  1. We'll see how many more they get now that they're sliding back into the relegation zone. The first deadline was up until 28/2.Dirt cheap as well, plus there's nothing else to do in winter in Norfolk.
  2. And how exactly did Norwich get 17 or more points then??
  3. Perhaps gjphilsaint thought that Peter Gabriel was referring to our dilemna in those lyrics.Although I would have thought "Don't give up" is more suited but there you go.
  4. Doris, now there's a word from the past.Didn't know it was still in use in the SO postcode.I had a succession of dorises, new doris, old doris, slaggy doris, top rank doris....
  5. Well I may be in a particularly concilliatory mood today. I don't think I've slagged anyone off,not even Crouch.
  6. I would concede that Size and Saga have made a great difference, scoring at one end and stopping the rot at the other.I think also that Wotte may be a better man manager that Jan, perhaps he even manages Rupert better. Whether we could afford Saga without the loan fee (I presume we got one) on top of his salary I couldn't say;I do regret though that it was he that was first to go instead of John who I do not rate very much although he scored some vital goals for us last season.I think the failure of the Svensson experiment left us in a bad way and that the coming of Saejis has corrected that for the time being.
  7. You know very well Um that I am just a fan of the team, all the rest goes right over my head. I support the team as I have done for nigh on 50 years,as for the rest I have no particular opinion other than that drastic cost cutting was vitally necessary, come what may.
  8. I think Um ,that the only real change is that we have strikers who actually strike. When you can't score you get jittery and things usually go badly for you. Score early (as we have done recently) and football becomes a different game. It's harder to score when you're chasing the game.We should have won matches that we lost under Jan Poortvliet solely for the reason that we didn't do what is essential in football, stick the ball in the back of the net as soon as possible.
  9. Strange concept really, how can our attitude to the relegation battle not be conditioned by the last 3 results?. Because of them there is a relegation battle and not a fading away to League 1 as expected by most.
  10. Blackpool-Norwich on Saturday. A draw there would further our cause whatever we do, other than that a Norwich win with a lot of red cards and a few season ending injuries.

  12. Not a patch on Cillit Bang
  13. But it is a handicap race. NP needed 16 points from 13 games (if you don't count Plymouth) and MW needs 23 points from 18 games. The finishing post is still in the same place but NP was a 5 furlong sprint and MW is more of a classic distance.
  14. Hmm can't be right ,we ****sed it and finished mid-table.Back to the drawing board then
  15. Make sure it's not past the use by date then.
  16. Perhaps the club should have a £3 million quid punt on it then. If we stay up we get the extra TV money and if we don't we get 3.3 million from the bookies. Sounds like a win/win situation to me:smt115:smt115:smt115
  17. I think he's referring to administration actually.
  18. For any side currently on 40 points or less getting to 55 is a big ask actually. If we were to do it we'd have to beat Blackpool,Forest and Watford thus making it far harder for them to do it. I can't see either ourselves,Norwich,Barnsley or Blackpool getting 55 points and I'd be pretty sceptical about Plymouth and Forest as well.
  19. I'm one of the more optimistic posters actually. But I don't see us getting anything at Birmingham. I am of course always willing to be pleasantly surprised though.I don't see it as a must to get any points there though. We don't need to come out of a game of trench warfare there at all cost. Beating Derby is far more important.
  20. looks like I'm not the only one who thinks that a £200 punt at 14p might be in order then.
  21. has he actually still got any money now?
  22. McG is 21 I think, 29-11-87.
  23. NP was nothing out of the ordinary although he did keep us up on the last day. His side drew an awful lot of matches 7 of 13, lost 3 and won 3 So in fact he got 16 points from 13 games if you don't count Plymouth.
  24. Surely Lloyd James,Morgan S and DMcG are all 21 or under, Morgan being the youngest at 19.
