  1. By telekinetic projection presumably.
  2. Van Gaal is already manager at Man U I believe although he's still manager of the Dutch side until after the WC.
  3. He was just being facetious (or at least I think he was).
  4. Indeed , high unlikely, OP was just citing his intention for a punt at the bookies though (or so I thought). Their lists are ridiculous anyway, Bielsa signed on at Marseille on Saturday last, still 20/1 for the Saints job though.
  5. Thomas Tuchel I'd think.
  6. What before the short list is submitted to the public? That can't be right now can it.
  7. Zidane is making his niche at Real, he was youth team coach, he's got his pro-licence now and all of a sudden Ancelotti's assistant quits, Zidane will take his place as likely as not. Then it will be Ancelotti's job he's after and he won't be content until he gets it. His son plays for their U21s as well and all the family likes Madrid, he's got his future well mapped out by all apparences. Bordeaux had him in for talks (Mrs is from there) but apparently his conditions were drastic and Bordeaux couldn't muster anywhere near the cash he wanted for transfers.
  8. Never mind Ralphy, who's the fat bloke handing out the brown envelopes ?
  9. I would have thought that would be viewed in an extremely positive way actually, a really successful negociation by whoever is in fact negociating just now.
  10. Half the reported price for Shaw, 95% of the qualities. Wants to go to Real though so might not happen, probably will.
  11. Heureusement..................
  12. Don't know, Barcelona youth team manager, not too dusty at Brighton, but it is Brighton. Prefer him to McClaren that's for sure.
  13. Indeed but as many seem to think the sky is now the limit for us after another gabfest by Ralphy who can rule it out. We'll just have to wait a while for the actions to back up the fine words...how long remains to be seen.
  14. Could be, I had him down more as director of football myself but who knows. When is his contract with the FA up ?
  15. Had a long spell out injured though didn't he ?
  16. honestly I'd think that if we couldn't keep Mauricio we can't attract Benitez. See him as waiting for Villa myself when they eventually get a new rich owner or even QPR.
  17. Well if you listen to the US Navy ..their own equipment, not very likely though. Then again during the initial wreckage search various Navies and Air forces bunged a lot of electroinc junk into the drink, sonar buoys in theory, perhaps someone bunged in the odd black box tracker for whatever reason that suited them.
  18. the appointment and the recruitment package, not just the coach himself. More and more football managers are leaving clubs because they feel stiffled by the lack of serious funds for recruitment. It's why Zidane turned down Bordeaux, it's why Garde left Lyon. Managers want success as well as players.
  19. Baldini is going to get the push now isn't he? Probably didn't have much input on Mauricio's appointment, obviously wanted one of his italian cronies in the job.
  20. Probably more to do with having so many players on WC duty actually. No point in going thousands of miles to get your reserve XI thumped by some local minnows.
  21. unless they were actually resolute in letting him go. In a controlled manner of course.
  22. especially as his win ratio at Valencia was none too great. Is he leaving Feynoord then anyway. See Schuster has been given the heave ho at Malaga, that'll take away one decent candidate. Laudrup perhaps.
  23. not sure that clubs will be falling over themselves to give Moyes a job at all myself. Probably have to wait a while or drop back a level. He's really done himself no good at all. Martinez proved that Everton are a good side and got good results with them, Moyes fecked up at Utd in a relative way of speaking. He's perhaps not as good as some might have thought before he went to Old Traff.
  24. Well as long as we can sack him after one season in the same way as Edmonton Oilers what's not to like. The fights might be more interesting than the football though.
