SSN at 5 to see Stuart Pearce at SMS for U21 squad
Window Cleaner replied to saintjay77's topic in The Saints
So qualifiying started before the 2009 finals in Sweden?? Seems strange. -
nope he was dropped, but there's a world U20s tournament somewhere this summer, don't know if England are qualified though, I guess not
-
the rules concern the starting point of the competition. I guess that in this case the qualifying rounds must have started in September 2009 so all players who were under 21 at that time are still eligible for the Euro 2011 U 21 final tournament, trouble is Lallana wasn't U21 then.I could be wrong on the start point though, but as it's a tournament that takes place every 2 years if I remember rightly I can't see that the qualifying rounds would have started before the 2009 finals. To me Lallana is overage but perhaps there's some specific rule for that, there is in the Olympics...2 overage players per team.

The "Big" News - free "All Star" match on Sunday: K.O 3pm

All in all a bit of a bonus for all the fans who are going to the UK just for Saturday's match,as well as all of the others of course. Hope they get a great turnout, then again I guess the club will make a little bit from the vending points, unless the beer is free as well.... -
If I remember rightly though we were within sight of a couple of victories but either rain or some stubborn batting from the last pair denied us.This season we just seem abysmally bad in a couple of sectors.

Can't quite see what his beef is really. In the NPC the 45th games (ie one of the last 2) we're staggered all over the place, some yesterday, some Saturday so how exactly that equates to "any championship in the world playing their last 2 games at the same time" I just couldn't say. Needs to engage his brain before putting his mouth into gear.

That would be for the game they have at SMS then. Don't know if he's still qualified for the Euro 2011 U21s, though, need to be under 21 when the competition started, can't remember when that was.Couple of years back I guess. -
Didn't Rickie's first goal yesterday come from an immaculate Butters cross?
-
must have missed that then, I thought they oscillated between League 1 and League 2 a bit and finally fell back into League 2.Hadn't any idea that they have been in the Championship in recent times.

Although the OS is at fault as well, says that tickets are on sale rather than available. Never mind, however I note that the official line has changed since yesterday as this is advertised as "getting the promotion party started" whereas yesterday we were "not up yet but in a good place". -

Yes I got that bit but given out was the expression needed not sold. No doubt there'll be tickets available after the game on Saturday though. -

Not bad at all, good for those able to turn up at SMS on two consecutive afternoons then. Hope Solent will be covering it for Saints Player as well.Put it up live even better. -
picnic, although the admonitions not to go alone and better to stay at home would tend to indicate that there is something to be feared in turning up uninvited at the gathering of teddy bears.
-
Really ?? were Grimsby in the Championship when was there then??
-
colour me dubious on Richardson making the grade in the NPC then. For me we need to sign a right back unless the young Stephens can step up to the job,not confident of that for next season though. Butterfield might be able to hold down the place for one more season though.

probably something to do with the jolly in the West Indies this winter, this is about the difference between 1 day and 4 day cricket.Apart from the openers and perhaps McKenzie the batsmen haven't tuned into steady scoring to build a total, the bowlers on the other hand are just useless apart from Briggs and sooner or later he'll get smashed for 100+ from 20 overs or so.Bowling has been a problem since Warne left, we can restrict scores in limited over games but we can't bowl sides out.The fact that Somerset took 50 odd runs from 20 odd no balls just defies all explanation except that we can't bowl properly.
-
With a bit of luck and a spot of good management it will never concern us again. Frightful,sh*tty, little league.Home of ginger headed, 5ft 2in midfield rottweillers and 7ft brick crapper front men.
-
Then again if they hadn't missed a penalty we'd still need to at least draw this week-end and hope Huddersfield don't win 16-0.
-
Doubt if there will be much big bucks spending this summer, 2 or 3 million would be good already.
-
What wouldn't surprise me is that he didn't look the same and that Pakistanis might not have recognised him,if that were to be the case then the Americans wouldn't have such a big downer on them as they do now.No doubt there'll be some select treatment in store for his son.

Huddersfield appreciation/respect thread

Spot on -
That would give Bristol Rovers a chance of survival though if D+ R don't win.
-
A win, don't want to be involved in any relegation allegations, we beat Walsall and then it's up to D+R to sort themselves out. Anyway we owe Walsall one, probably cost us the title or at least an easier passage to automatic promotion because Brighton would have had to make at least the same effort against Huddesfield as they did against us.

Nope, the dedicated followers of fashion will make the next shirt a resounding success, unless of course it's just plain crap.
