I still don't know who he is.Don't bother to enlighten me though, I'm sure I can get by without knowing. All I know about the other one is that she slagged off Shilpa Shetty, whoever that might be. Still I'm sure they're not at all interested in what I have for lunch or where I take my holidays so I guess we're about even.

How do you come to that conclusion then?? As far as I know we bought him for 1.1 million and sold him for 900K
-
Schadenfreude actually but I know what you mean.
-
He got that right then.

Why can we suddenly afford to play Saga ?

Well we have to pay him anyway so why not play him? other than that I don't understand the question. -
Could this possibly be "The end of a disastrous beginning"

the "plan" that I was referring to was more to do with radical cost slashing than anything else. After that it makes sense to play the players you have to pay anyway. Even though you begrudgingly admit that they're probably better than the academy kids originally proposed for the job. Pity he didn't just cut the crap and try Wotte first, perhaps Wotte refused to play with such a young side knowing it would end in failure, perhaps his hardness and caustic nature was adjudged too abrasive for the youngsters. -
Wayne Thomas plays right back as well doesn't he??

I'd call it highly likely. Total brinksmanship from a bloke who has dedicated his entire existence to being right and having the last word. -

Sacked ??? He needs to be bought out, same as last time round. If,and that's a consequent if, we do stay up his plan will be validated and we can expect a good few years of him yet, unless of course someone buys them all out. This is a watershed season, if we stay up and the clubs accounts are purified then we will be stuck with the bloke. -

It's a pity we can't get the old posts back from TSF, I don't remember Alpine being overly complimentary about Pearson . He certainly was very anti-Burley, in fact probably the anti Burley poster. Is there no way of looking back at TSF?? -
Don't think so. Last 2 at home 2005/6 22400 odd and 26700 odd First 2 at home 2006/7 21000 ish and 24000 ish.

If we win all the rest of our games 361 we wouldn't be too far off the play-offs. Not in them though, just outside. Realistically to stay up we need to win 6 out of our remaining 13, including the last day game against Forest and draw perhaps 3 others. It's still a tall task but by no means impossible. Our fate depends on Norwich and Forest and maybe on Plymouth if their decline carries on much longer.. I see us beating Cardiff next week and maybe moving up one place.Cardiff play today and again on Wednesday, they may well crack due to the umber of games in a short time. If we can get one early like yesterday they won't put up much of a fight.n

But John was kept on for 3 months or so, probably because we couldn't find anyone to take him but he WAS there...played some games, think he started messing us about with international games though and the order of the boot up the backside was accelerated. No doubt Watford would fall over themselves to send Rasiak back to us if there was a loophole, thankfully there isn't.

The maths is fundamentally flawed there Arizona, can you work out why?? Do we play 52 home games per year? is there no VAT? are there no 12.8% employers NHS contributions. When you do the math correctly it comes to just under 1300 extra fans per game. Would we get them ?? maybe, certainly if he was scoring as he is now.

It might happen this very week, might have already happened. Not much though, perhaps 500K each. If we're to survive administration the main men will have to cough up a bit soon.
-
But there IS new money next season. TV money will bring in an extra 3.5 million per year. If we should get another 1K on every home crowd and get Rasiak,John and BWP off the pay roll permanently we wouldn't be looking too bad. Might get a right back and let James move forward into midfield. I think we should sell Lallana for whatever we can get if that's what it takes to get a right back. Doubt if Euell will take a lower wage deal so we might have to find a replacement for him as well.

dunno, seems he's failed a lot more often than he's succeeded.

But it would have made the protest more seemly if it had been the "old uns" splattered all over the Echo that's all.The protest organisers are probably not using the media to their best advantage.
-
Thanks for the pics, most of these supporters do look very young though. I think it would have been fairly advantageous to the protesters cause (which I'm not against) if they'd have had a few older generation fans in the mass. All those kids will mean nothing to Lowe, a few earners in the 30K/40K a year bracket would have meant far more to him.

Homour wrote the Iliad, imposed upon generation after generation of unsuspecting third formers.Who struggled valiantly with all the interbreeding, fratricide, patricide and genocide of the Greco-Trojan wars.
-
do we actually have any local cash rich fans though. We have some who should fit into that category but like the cat in the adage I dare not waits upon I would.
-
Same as most football fans, a win usually does the trick.

Why are we still talking about the history that was Pearson; He kept us up, I'm told that he was too expensive for us to keep.Whether that's true or not I just couldn't say, I guess it might well be because I respect the person that told me. Wotte has now won a game to go with the what ,2 draws and 2 defeats to date. we'll have to see how it goes on from there. If we can win again next week we may well be on our way. provided that administration isn't the inevitability that some seem to think it is.

are there any anywhere?

Miles offside apparently, still what a pity, never mind.
