  1. What's juicy about it then?? Probably less the Lawrie Mac's "expenses".
  2. Well that's what it says on the NI-DL interview.
  3. i was skimming through the Trust site the other day.In an interview with Chairman Nick, Luker seems to intimate that the break even crowd figure is 17K. So we're not all that far off and certainly nowhere near the 200K a month loss on ticket sales alone which was quoted yesterday. I don't know if the contents of that interview have found their way onto this forum but Policing Costs are much higher when the corners are open and when the gates are higher. I suppose it would be impossible to have the exact figure for policing costs for say 15K, 20K and 25K??. I know they take a big whack per copper but have no real idea on the exact amount.
  4. Probably in the right zone, Watford have sold all their tickets (no idea how many they had though) and are saying that their fans can pay on the day now. Away numbers are important, can lead to a variation of 2000 or so I suppose. Our core support must be about 14000, if they bring 2K, 16 seems about right.
  5. Yep well if there was a sudden flash of betting in Asia and a bit of a silly incident straight after, it looks a bit dodgy. Perhaps those Asians have really built a machine like the one in Paycheck. Seems to be a commonly recurring theme in films just now,Paycheck looking forward,Déjà Vu looking back.Still, prefer going thirty years forward in time in a DeLorean and bringing back a sports almanac myself.
  6. Usually I'd agree with you, but the man who put this rumour into the public domain this time was non other than the chairman of the Saints Trust. True it's a piddly sort of clique but all the same...If the Archbishop of Canterbury says he believes in God then it's just in the line of business, if he says he doesn't, then he's probably a reason for saying that. Nick is a status quo or trust ownership wallah, if he says there's a takeover then he must have had a reason for it. I mean he looks like a complete idiot now.
  7. Anyway what happened to our "takeover" yesterday. I mean it's one thing when yer average tommac or LLS says we're being taken over tomorrow, another thing when Chairman Nick says it. I think Nick should spill the beans, give us his source and reasoning behind his rash declarations. Who knows people might have rushed out on Tuesday and bought tickets and merchandise on the strength of it.:smt084:smt084:smt084:smt084 Not to mention the idiot who punted 10K on our shares on Monday at over the odds.
  8. This is of course true, we'd rather have Dutch or even German, unfortunately they're not into borrowing money to go on holiday every 30 seconds ,so we get ....brits, no riff raff allowed though.
  9. Monday then !!!
  10. Watford have a lot of injuries. 2-0 for saints
  11. Yes, obviously so. There are rules which aren't overly enforced (according to Phil) but every now and again they have to have a little crack down to please the mullahs. Saw it myself in Kuwait many moons ago, business as usual then wham, some silly bint falls off a balcony at a doctor's partouze and no more fun for 2 years or so.Loads of people nicked for stupid little infringements.
  12. No doubt because the revolutionaries didn't respect the national anthem.
  13. Yes but if they start chucking people in the brig for a bit of nooky on the beach the tourism will soon be drying up anyway. That's the problem of many of these little islamic states, they want tourists but tourists don't understand the sharia and why should they, they're on holiday.I'm in tourism (in a way) if you start trying to impose conditions on the clientèle they don't come back.
  14. The poor dears, stock prices crashing, oil down to 73 $ a barrel, never mind Gordon Brown and George Bush will probably bail them out and they'll be buying everything in sight again within a month. Perhaps if the crude oil prices hadn't been pumped up to breaking point in the first place.....=;=;
  15. As long as it's not Olympic Torch.:smt117
  16. But yes, it's been ages since we had one.
  17. The only real bridge between woolston and town.
  18. He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.
  19. To inflict what is seemingly so much pain with so few questions? must be a closet Pompey fan then.:mad::mad:
  20. beginning to sound like Mr Chorley there don'tcha think??
  21. A student with a book of any kind???'bout 300,000/1 or so I should think.
  22. Average being the operative word BTF, that's why I put it there. I once took my then fiancée to the Dell, firstly no Milton, then the ignominy of the tea flask (and the grapes),then the "which one is Channon",what are they doing nows etc.Her saints watching career was sealed by a "I thought you said they were good".
  23. The moral to this tale Phil is don't hang about with tarts who don't understand football.Or if you must ,then don't watch football with them. Football is not compatible with the average female.
  24. I thought LBW was an alternate title for the NotW. Loadsa B***** Weekly.
  25. Unless of course BWP is looking in.;-)
