They may be announcing the half-year accounts though. Must be about the right time.

Same wag as believes the "Trust" control 3% of the total share issue probably.
-
And so we will, probably by at least 4 goals, the lads won't let me down, seeing as it'll cost me at least £500 to be there and back at work on Sunday evening.

One thing is guaranteed,we won't stay up on 46 points. Do your predictor again and put in some realistic data this time.:smt017:smt017:smt017

Now I seem to remember(from the above) that McGoldrick came here in the summer of 2004, ie when he was 16. Would he have been able to sign a pro-contract with County at that age? There would be no theoretical entitelment to a fee if he didn't have a contract with them, we may have done "the right thing" by them and given them something (albeit over time) like Arsenal did with us for Walcott. But that we owe them 400K still for a league 2 unknown 16 year old is absolutely laughable, we wouldn't have promised them a quarter of that. Methinks the Notts Co chairman's nose probably got a bit longer after he said that.

Anyway the timing of an eventual entry into administration is virtual immaterial, if we survive we'd get 10 points and go down. If we don't survive we get 10 next season anyway. To me the only way to avoid getting 10 points is not to go into administration, cos we certainly ain't going to get 22 points from the next 7 games.;).

The Run In: All the Games - All the Teams...

Also, if we thump (or merely beat) Charlton we could go to Watford having moved out of the bottom 3 for the first time in yonks, that would be a big mental boost. -
Well only 20 months older anyway. McGoldrick will probably move on this summer, we'll probably get a couple of million for him.May have already got a down payment, who knows, we must be getting money from somewhere and as it is categorically ruled out by the vast majority that the "board" will put anything in......

Probably a bit more than that actually. There's the new BBC deal plus would I be right in thinking that if Reading and Birmingham go straight back up their next seasons Parachute payments are divided amongst the CCC clubs??
-
Don't know, perhaps Longshot will bump into them at the bookies again soon and give us an update.
-
that's because all the best players are concentrated in a handful of clubs nowadays. When watching anything but Liverpool-Man U you get the idea that you're watching second class football.

hextalls, they even have a "sports insolvency" expert, Elizabeth somethingorother.

Didn't help us not lose then. Am I right in thinking we'd have gone down if we had lost?
-
I am sure the 30K plus crowd helped us stay up last season.
-
Only 75%,surely not. My wife watched Sky News yesterday, Vulgaire Connasse was uttered but I couldn't say what about.
-
I fancy us to give Wolves a good whupping, it's the sort of thing we do. Plus they'll be virtually assured of automatic promotion and will take their foot off the pedal.

If you had a maths degree you'd talk of "approaching zero" or "approaching infinity". Marvellous conditions those are, squares become round and parallel lines cross. In math and physic everything is possible at zero and infinity.

True but I had it noted down anyway, cheapskate that I am.The date suits me well and £15 for the ticket sealed the deal. I did notice on Charlton's site that they're charging full price, must be one of those 'home fans only' offers that you're allowed a few times a season.

This Season - Carbon Copy of Wotte's Relegation of Den Bosch
Window Cleaner replied to um pahars's topic in The Saints
For WGS I couldn't say. For Harry telling him to get results from a team without wheeling and dealing and counting the +/- column afterwards is like giving a fish a bicycle. Redknapp knows what he's doing, his results elsewhere prove it, but you've got to give him a free hand , you have to let him wheel and deal freely, that's why he didn't take the job first time round, he saw it wouldn't work out as he likes it to. -
It was the Derby game that cost £5 for extra tickets for ST holders. QPR was full price.I bought a ticket for Charlton the other day , it was £15. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11438

Not sure that Stanley understands Quantum Mechanics, ask him about potted plants and he's your man though.

Probably because neither can attract enough fans on a regular basis (for whatever reason) to support their ambitions. The south coast is no longer football territory, it's garden centre and golf land nowadays. Saints got good crowds in the Prem, but not capacity crowds every week. To pay players who demand 50K/week you need 5000 fans every week just to pay that single player. You need tyo sell 100,000 shirts with his name on them and 3 million saints bog roll holders every week. We don't do that,it's straightforward enough. Match day receipts no longer pay for football teams, look at our accounts for last season and the season before. If we hadn't sold player every season since dinosaurs walked the earth we'd have gone under years ago. Look at mike Ashley, pumped in hundreds of millions and then the fans turned him when he refused Keegan another 200 million to throw down the same drain.Big incentive to invest mega bucks in football because there is no guaranteed return.

Charlton resigned to going down - now playing for pride
Window Cleaner replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Their players will be spending most of their time form now onwards scratching around trying to find a club for next season.Charlton will probably go into administration very soon.Did they still have a parachute payment this season? Must be lamentable management down in SE4 (or is it SE10) -
So if we beat Charlton his record will be better than the much revered Pearson?? from a game less,2 if you're not generous and count Pymouth. Last season so many thought we were sure to go down, we didn't and now we have a coach with a record as good as last season's saviour with probably a less talented side. We need to beat Charlton, the fans need to get behind the team to make sure that happens, I've booked my flight and bought my ticket. To me that game is a gimme but who knows with us.I thought we'd avoid relegation last season, we did, I think we have an excellent chance of avoiding it this season as well, we shall see.
