On this very subject I heard today that Rennes are considering offering us a shedload for him when they lose M'Vila this summer. Not that I think he'll go there cos it's a dump and he'll be playing in the PL same as M'Vila.

How many points for 2nd place this season
Window Cleaner replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
I figured 86 would be all good. Based that on another 19 at home and just 12 away before last night's game. 7 games at home with either Reading or Skate FC taking a couple of points off of us. Away, wins at Watford,Palace and either Millwall or Peterborough would leaves us needing just a couple of draws from the other as we got a point at West Ham. Any more than that would be a bonus and we might even talk about being Champions but I'm none to worried about that. If we finish above 3rd on just goal difference or goals scored that's OK by me. -
don't know why they bother with courtrooms, just send the bailiffs round and start confiscating stuff. Then again i suppose they labour under the illusion that one fine day when hell freezes over and pigs fly Portsmouth FC will actually pay their tax and contributions bill.It won't happen lads so get down there and round up some photocopiers and ipads and that sort of stuff. At least that way you'll get a couple of quid that you'll not get any other way.

Correct, anyone could propose a CVA and a business plan based on funds they didn't actually have.Evidently the Lithuanian government arresting them for whatever it is,asset stripping is that it?,means that they weren't very "fit and proper". The FA didn't check enough, they should always ask the question "where is the money to come from" and then ask the governments of the source concerned if any preliminary investigations are under way.It might be noted that the FSA refused Bank Snoras permission to trade in the UK in 2009 because they weren't reputable enough, the FA of course (or is it the FL) didn't bother to check this out. This was a sham from day 1 and Pompey should now be put out of their misery before Chainrai finds another patsy to build up a new debt mountain.
-
but if they survive in the NPC they'll have got away scot free anyway.Just run up slates that they can't pay anyway whilst preserving their status. Should be retrograded at least 2 divisions, anything else is just a perversion of justice.

Well I hope they get closed down because that shower of crap will never learn. If they go into admin they'll just start a new debt mountain all over again. One admin should be all you are entitled to, if it happens twice in 2 years the problem is obviously structural and needs to be weeded out.A CVA means you have ripped off a lot of people and you're not going to pay them back anywhere near what you owe, especially with the football creditors rule.It also means that a lot of UK hard earned has been shipped offshore and at the end of the day the tax payer has to stump up because HMRC always gets duped for shedloads.
-
the most likely candidates seem to be those with large numbers of overseas players on high salaries and other players on high salaries as well.So West Ham might have those attributes yes.Apparently HMRC had some sort of amnesty last year, you could just own up..and more importantly wedge up with none too many questions asked and no penalties.

they'll just have to increase benefits to pay for it.

West Ham 1 - 1 Saints - Post Match Reaction

Jos says the same, but he admits to having committed a handball earlier on and doesn't seem particularly unphased about West Ham getting a penalty. -
Perhaps he's going to get the Wolves job or perhaps his board have noticed that they're not going to make automatic promotion again this season.
-
Cork needs a rest, NA doesn't seem to trust Hammond any too much now.
-
Apparently Morrison is in the crapper for Twitter remarks, hasn't played a game for West Ham yet and he might get a 4/5 stretch for being a knob on Twitter. Twitter should be phased out, can't see any point in it,too public, if you've got something to say to your friends just call or text them.
-
Cork will just as likely start at RB so the situation might resolve itself. Trouble is we'd have to bring back Bart to the bench, unless of course we have another stand-in GK of some ability hiding his light under a bushel.
-
It all depends on Frazer doesn't it. If he's out then Cork will go to RB and Hammond and Morgan will man MF.

Still a good result against a team who haven't had a game for 10 days whereas some of our players have had 2 extra full matches since then. What's the news on Frazer? will it have to be a complete re-shuffle for Saturday. Cork to RB,Bart back on the bench? -
Good result, tick off one of the 12 away points needed.
