  1. They're left backs though, their number of assists shouldn't really matter any too much. You can't judge a left back by the number of assists. It must not be forgotten however that Dickson has appeared in midfield on occasions.
  2. tar with the same brush can't remember the origin though, probably in the days when tarrring and feathering was a standard punishment for some minor misdemeanour or other. Pity we gave up on that really, would probably be 3 times as effective as an ASBO and half the cost. Bring back the stocks and the pillory say I.
  3. they only got 2002 at home the other day.
  4. the Red was 2 yellows, Collins just got 1 match. On the highlights it's not very clear whether the yellow comes out first or not, must have though.
  5. He might be slightly peeved about not getting the West Ham loan move then, not that he'd have got many starts there either, but as an experience it might have been useful to him.I mean he's not 15 years old is he,must be about the same age as a lot of other League 1 starting CBs.
  6. Like Martin will get another start for us this season.NA seems to put him on the bench only when he absolutely has no other option. Great pity really because he looked good last season.Next season maybe, it does seem that NA likes to nurture the younger players a bit, with the exception of AOC of course.Couldn't see why Gobern didn't start on Monday either, surely one game at Brighton didn't clap him out.
  7. Apparently Brentford have a lot of injuries?
  8. Right, tribunal fee only. They probably thought they'd get more.
  9. Norwich have strengthened in a couple of key areas,Surman,Ward and Tierney in the main.Very astute business there.
  10. nothing, except for gifting them a win at St Mary's that is.
  11. Dickson is erratic because he sometimes gives the ball away when he shouldn't and sometimes misses tackles when he shouldn't.
  12. Mainly because they know little about football. Harding is by far superior to the erratic Dickson. Which is why he's started 39 of our 49 games this season at left back and Dickson has started 10.
  13. True, we need to get his contract sorted out for next season...if it hasn't been done already. He'll no doubt get other offers though if he's available on a free.
  14. Red and Green should never be seen, get the interior decorators round.
  15. i think there's still a laser eye job place there now. I remember the old eye hospital in Bedford place though, remember my grandad being in there for something or other. It could be that the 2 places existed in tandem for a while with different functions. The "italian place" was the Piccolo Mondo at that time, next to Channon's Hairderessers.
  16. AOC a certainty to leave Ithink. I've heard no rumblings about Morgan of late except that in theory he can leave for free if we don't get promoted. St Etienne wanted him last summer but we were asking an awful lot of money (according to my ASSE contact..could be crap) which they didn't have. They tried to sell Perrin to Monaco to get it but it didn't come off so it all fell through.Think he might well stay actually, depends how much we'd be asking this time.
  17. The Eye Hospital moved to Six Dials ages back even when I lived in town in the 70s. It was on the Ring Road just up from the Tech College, maybe the Art College was sandwiched between them although it could be the Tech was between the EH and the AC.
  18. Forte signed for 3 1/2 years I think, N'Guessan and Stephens (Dale) are only on loan. Musn't forget the other Stephens though who we signed from Plymouth,we'll have to see how he looks when he plays for us, no doubt in pre-season.
  19. Well I know people like Alan Pascoe and Mike Gratton (who??) and they both went to Borough Road. Not sure it wasn't TT in the main though, Mike definitely started out as a teacher (didn't take long for him to jack it in though) I thought solent Uni was the old Tech college next to the Eye Hospital, can't remeber the name of the Catholic Teachers place up the Avenue, should do really, spent quite a bit of time in there.
  20. I bet we would be apart from the ridiculous Wilkins era though. I think if you compare results under NA only (excluding the MK Dons loss cos he'd only been here 1 day) we are just a fraction of a point behind Brighton if you extrapolate our results to their number of games played. If they win their last 2 they'll be fractionally ahead come what may but if they don't an extrapolation of the "Adkins era" over 46 games would probably be in our favour. Pointless and hypothetical I know because those 3 Wilkins defeats exist but since then we are as good as them.
  21. No the CB and the striker refers to mounting a challenge, perhaps my expression of that is wayward. What we have now is probably good enough for the bottom half etc. Sorry didn't make it clear enough evidently.
  22. is Loughborough still stuffed full with hunky, future PE teachers? About the only thing is was famous for in my day. All the top sports folk with a couple of brain cells went there, the others went to Borough Road College in London.
  23. I didn't even realise that a second Uni had been installed in Nottingham, why would they do that? Can't they just make the old one...the real one, collegiate? I'm sure that they could cut some costs with a centralised administration like that.
  24. Won't take 20 million to build a challenge for the CCC. 5 perhaps, think that's about what Norwich put out last close season, maybe not even that.Brighton have a sound base,as do we, they probably need a CB and a midfielder, we need a CB and a striker, other than that both sides can probably go top half with what they have next season. The NPC really isn't all that good just now although some sides are obviously superior. At the moment I'd fancy our chances against any of the lower half NPC sides and probably a couple of the others.
