  1. is that the number Mr Fulthorpe told you to bet on??
  2. I don't think we do trouncing at the moment, any positive result will do though, even a draw.
  3. Doubt it actually. To his "group" and Wilde it probably matters little whether they lose 28p a share or 50p a share. Their money is history anyway so might as well carry on with the plan. Biggest loser is Crouch which ever way you cut it, he paid too high a price and his "cash loss" is now equal to or greater than Wilde's.
  4. Still it would be a pleasant surprise.Might be homesick up in those northern wastes I suppose.
  5. I bet it isn't. Wolves/QPR/Ipswich
  6. Well whatever, the only thing that strikes me is that this guy spends time chewing the cud with people he knows but little at Ladbrokes in stadium counters. I would have thought a guy with any sort of material substance would contact his "turf accountant" by telephone rather than hang about squalid stadium counters.Times must have changed eh.
  7. Apparently we've got to It it to win it-title of the latest piece on the OS. What does that mean exactly? the piece is talking about Lancashire-is he nicknamed It it?
  8. A squeaky bum 1-0 win for us I think.
  9. And quite rightly too, if you let morons, who just love to scream over the phone all day long ,run the business economy you are heading for trouble. I ran into a 'investment banker' on holiday this year-bloke was an utter moron.Couldn't add 10 and 10 without a box of tricks. He was about 40,his wife was about 15,third of the kind apparently.
  10. Made a couple of bob did he?
  11. Now here's where the confusuion comes from. There's John Cousins of Fairfield Homes who's a sort of pioneer in brownfields development and John Cousins of In-Tech who were at one time (and maybe still are) one of Saint's sponsors. Take your pick as far as I'm concerned, I know not one way or t'other.
  12. Nigerians have put in a bid,probably about 34.5p.
  13. That'll be handy, we'll be like Austin-Morris in the 70's. Clock on,p!ss off to the pub, have a few games of darts, come back to clock off.
  14. £8215.51 I think. Banks??? They're too busy saving their pennies to buy sick banks to lend money to punters. The odd share number would suggest someone has cleaned out.Fortunes are being lost on the LSE, it's not the banks that are going to bail people out, not without substantial equity.
  15. Nah, for someone to dump like that it's either because they're in trouble and need whatever they can put their hands on or there's some bad rumours circulating (which we haven't heard yet). Could be the former though. A lot of people are getting very very panicky.
  16. The handcuffs man, pay attention.
  17. My young cousin, who lives in Bradford (or thereabouts), was not as generous as yourself DannyBoy. He told me Bart lost the match single handed.
  18. He's back because he's injured.
  19. Yep I've had a few scary rides with those Northern Girls as well. Pulled a WPC in a club in Preston once, a bit quick with the handcuffs for my liking, not velvet lined either.
  20. It's the 33000 odd trade that seems to have depressed the price. Not a great sign, Only 22p bid, could be a stormy week, certainly no takeover.
  21. I went to Blackpool once, has the most scary fairground ride of all. A big dipper where you're just sat on a wooden horse.Been there, done that for most attraction parks, but that one-not sure that I'd have another stab at it.
  22. Too complicated for me all this betting I'm afraid.
  23. I'd personally feel ill at ease with a "chairman" who bets on his own team's results. Is that ethical-not that he's chaiman of course. Do Rupert and Mike bet on matches?
  24. Not 250/1 then
  25. I think it was only about 3/1 for the win actually.(I looked it up)
