  1. You're probably missing some Friends repeats as well. Must be on a channel near you.
  2. I am an awful typist, I may miss out letters, or put in ones which do not belong but those that should be there are, usually, in the right order albeit infested by a few that shouldn't be or should be but aren't if you catch my drift.. In my day educated men did not type, they dictated or wrote in longhand. I guess I never got on the space age bandwagon on that one. Do not forget, one of the Apollo missions failed to take off because there was a comma missing in the program controlling(cobol or fortran I suppose) the launch sequence.I probably went to school with that guy.
  3. And did you get to play for the Saints?? I mean not the A's, the real thing (well at least the reserves)
  4. I was thinking about the Euell situation whilst driving home from work this afternoon. When he got sent of it probably cost us about 50K (or more's) worth of useless idleness. That's between 2 and 3 months pay for a CCC standard player. One rash tackle and bye bye 50K into the pocket of an idle waster.
  5. Not to mention Okehampton and Boghampton. Ex Liverpool fan apparently, strange that, rich Liverpool fans always buy other clubs and become lifelong supporters. Same sort of thing about rich mexicans, they become spaniards.
  6. Having seen from casual observation of this forum and it's predecessor that such tidbits are always swallowed hook, line and sinker.
  7. I don't care either way, as long as we start next season free of leeches like Euell,Thomas and Skacel it'll be OK with me.
  8. Definitely, definitely, definitely. Nick I wouldn't have thought you'd fall into the old definitely trap. God how that irks me that intelligent people can't spell that particular word. The rest I don't care about but it's pronouced definitely and can't even be the victim of transatlantic phonetic spelling.
  9. £1, someone just told you that. He undertook to invest 30 million over a lengthy period of time. Which hasn't ended yet.
  10. No it was explained to us last Summer by ones of superior knowledge. That nigh on everybody chose to ignore the fact and carry on thinking whatever suited their personal agenda is nor here nor there. JF was discussed on this (or the other) forum last summer and this fact was made known to us, by who?I can't remember.
  11. 26: seems like a good number.
  12. Has not the "eco-tax", popular in mainline EU countries, reached the UK yet then. New tyres are taxed to recycle old ones, electronic gadgetry is taxed to recycle last year's model which is now a dinosaur and worth f**k all. You buy new light bulb, there's a tax to recycle the old one that you're going to throw in the dustbin even though you know you shouldn't do that. You chuck a battery in the trash in Germany, a couple of months later some inspector is going to come round and bite your ass over it. I've heard that there's a town in Germany that even tracks dog shît.DNA tests are mandatory on all dogs and they analyse the crap on the pavement.
  13. Nope, as per usual in that sort of calculation you've forgotten to take out the VAT. If the £300 includes VAT you'd need 7843 tickets to make up the £2 million.
  14. Meaning we have the most debt or the least revenue? If it's the latter I don't think it's the case.
  15. Lack of money IS the reason and the only reason. Other clubs may be just as poor as us granted but their meagre wealth is evenly distributed over the mass of the core player's salaries; ie Swansea. Our problem is that even if,with our home gates averaging 15/16K,we are turning a buck at the gate(or in STs) that mass is not available to pay players on a homogeneous basis because before you can start paying players to play you have to pay the dead wood that hangs about in the treatment room or aren't playing up to the ability they used to have.We have high earners either not playing or playing badly and sporadically. That's not the managements fault or the coach's.It's because they are fallen stars who rob us of the wherewithal to pay players of CCC standard.Don't give me guff about the management having ****ed them off, they've all been given chances and have not produced on a regular basis. I think the true salary range for a solid CCC player is around 4-5K/wk. Anyone paid more than that who is not performing, not scoring or not saving our arse on a weekly basis is stopping us recruiting players who will.
  16. Still it wouldn't do any harm for him to give her the push to see if it changes anything.;);)
  17. Except for the people who've probably lost a packet of money on them. Take those 30K sells at 17p. It's very likely that those(that) investor paid 35/40p for them. 6.9K£ lost on an investment at least twice that size. Makes no sense to me but there must be a reason for it.
  18. I think that was a shorter term loan though. I think over 93 days the deal is binding under most circumstances.
  19. Well it depends on the loan agreement doesn't it. Swansea seem convinced that Dyer going back to Saints before June isn't an actuality so they probably know best.
  20. Before, just before probably, from about 80 minutes onwards it sounded as if we were all over them.
  21. Yep, I thought we sounded (Radio Sheffield) as if we were doing everything but score.I thought that there was probably a reason why Sheffield United have only conceded 24 (or so) goals in 31 games. They've got a bloody good defence. Still shouldn't have lost in injury time all the same.Bromby kicked off the line,BWP shot inches wides, Kenny made a great save from Euell. I never gave a thought that all that was Wotte's fault though, just that we went for the win and got shafted. Silly me.
  22. Our "overheads" are the players. The stadium repayments are generated by 23 home gates of 5500 fans at £18 per ticket. Last seasons player and coach wage bill needed 23 home gates of 28K to break even. That's been slashed to about half now,if we were to descend to League 1 it would be cut by another 35% or so.Euell,Saga,Thomas,Davies would be out of the door like a shot. It's realisable and the management certainly have a contingency plan in place.
  23. I think seasion tickets might be offered at bargain prices for early renewals this year. Reckon they could go down to as little as 320£.
  24. Hmmm, my understanding of Rule 9.5 is flawed then. Not surprising I'm a physicist not a banker.
  25. From whom ?? 10 million shares that would be. That would give him a 45% (or so) holding and under those circumstances he'd have to bid for the rest at 65p (I think) He's snookered like that, everybody knows it. He was rash and brash and now he's f*cked.
