Wotte is the new version of Pearson...
Window Cleaner replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I'm not sure that that's quite right actually. Because of the make up of the matches I'm pretty sure that 5 more wins would do it even mathematically. To work that out you'd have to make a probability work sheet and plot all the possible results between teams on say 40 or less points now. like this weekend, if Blackpool win then Norwich can't so one of them can't move up, if they draw it helps neither of them particularly.Next Tuesday it's Watford and Forest and then on Saturday Norwich and Plymouth and Blackpool and Barnsley. -
14.15p seems to be the going rate
-
I think I shall try to get my hands on some more shares though. I honestly think it's worth a punt now.

I couldn't say really,I'm not ITK on our current financial status. Just on what could happen next year if we stay in the Championship. It would seem to me that getting people into the Stadium to make noise and get behind the team is priming on making money just now. Apart from the QPR game that is. May be policing problems stopping us boosting the crowd there though.

Well if you can get a ST holder to buy it for you it's a fiver. STs holders can buy extra tickets for £5 no limit apparently

How much we reduce our overdraft this season is of little importance as long as we don't increase it. What is important is CCC survival and our share of the new revenue stream next season. We'll be able to keep Barclay's(and anyone else) at bay with that because it is guaranteed money.3 mill plus is a big line in any accounting projection.

But that it is not the end of the world, whereas beating Derby is of prime importance.
-
Although the law of probability would suggest that we must win(or not lose) one Sky game sometime soon.
-
Although you forgot to add "and totally f*cked for money"

Quite right. Blackpool is now the key to the relegation mini-league. I think that they have to play 6 other relegation threatened sides in their last 10 games. So either they deny the others points and save themselves or get beaten and go down. Whatever happens in those matches will be good for us, provided we beat them (or even draw) and keep getting decent results and by that I mean 3 points every 2 games minimum although I'm not foolish enough to believe that we'll get better than that.15 points from our 11 games will probably see us OK.

Yes but managing a virtual youth side for not much money and getting all the hassle if (you could say when) it doesn't work out as planned is not everyone's ideal career move. some people believe that if you're going to take responsibility for something then the punishment should fit the crime so to speak. Wotte was up for the Saint's job once before, now if he was offered less money this time than he might have got that time (still with me??) he might see it as a no go. He might just have been content to let Jan take all the early flack and just step up and polish the end result a bit.

jugular. but a point would be a great result all the same.

No he isn't ,Wotte knows that winning matches is what's required not getting draws. If we'd gone for the draw against Sheffield Utd we'd have probably have got it. Wotte 11 points from 7 games Pearson (not counting Plymouth) 16 points from 14 games. Mind you we weren't as low down when Pearson started, a few draws saw us slide away. Pearson did OK, but with his record against Wotte's we'd be virtually relegated by now. -
Oooh I expect he wanted the job but not for the money on offer.
-
What might have been if he'd come here in 2005 instead of Burley? When we had money and all that.
-
Don't understand that. In all the relegation battles we've had in the last 20 or so years how many times have the lads let us down?? yup, just the once. In a relegation battle saints are nailed on favourites to escape because of our form in the matter.
-
And not before time
-
Total football from Euell then.
-
Come on lads, make it 2 before half-time.
-
Surman looks to be having a great game;:Perhaps he's done what Wotte said and shipped the Missus and Kid off to Siberia or something.
-
Great....
