  1. FFS Sholing already losing.......sort it out
  2. I can, he's missed too many games, albeit through injury. Fonte has been incredibly reliable and virtually ever present. We'd be in a mess if Fonte had missed 15/20 odd games.Lallana has missed them and we're still up there.
  3. Point taken but I'd have liked to see Gobern given a run of a few consecutive games.
  4. It's not all that bad really, not for the price because you get to watch the pre and post match videos, plus highlights plus the occasional full 90 as well.I mean what else do you get for 4 euros a month these days. It's got a lot better during matches of late as well, just whinger Merrington to sort out now.
  5. Nah we'll win 8-5; Um has foreseen it in a cider induced dream, that's the way the old druids did it (well with a bit of mead as well).
  6. Harsh on a few players to be dropped.Wholesale changes really. Still it's only Hartlepool
  7. You can keep the lucky cabbage as well..............beurkkk; disgusting stuff.
  8. It is now or rather it will be at about ten to five today:rolleyes:
  9. that would be because we didn't appoint Margaret Thatcher as manager then.
  10. What a great way to spend an Easter week-end. Football on Saturday and Monday and a 550 run,80 over thriller at the Rosebowl on Sunday. This is the quintessence of Easter and one of the few things you really miss when you're a long time expat.
  11. Football has changed since then though.Players' salaries have become so much higher .Saints used to stay in the PL on Dell Gates because players like Dodd and Benali were good enough to keep them there and didn't demand exhorbitant amounts, you could still unearth gems like Pahars for less than a million and they'd stay for 4/5 years on reasonable pay.Wouldn't still happen that way now.
  12. I really, really doubt that we will have any problems in overcoming Hartlepool today.
  13. Above all not Rochdale to be promoted anyway. Their average home gate must be about 4000, they just couldn't afford a side for the NPC on that. There should be a minimum gate for each division.
  14. Hmmmmmm I've looked at the prices, very varied. Still with the monthly option I guess they're pretty affordable to most. I don't doubt that our STs will be suimilarly priced when we get promotion.Minimum about £390 for adults and £550'ish maximum. That would be quite a price hike for us I think.
  15. Brighton do need to go up though, their investment merits it,hope they get decent crowds next season though because 8000 in the NPC would be rank.
  16. Does seem a bit unfair that a team that gets 15/16 more points than the 6th placed team in the regular season can lose out in the lottery.Sort of negates 5 or 6 wins and makes playing percentage football the way to go if you're not very good. I mean if by any chance say Exeter got promoted instead of Huddersfield via the play-offs that would be a travesty of justice.Means you can just about obtain promotion by winning all of your home games and losing all but 3 or 4 of your away games.
  17. Perhaps you could go to your convention in similar attire Phil,Nun's outfit and gasmask probably wouldn't look too out of place in Dubai.
  18. Good job Danny Briggs has managed to winkle a couple out because the seamers were getting tonked. Our 26 off the last over probably saved it for us.
  19. I don't think it's just today though.
  20. Not so much now, bowling now getting slammed and Warks might just win this unless we get another wicket soon. This bowling attack will be the end of us. NB got the wicket now 198/6 with about 8 overs to go. As they've been averaging over 10 an over since about the 24 th over it's probably not finished yet.
  21. Nice knock from McKenzie again today, 24 off of the last over as well. 274/5 Hants from their 40 o
  22. Believe it or not that's what happens. QUOTE=saintmatt;1023460]I can't believe this was allowed! Teams benefiting purely because the fixture list threw their match up later in the season?? Isn't this the situation for a lot of clubs that have had extended (albeit medicore) stays in the top flight? If so, I'd take finishing 10th in the top flight over being champions of the fourth tier any day!
  23. The old Valley Parade was a regal dump, when we played there in the Cup in 76 Wellington Boots were absolutely necessary.Caught fire though and has been redeveloped a bit, still a dump though.
  24. The FL would just give whoever Plymouth are playing on the last day 3 points for a 3-0 win. Happened in France just recently. Guegnon went out of business but as they played more than 70% of their matches the results stood and everybody still to play them gets a 3-0 win.Standard UEFA rules although I suppose the FL might do it differently, not for 1 game though.
  25. I doubt that the result of that match will have much effect on us. We just need to win the 2 home games and beat Plymouth (who'll be relegated by then)
