This Trust idea about the council buying SMS
Window Cleaner replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
The club has been making wrong decisions for the last 10 years at least. I'd put the first one down as letting Souness walk away and Lawrie following him. Might even have been sacking Chris Nicholl though. All those wrong decisions, compared to very few right ones, have had a nocive effect on the club. Comedy of Errors about sums it up. -

Trouble is that some of their proposals demonstrate their tenous grasp on reality and have a negative effect on their credibility. -
Flowertown was always quite respectable before, has it gone downhill then.

18p a share, surely now the time is right!!
Window Cleaner replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
The only share sales which will be significant are ones that cover 500K or more shares. The rest is just some minor shareholder panicking and selling up. I would take a guess and say all the shares currently being sold come from on of 2 sources. The rest left to Singh or those bought for a kings ransom by Unicol Engineering for whatever purpose. -

But what do all these shot/goal statistics really say? They say that we're crap in front of goal, but then anyone with a pair of eyes and a neurone could tell you that.We can't put the ball into the net,it's not luck it's some sort of spell cast on us.You have to go back to Blackpool and Watford at home to see it. We should have scored 5 against Blackpool and any side that misses 2 penalties at home in the same game needs to get a sorcerer onto the job to find out why.Whilst not wishing to defend Lowe,Wilde,Wotte or JP ,it's not them that can't put the ball into an open goal from 6 yards is it.The team works, it creates chances but doesn't convert them no matter who plays in it. As we are poor defensively if we don't score the others eventually will. There have been chances that anyone of us could have stuck between the posts and probably have done so in minor league football. That highly paid players don't defies comprehension.

Still sounds a lot to me. Using my usual "bums on seat to pay for it" principle we need (if the rates were 2.5 million/year) over 11K supporters at every home game to pay the rates and the stadium repayments. So if we were to descend to League 1 and only get say 12K on average we'd have nothing at all for a team from gate revenues. Boy as I've said before is this stadium lark a millstone. We should have stayed at the Dell,or waited until we could build some sort of multi-purpose complex to spread the cost over things other than football.Still hindsight is a rare gift.. -

Thought not. How much is it exactly (or roughly)? -

2.5 million eh, takes 6000 fans per home game just to pay the rates?? sounds a bit steep really. When would that bill be due then? -

Ah sorry, forgot to mention government **** up as the 4th one. -
Did I bump into you at a fancy dress do then?

Having said that haven't Adams just been bought out of administration by the same bloke who bought them out of administration a year or so ago ?. Whoever guarantees the best deal for the creditors and promises to keep the most jobs is the winner, be it Genghis Khan or Mother Theresa.

Well apparently it isn't as straightforward as all that. There are some other potential 'dads' as well; Must have been the village bike. In my day lots of lads ****ged lots of girls at 15/16/17, strange no-one ever knocked anyone up though.I suppose at 16 I must have sex about once every 2 weeks throughout the year ,same as the majority of my classmates. Not 1 girl got knocked up though.Mind you the condoms must have been about a foot thick back in those days. And the "pills" were strong stuff (with side effects, usually bigger and bigger tits).

But 1976C the country has been fuelled by debt for the last 15 years. The "green shoots of recovery" were fuelled by debt. No self respecting Briton can let himself be less well off than his neighbour. I mean I know this, my brother lives in a council house,he pays f*ck all rent, although he works very hard. His Mrs is a lazy slag, worked 2 days in 30 odd years, although he doesn't own the place he has built a conservatory,a swimming pool, a greenhouse etc etc, but his neighbour, who is on benefits has done exactly the same, paid for by benefits and rent arrears.Until the nation links debt to how much people can actually afford to pay greedy banks will fail. I live in rural France, 2 miles down the road there is a "holiday village". They get Dutch,Germans,Belgians and English there. The English always have the biggest cars, the flashest camper vans and the most kids. They also get the most ****ed the most time per week and get the highest number of visits to the local nick for drug offences. The UK is decadent because no-one wants to accept that they are poor and less well off than anyone else. The fact that it's governed by a moron is incidental.

Can we use season ticket renewals to oust Lowe?
Window Cleaner replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
i think though that 5/7 K supporters will renew under most circumstances. Saints are like smoking and drugs, you know it's nocive but you can't give it up that easily. Those 5/7K will provide the funds to carry on (probably in L1) next season with a very mediocre team and a player/coach salary budget of around 3 million for the year. There will be no Saga,Surman,Morgan,Euell,Skacel,Davies,Lallana or McGoldrick (silver lining eh) and we will be just as awful as this season but we may find someone who can actually score and do quite well. -

Anyway you should never accept a post dated cheque because if the drawer snuffs it or goes bankrupt it becomes obsolete. Only currently dated cheques with an agreement not to present them until a certain date are good practice if you want to be kind to someone. -
Trouble is we forgot to put it into the van when we moved from the Dell to our Estate pub replica, shiny-new, 32000 all seater stadium. Our problem is St Mary's Stadium( and Lowe and all that of course) It is devoid of atmosphere when it is less than 70 full. How many games have we won there in the 7/8 years that we've been there?

Sounds like the same problem as the entire economy then. Smash up, knock up, shoot up, the 3 horsemen of the apocalypse. -
Coke is good, not a fan myself but it is very mineral rich plus sugars plus caffeine (which some say stimulates glucolyse, that's why until recent times it was banned in high doses in some sports). Anyway Burn (made by CocaCola) is just very concentrated flat Coke, maybe a bit of Guarana in there as well, same as Dark Dog.
-
You knock out the bubbles by leaving it open or in the glass/beaker. Ask Jimmy Connors, he knocked back flat coke during games throughout his career, still managed to turn in some decent games at 40.

But it's an all purpose affair with about 16K places which DR have to share with the Rugby,Athletics etc etc etc. It isn't suited for Premier League football because of it's small capacity. The Dell was good enough for that standard. -

Evidently, it sounds like another half-baked (if that) Trust scheme to get cheap football with other people's money. That's the problem with them (the trust) they want everything and don't have 2 halfpennies to rub together to fund their schemes. If they had people with real money in their midst then they'd be a serious organisation.
