  1. Probably more about saving money. They've brought in a few and have a ginormous squad. Piquionne wasn't getting much game time and Nouble is only a kid who's spent more time out on loan than he has at West Ham.
  2. Because he's too old and no doubt not good enough for the PL any more. Where's he playing these days?
  3. It's not a gift, it's just an assurance from the FL that they will receive their due revenues at the appropriate time.
  4. Who wasn't. Inappropriate behaviour at football in the 70s was not fighting
  5. You sure about Nouble, wasn't aware that he'd played very much at all for West Ham this season. This is Frank Nouble not Mark Noble.
  6. I'd expect a fair few cuts from the present group, far more than most suggest. I'd think only about 14/15 of our current squad will be part of the 25 for next season if we make the PL. Don't think Bart will be of that number.
  7. Won't make much difference (famous last words?). don't get confused between Nouble who's just a serial loan out kid and Noble who's their primary playmaker.
  8. probably the local worker's cooperative football team from the factory where we got those awful home made shirts from.
  9. There's a NATO enquiry about to be opened concerning Afghan Air Force involvement in drug and arms smuggling.
  10. To do what exactly?
  11. Nope just me and the 2 Belgian ladies, got to give me some extra points because they were pretty smoking hot (but then again so was I at that time).Maybe a small deduction because I was actually sort of dating one of them though and they knew each other from Uni.
  12. full 90 up on Player now
  13. Not one of the hawks of the right wing then Dune, I thought it was quite a good idea :rolleyes:along with carpet mining the track to Waziristan
  14. Depends if Reading need a point or need to win. I'm sure a few middling sides go to the Boleyn for a draw.
  15. Don't think he lacks conviction at all but always seems to want to place the ball low down inside the post giving the keeper the maximum chance when sliding it either over him or across his would be probably more successful. I mean opposing teams must look at videos of our games right, the young Ipswich keeper just seemed to know that Adam would try to slide it past his right hand because he was already going down that way on both occasions.
  16. He might well be if he could learn that little chip over that Messi often uses in 1 on 1 situations with the keeper. Looked at the all angles and thought to myself that if Adam had done that we would have probably won 3-0 at least on Tuesday. Still I guess it's far easier said than done but I noticed that we tried to slot the ball between the keeper and his right hand post a few times when the little dink up and over might have been more effective.
  17. Anyway whatever the formation and personnel we need to score early, first 20 minutes or so and then again at least before half-time. Some of the lads are looking a bit knackered and what we don't need is another nerve racking last15/20 minutes trying to keep our 3 points. That epic win at Leeds looks to have taken it's toll on a few of the boys.We need a nice easy routine 3 pointer here.
  18. To me Guly's biggest fault is that he gets offside pretty often. Other than that no general beefs with the guy.
  19. I quite like that film...plenty of very amusing scenes, not the least his struggles with the French GPS system and the dinner at the Duflots.
  20. Told you so.The Football League will do anything to avoid a fixture default by an NPC club, might let it happen in League 2 but it won't happen a few games from the end of the season in the Championship. All the "we won't make the end of the season" crap is just ritual whining to get advances from the FL.
  21. Isn't that a scientologist?
  22. Did not someone post yesterday that according to Fox himself it's looking like about a month's down time? Of course people do make up crap and post it here as gospel, never understood that really.
  23. I don't think West Ham have done any better or any worse than the value of their side would predict. I don't think their manager changes very much at all in the equation.West Ham aren't all that good at home and seem to have difficulty in breaking down middling sides there. That's about player quality rather than management ability. To me there are now 3 candidates for 2 automatic promotion place and we're probably the favourites to obtain 1 of them because we've more points on the board already.Having said that the 2 successful sides will probably be decided in the 2 games between the candidates and unfortunately for Reading they're away both times. Still don't count West Ham as an absolute certainty to go up though, never have.
  24. 57-- In the Forez hills West of St Etienne and East of Clermont Ferrand. Scientist..can't say more First home game 1960 Under the West Stand, right down by the wall stood on a box. We won; might have been Bradford.
  25. Roughly the same as we did in Iraq....playing by the rules as the general public deems them and not by the dirty tricks rules of the opposition. If we want success then we have to hit the Taliban and their offshoots hard and often and stick two fingers up to prissy home counties ladies when they start whingeing that it's not "fair play". As John Lyly said back in the 16 the century "The rules of fair play do not apply in love and war".
