I love the way so many people bandy a million £ about as a sum people are likely to have in their back pocket waiting for something to spend it on. Many of you will would never handle a million £ in your whole life, yet guys are supposed to have it in readies waiting for the day they need it. Average Southampton salary 22K£x 40 years at work=880K so you're still short of a couple of bob.
-
So would they, they probably would be hard pressed to scratch up a similar amount between them.

Well seemingly shares cannot be traded until we publish our half-year accounts. No doubt sales could be agreed and transacted when we announce the accounts.
-
Who says we're going on the cheap?? This fact has never been scientifically established. The shares are cheap but as they can't be traded (oh dear, what a pity, never mind)..... There are debts and those will need paying, same as now.

Davies and Frost have been mentioned on virtually every thread since 1888,nothing has ever happened to date and probably never will. Idem Salz,Fulthorpe,Merrington, Paul Allen, Tom Gurney etc etc

Are Aviva (N.U) in the government's toxic debt programme? Couldn't be better, cheap(er) and better football on the taxpayer. Utopia this way ladies and gents.

He's in a win/win situation, if they don't go down he's the geordie messiah as usual. If they do go down it will be the fault of Ashley/Kinnear/MacDonald's/Gordon Brown because he didn't have enough time to turn it around.
-
Probably not as he's never been arsed (his words not mine) to obtain even the most basic coaching certificate. He did start once but found it boring and didn't finish it.Unless he's done it lately of course but I fancy not.
-
Mind you if it transpired that the only people who really get shafted in all this (apart from the shareholders of course) are a set of bankers, I might consider that on a par with beating Utd 6-3.

Thanks a lot.

SMS is owned by St Mary's Stadium Ltd or something of that ilk.
-
But it's highly likely, is that it?
-
Has it been announced that we are going into administration. Where does that come from??
-
But we're not actually in administration yet, is that right? Haven't time to trawl through 5000 posts because I'm supposed to be working.

It was rumoured some time back that Rupert was seen coming out of Hextalls, who have a specialist sports insolvency practitioner.Perhaps football league rules haven't been updated to the latest brilliant wheezes by high flying kick ass fijudicial practitioners. Don't forget OJ got off first time on a technicality that nobody had even thought of.
-
Tell me all the above tomorrow, maybe I'll take it seriously then.

Davies was an iffy signing for Stoke, they've been thoroughly shafted on it. 1.3 million plus a years salary (by the time summer comes round and they can loan him out again to some Lge 1 club) at 12K a week for what??? absolutely f**k all. Never ever sign an injured player, no matter how good he is or was you need to wait and see what happens when he tries to get back into the game. If the sale of goods act was applicable to Davies he'd have been back here long ago,it's just one injury after another with him. He may get over them all and become a decent player but now it's a 2 million jab in the ass for Stoke. We just have Pulis to be "triste" about.
-
Trouble is we have to field a reserve team now and again. Last night's was reasonable but the one we turned out against Reading was lamentable. We had to sign some really iffy players to be able to field a reserve side, must be some football league rule or other I suppose. Pulis just hasn't worked out I guess. On an aside note I predict (via my 2009 sports almanac obtained during a day trip to the future) that Gasmi will score from a 28 yd free kick this very Saturday afty, not a vital goal though because we were already 3 -O up.

There are 2 offers. One buy a home shirt and get a free ticket voucher for any oneof the remaining 3 home games, the other is 15£ for the Charlton game, £5 concessions. Just ring or contact the TO online, they'll put you straight.

We aren't a side equipped to play 3 at the back and certainly not with Skacel being part of the 3. It's 2 stoppers and a sweeper behind them usually. If you play Size and Perry as stoppers you need a rugged, all seeing midfield player behind them (and occasionally in front of them to relance the system when possible) that's not a Skacel sized job really. Morgan has the technical ability but at 19 he's just not got the experience for the job. All the best sweepers are converted defensive midfield players. We haven't got anyone that fits the bill. I'm not sure that Saga will start, will depend on what part he plays in Poland's game on Wednesday, when he get back and if he's been shaken up att all in the 2 internationals.May start will Euell and McG up front with Saga to come on at half time depending on how it's going. We need him most at Watford.I personallythink that we'll p*ss all over Charlton.
