I read somewhere that Punch was having discussions with NA today regarding his future, couldn't guarantee the accuracy though, think the same site said Morgan was going to Villa for 7 million and I doubt that really.

yep remarked on it yesterday, looked at the other videos as well, marking doesn't seem to exist in the J League, neither does tacking, we'll see how we get on when another side's version of Chaplow bites his legs.

Been reading up on Lee San, he's a free agent so any talk of a transfer fee is wide of the mark. -

Well I don't expect making up crap to fill papers and blogs is exclusive to the UK. If he really has been going around telling everybody full details of his contract NC will have it in his well filled waste bin even before Lee gets to sign on the dotted line. -

I've been looking at the extended highlights and couldn't help but notice the striking similarity between Morgan's effort on Friday which James turned over and Sparrow's effort for Brighton's second goal. Same distance, both shots extremely well placed and extremely well struck, difference is James gets to ours and Kelvin doesn't get to theirs. -

And so he is, if he was worth 5+£ million last summer (debateable) and he's available in 4 months time for zilch he's obviously got to cash in a bit. What would be the problem as far as I see it is that Bristol City won't accept that their player will be totally worthless to them in a few months and are probably holding out for far too much. I mean if Maynard was available right now for just a million £ signing on fee and a comparable wage wouldn't you be amongst the first in line if you were a football manager. 1 million £ is nothing in todays football, not for a decent player on a freebie. -
They should move to France, just the child allowances for 10 kids would net them about 1400 euros a month, bit more if any are over 16

It's what he'll certainly get in the summer, clubs will queue up to give him that. Thing is Brizzle want money for him now as well so I guess clubs are just offering them their valuation less Maynard's demands.May still be with Bristol until the summer, cos 4 months isn't very long to wait for a million quid. -

Well you usually have to apply for Governing Body Endorsement which means complying with the FA rules on the subject. 75% of international matches played by the nation within the last 2 years (Lee won't make that, didn't play in the WC 2010) and the nation has to be 70th ranked or higher.Only on field appearances count, subs have to play to qualify and non-selection because of injury has to be proven. Lee played for S Korea in the youth categories so it may well be a thing of discussion as to when exactly he qualified (or signalled his acceptance) to play for Japan. -

I don't think it's a question of being "rubbish" at applications for Work Permits,it's moire a case of applying for permits for rubbish. -
Havenaar has signed at Vitesse Arnhem, turned down Wolfsburg apparently.

Not really 9 out of 17 doesn't make 75%. Japan have played an incredible number of internationals this last year.If Lee had been available for selection for the 2010 World Cup and it's build up matches,June 2010 falling into the 2 year period his games selected to games possible will be very low, something like 30% ish.I don't doubt our management know what they're doing though so although I see obtaining a work permit as by no means nailed on I guess we're confident of getting it. -

So here's the latest bijou from L'Equipe concerning Maynard, isn't it strange that a French paper, albeit dedicated entirely to sport, knows more about what's going on than the Tabloids cos L'Equipe is rarely wrong,by the way apparently Onze was talking about Lee weeks ago . Anyway back to Maynard. Cheapskate Wolves had apparently offered about 1 million £ for Maynard and quite understandably Brizzle have told them to f*ck off,so Wolves are now running after Piquionne who I guess they see as a cheap option and Maynard is still available. -

Right been having a look and doing a bit of the old fag packet maths. Lee had no international caps before the Asia Cup, including that tournament he's played 9 times for Japan from 17 international fixtures so that's not 75% of the fixtures is it.He might not have been available for all of them though but if the Home Office stick strictly to the 75% in the last 2 years rule we're going to struggle again here. -

Well I hope they don't get the shirts printed up until the bloke actually gets onto the roster. They've got 30000 BECKHAM shirts down at PSG going cheap. Plus there's no VAT on exports so the price will go down quite a bit. -
that would be good, Brighton's awful disciplinary record might even help us there.
-
Couldn't say really but Cardiff have 14 players who've scored at least 1 League goal this season against 11 for us.

Lee won't have played since the end of November, beginning of December,so he's not going to be match fit in a high intensity league like the NPC from the day his work permit drops onto the mat is he. -

Is it OK not to give a toss about this bloke really and wish we were getting on with some real signings?? -
We'll have to see how that pans out, hope we're not tarting about to save 50 p though. I personally thought we would have a new striker signed by 00.01 on January 1st,I got it wrong then.

Depends on how much Mendehall's absence throws them out of sync.Is Big Ben fully fit, though he was hobbling a bit the other evening. The Steelers will no doubt overcome the Broncos but it may not be all that easy, providing that the Broncs can find some receivers that can actually catch the ball, woeful at that on sunday cos some of the passes that went to ground were well catchable .
