith 22 Buckwood Gardens Middenham Gloucester GL 22 OS46 Dear Madam, In reference to you missive of 22 March ........ You also have to put your name and address at the top and show the date
  10. Dear Madam (because obviously she's a stranger to you).
  11. The south coast isn't football territory. I know I'll get accused of stereotyping but if you don't have core industry you can't support top class football.Unless of course you're Chelsea . To succeed at football now you need fans with money that burns a hole in their pocket and no qualms about spending it on football rather than getting the lawn mower repaired or 3 nice potted geraniums for the conservatory.
  12. I am intrigued, how did the dastardly villains get the addresses to send the letters. I mean here in France everybody pays road tolls by Carte Bleue, shove it in the machine, take it out and drive on, nobody ever gets dodgy mail from it though.
  13. That's a lot of moolah, strange that nothing at all shows up in the annual accounts about it.Would be in "player trading" I suppose. No mention of it whatsoever.
  14. You might know this Um, How much did we get from the Scottish FA as compensation for Burley? Did Crouch drive a hard bargain ?
  15. And so he will with the 2 million £ hit in the pocket that administration will bring to him. He should never, ever have tried his "coup d'etat" back in July 2007, if he hadn't done that he'd probably still be running the show and putting in 2 million £ every week or so.;)
  16. But this is like Andrew Davies all over again, everybody (well half of you anyway) were sh*t scared that he would be far too good for us and we wouldn't do anything against him. Result? Subbed at half time (I think or didn't even play) and we win 3-1. He's been chucked out of the side at Preston or so it would seem.Blackstock probably won't get a game against us unless he starts scoring in every match from next Saturday onwards the Forest fans will get on his case.
  17. Saga's probably doubling up as footman at Lowe Towers then.
  18. Why did they stop playing him then?? Couldn't afford his appearance fees perhaps.
  19. Draw 1-1 or so,keeps them both in the scrap. The more there are the better chance we have of staying up.I think Forest will get a severe tonking though,Davies has gone mad on the loans front, signing more loan players than he can field and destabilising the team when it doesn't need to be .
  20. Probably Bacardi and Diet Coke in our politically correct age.
  21. It was a squad with no creative ability whatsoever and defenders who won't ever get a look in at first team level if they don't undergo 100% improvement. It was a crap side, probably one of the worst reserve sides we've ever put out. Gobern has gone right off the boil since he scored for the first team, may have got injured though..
  22. You must rate Blackstock more highly than I do then. What difference will he make to forest at the rate of a goal every 3.5 games? Sounds like the panic button is being pushed down at' City Ground.7 loanees of which they can put 5 on the team sheet.
  23. I'd probably spend it more usefully though, a nice villa somewhere hot and a very small Porsche. Far better than spending it on more useless wasters.
  24. True, but I meant current first teamers who play on a regular basis. Should have been specific I suppose.Anyway very poor result although Reading did play Lita, why is he hanging about in their reserves when they can't score against crap like Palarse? They could loan him to us (and pay him of course).
  25. Exactly, that's why Skacel, Euell and Saga are still here. Still our gain is the other teams' loss.
