  1. Rudi was probably getting a bit of practice for the take away pizza stall tonight.
  2. Good players do not necessarily make good coaches.
  3. which means that Plymouth are losing. Bad side Plymouth
  4. We're going to hit them on the break very soon....maybe...
  5. I see Wolves are already 1 down, beginning to get into their annual dying swan routine big time. Perhaps Mr Morgan will give up and buy us then.
  6. Well then you are wrong. Is Patterson better than McGoldrick? No he isn't. BWP neither so this is our best possible side. McGoldrick is our leading goalscorer so illicio he is the best we have if Saga is already playing.
  7. In fact that's probably our best possible side, well if you don't rate Lallana or Gillett(like me) it is.
  8. As far as I know neither Crouch nor Wilde have ever paid players from their own resources. It is an urban myth dispelled by Hone or Dulieu some time back.Idem the "cheque" given to the club by Crouch. We were under "bid condition" and it could not be cashed.
  9. Anyway it says why in the Echo, downturn in oil and gas industry. So they give 50 out of 180 (or so) the shove. It's no big deal really, we're in a global recession, people who had jobs yesterday won't necessarily have them tomorrow.Oil is changing hands at under 40$ a barril, that's hitting oil companies and sheiks and stuff hard. they're not charities, if they're virtually giving the stuff away they're not going to buy equipment other than in case of dire necessity.
  10. What extra games ? I doubt if the "ticket manager" is even consulted on the matter to be honest. This is about revenue not bits of paper. The financial director will have outlined the revenue needs in either case, relegation/status quo. The commercial (David Luker head of supporters services) department will have had it's ear to the ground , they'll make projections on possible ST numbers but at the end of the day the board will decide on pricing.
  11. It's not in the loft, it's in the roof, there is a subtle difference. Probably wedged into a gap where 2 tiles fell off in last month's tempest
  12. Her probably won't even play a full game against us, he's always injured anyway.
  13. Still as he made 2 million and change last year he could give some back to prop up Lymington Precision couldn't he?. I mean that's always the logic behind your Lowian arguments isn't it. Personally I don't give a ****. LP was bought out by it's management some time ago, how Crouch came out of that being both seller and buyer I have never understood. Good luck to the man , Wellworthy has always been a good little company.
  14. Jeez them jocks are creeping in everywhere. I was watching Sky News last evening, about the banks and the parliamentary commission and all that. Jocks every one of them, it's our (well your) money and they're letting jocks manage it. I shall return to the UK for the next election and cast my vote for the United Non-Jock Looney party. Bring back Lizzy 1, at least she knew what to do with jocks.
  15. It depends just how much money we make out of it. Perhaps it's less than we might imagine. The 2006/7 administration didn't bother either. Now if Claus would like to pay for reseeding the pitch again, that would be handy Perhaps with the recession they're afraid of making a loss, other than that perhaps there are no big draw bands available.I think the Rose Bowl have muscled in on that scene now as well..
  16. Yes but 80% of the 33% that want administration either have a collective IQ of about 12 or they're 10 years old and don't understand what it means. Some, and I'm sure of this, think that we will get docked 10 points, get all of our debts wiped out and start from square 1 exactly as we are but in League 1 come next August. Sorry kids doesn't work that way.The stadium debt won't go away. You think we have a shïte team this season wait until you see the all new post administration version. Leeds have never recovered from administration, and they get 25K+ crowds week in week out. With our 14K hard core we'll be down there scrapping with Yeovil and Brighton. I would prefer the club put up a barometer, you know like the chuch roof ones, saying we need xxxxx£ by Monday after next and see what people are prepared to give and under what conditions.
  17. I'm all over it, I'll give Jez Moxley a call...if I can find my phone in the neighbours garden shed.
  18. He wanted to go to tax free, easy life Monaco. As he is not a French National he had the right to be a "resident" ie for tax purposes. French nationals don't have this right. They can live there if they want but not as a tax haven. Our national crooner Johnny Halliday (who ?) tried to become a Belgian citizen a while back so that he could be taxed in Monaco, didn't work. He used us;Metz didn't care who they got money from.
  19. I am sure that she will be chuffed that a one man think tank such as yourself has mused on her potential candidature and given it the green light. We will never see 2 million £ from Crouch, why didn't he give it to us last season when we needed money and he had his hands on the controls No Lowe, no Execs,No Wilde, just him,Hoos, Jones, Trant etc etc. They were in control ,did he stump up 2 million and get us Billy Davies or Coleman or .....? no he cheapskated and got us Gorman and Dodd..for the foreseeable future, only because they were absolute toss did McMenemy get us Pearson.. Crouch was in charge, he had his chance, he probably didn't see Wilde and Lowe ganging up on him so he just chilled on the 2 million quid front.
  20. Neither do I, but there seems to be some magnetism that leads Wotte to pick him. It's clear to all that we need more steel in midfield and Morgan doesn't seem to be fully fit. There is something strange about Morgan's transfer, perhaps we owe Strasbourg more money if he plays more games soon but perhaps Arsenal lent us the money for him or something and don't want him damaged. Just can't understand the "recovering from involvement with his country" bit. It was a 2 day shakedown with a kick about against PSG reserves on the 2nd day. He played 45 minutes but it wasn't very disputed. He didn't look bad apparently and seemed to have no particular problems. He wasn't retained in the U21 squad for Tuesday's friendly in Tunisia though.
  21. It wouldn't have made one iota of difference, he is an ex player who has had a questionable lifestyle from time to time. He has no influence over the current club. He would be seen as a sour grapes ex pro, that's why he clamped his trap. It's been tried before by various players from various clubs, just made them enemies they didn't have before. I believe Sir Bobby Charlton went down that road a long long time ago.
  22. What is there not to share Stanley. Crouch and Wilde will lose lots of money. We are fairly sure that Wilde's came from Merlion funds rather than his own pocket but Crouch? It's his money,he was foolish,he's going to get shafted. Self made men hate just 2 things, daddy's boys and losing their money.
  23. Well sort of opinion based on common sense really. If a board knew that they were very very close to administration, selling tickets for next season would be considered rash and foolish. Not the sort of behaviour that you'd want to tote about when you were planning on taking the said company out of said administration as the offer most likely to succeed.Because said monies would go to old creditors plus new creditors having bought STs. Shooting any new outfit in the ass. I mean there can be no new factors that would force us into admin from here to the end of the season, any factors exist already. They can't be counting on massive ST sales anyway so to me it just strikes as a certain logic.
