perhaps he didn't want to stay, he was out of contract so who knows.
-
But after the WC (should England go far) there will be little time left, players will want vacations, probably far from our shores. Transactions during the WC will not be allowed by the FA so it's tomorrow or start of August, player probably wants it settled as well so the Mme can get some housing and schools sorted out while the old man's at the WC.
-
Have you not read all the interviews Minty, the players were clear, keep Mauricio, sign a few top class players to take us forward. Mauricio is gone, so are they. I said at the time of the Schneiderlin echo interview that it was dynamite and extremely unusual for a player to say such things, no-one believed me, the interview was never picked up on the OS, probably unsanctioned. It was the shape of things to come, now we're seeing the consequences of Mauricio not being retained at any price, which is what Krueger said we'd do I believe.
-
depends if it's before 1st july.
-
told you so, it's just a gabfest. You all gobbed the bring back Matty, free parking etc etc etc too easily, as long as you hear what you want everything is rosy. I think you've all been played.
-
but that's not proof is it, it's supposition.
-
When did he undermine the club..got any proof ?
-
perhaps he ran the sale of Lambert by the entire managerial short list yesterday whilst he was at Burton, I mean they were probably all there watching our U19s dominate world football. Look we've got Gallagher he's fantastic OK to sell Lambert, yeah Ralph whatever, we can get someone in the draft, probably have to trade up in the 4th round though, offer Pompey a couple of next year's draft picks and ten quid.
-
probably waiting until the fire sale is over, club will be worth far less. Can't see him coming back myself, honestly he's gone for good. Doesn't do the current outfit any harm to have crap heaped on Cortese at every time that they do something unpopular with the fans, letting him be blamed for events largely outside his control suits them well.
-
doesn't stop there, Morgan is as good as gone, he's been very diplomatic about it for sure but he'll put in a written request this summer.
-
there'd be add-ons.
-
we have nothing but waffle and contradictory bullsh*t from the club since the 15th January. What happened to the CEO we held interviews for, oh yes died a death and got a beancounter on the job, what happened to one in one out, oh yes 2 out...
-
Well I hope he's been cut out of your will then, mother's influence i suppose..
-
So no change from last night then, hard to believe, unless of course the add ons bring us another 3 or 4 million for scoring at least one goal in the WC.
-
What like the 100 million or so of this year's revenues, what's happening to that? This lady is supposed (and supposed is all that it ever has been) to be a multi billionaire. Her aunts, uncles and cousins may well be but that's no proof whatsoever.
-
But it's Krueger, has what he says any substantial value ? Really, depends if we sell Lambert tomorrow I guess. Then I'd suspect he'll argue that the transfer won't take effect until the 1st July and thus not before the WC.
-
Saints have no choice in the matter, the entire squad is at the disposition of the team manager.
-
has Koeman ever managed outside of the Dutch league. It really isn't a recommendation, De Ridder was a star in the Eredivisie. As yes Benfica, pushed out of the door after 1 season, and sacked at Valencia after less than one season. Not my favourite candidate for the job really. Why can't we go after Rosler.
-
Well if there's any substance in that then it looks like we played really hard-ball, controlled the situation down to the last detail and consulted the incoming manager about it. If he signs for them before the WC then I think we can discount anything that Krueger says as highly debatable, as some of us have warned you all on the odd occasion..
-
What he said, Reed did indeed say that the first team did not come under his jurisdiction, neither was he director of football. At one time in the fairly recent past Krueger spoke of appointing a Sporting Director, don't ever remember seeing it confirmed that it was Reed though. So either they didn't bother to tell us for whatever reason suits them or Reed usurped the role in stating that he was in charge of football, transfers, contracts etc in his interjection before the Everton presser. As for the players comments thing I have no idea, ask Blackmore.
-
And have Rickie sulking for ever more...yeah right, I'd see that as standing in his way myself, deliberately pricing him out of the move.
-
I think we could let him have the initial one for that, perhaps bung a couple of quid Crouchie's way, sort of sell on fee.
-
Agreed, in one statement or interview Reed said that the first team did not fall under his jurisdiction. Was a while back though.
-
Cortese appointed Pochettino because he'd been recommended by Mourinho amongst others, Reed had nothing to do with it, he'd have kept Adkins until the bitter end, probably seeing him as a future England manager and all that. Don't believe the 20 scouts bolloaks, they brought us Mayuka, Gazzaniga and Forren remember, not to mention Billy Sharp.
-
perhaps Reed is just clearing the decks so that every one of our academy players has his first XI chance and thus his place in Reed's beloved England Unders sides. Seems to be an obsession with him to me.I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me why Clyne was dropped for Chambers last season, less pace going forward, less pace getting back.
