I don't think he did, could be wrong, thought we lost to Stoke in there somewhere.
-
We have some players who can play if they want to. I'd take our chances of staying up above Forest's actually, provided we win today. If we win today we'll win next week as well.
-
A goal in the first 20 minutes then, that's more like it. When did we last do that?
-
We'll lose if we don't score soon.
-
as many as that; wow.500 schoolkids on holiday then, seeing as it was 1000 last time.
-
Wouldn't have made much difference this season, last season perhaps he might have got something out of the prima-donnas, yes. This season it doesn't matter who we getto manage the side, if they've got to rely on Lallana and Gillett, it's an impossible job.Sooner or later one of those two will f*k up and we'll concede goals. Idem James.
-
Swansea are beginning to falter then.
-
Here we go again.
-
He probably is but if the players aren't up to it he can't do much with them. I mean they might be well disciplined crap but still crap. That's why good players cost 10 million £ and upwards and you get garbage free of charge.
-
What with Gillett and Lallana in midfield? get out of here.
-
A manager can only do so much.If the players are crap he won't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
-
Correct, awful midfield.

Few players from academies actually make the big time at all these days. No matter how well your academy is run you can always find a 15 year old street urchin from Caracas (or wherever) who is infinitely better than the lads you've been grooming for years on end. That's why blokes like Chris Eagles are playing for Burnley and Man U have Tevez and Ronaldo up front.
-
I suspect the Academy will be one of the first things the administrators shut down, the building will be put up for sale, that and the megastore. Then they'll sell off Jackson's Farm the second Bovis's option runs out. These things are obviously a drain on our finances (well not JF but it's a saleable asset for some money, not much but some anyway) and they'll be deemed as surplus to requirement. The store at the ground will probably carry on as well as online sales. If you look at our staff numbers compared to a comparable club you'll see that we've nearly double the number. The administrators will act very quickly on that.
-
But if we won tomorrow and Forest lost then we would be 3 points behind them and have a game in hand.Similarly Norwich except that we'd be closer.A couple of good results for any of the bottom 6 sides would change the table radically. In fact I think that tomorrows results might well affect the board's discussions on Tuesday.I mean if we've managed to close up the gap a bit (big if true) then I don't see them gifting survival to one of the other badly placed sides. there's a lot of new money on stream next season and knowing our board I don't see them gifting it to Forest,Plymouth,Watford or Norwich just yet.

I think the supporters have shown their true nature to any prospective investor. If they don't think they like what they see they don't go to matches AND try to persuade others not to go either. Our true "core" support has been revealed, about 14K or so. I mean we beat Birmingham at home in the LC, then Derby away and 14K odd turned up for the next home match, because it was on TV.

who wants us to go into admin and/or wotte to fail
Window Cleaner replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
They started off with some better results but of late their form is awful, probably nearly as bad as ours. One point out of 4 league games and Davies is starting to whinge about the lack of experience in his "small" squad. -
Aren't there some half price kit deals online just now? I bought a grey, sorry flint, shirt at 50% off just the other day.
-
i would have thought that whilst we were manufacturing our own kit we could afford to pile it high and sell it cheap. Doubt if we have the same margins with Umbro. I wonder just how much that move has cost the club.Perhaps the home made kit was crap but I bet we made money on it.

Options for Saturday's team/formation
Window Cleaner replied to ExSt Peter Saint's topic in The Saints
Because they aren't complying with some Football League rule or other regarding recruitment whilst in Administration. Admin is ******, don't know why so many are in such a hurry to get there. -
If it's the Fulthorpe "consortium" that we're relying on to oust Lowe,or prevent him taking it on after administration, then woe betide us.
-
Like ourselves and Watford, Charlton failed to cut costs quickly enough. They believed they would get promotion and went all out for it. The abyss between the Premiership and the CCC (even with parachute payments) means that you have just one real chance to get back up. After that you've got to throttle back hard and shift everyone that earns more than the average sum for the division.

I was looking forward to tomorrow

And stand there shouting "Green side up" and "You don't know what you're doing" -
we will win if we score first and in the first 20 minutes. If not, defeat beckons again.
-
we'll probably get one in both divisions. Most clubs do.
