What's to not like about them after all, a throwback to a golden age where my Grandad spent all of his working life.A reminder to us all that once upon a time you spent 45 or 50 years working in the same place every day and not many complained about it,now we all like a bit of a moan if our tea's too hot or too cold or if the supermarket is out of our favourite bikkies.
-
Other than that you could take advantage of Yorkie's ticket run.
-
I don't know if the hotel is as yet finished. It's a necessity for test cricket apparently. We haven't finished our hotel yet but we still have our test match in 2011 because the ECB have allowed us a bit of leeway.
-
Sounds like the Rose Bowl then.
-
So what else did he say?
-
Doubt it, I presume the owner wants a state of the art affair with shopping malls, leisure facilities and all that, which we'll never get at St Mary's it's too scruffy.
-
Are the gasometers not listed or something like that. I thought we couldn't get them pulled down.
-
It would have to be cheap then.
-
I don't know perhaps they think St Mary's is a bit of a dump (not the stadium but the surrounding area) Pity we can't all hear this latest media bite from Cortese so that we can hear what it's all about.
-
I know Cortese was supposed to be doing a question and answer session sometime soon, don't know exactly when. If he has re-iterated his statement about money and play-offs then I would think AP is on a slippery slope, but it just could be old news being re-hashed.
-
And this is a recent statement ? or are we going back to the one a few weeks back, before the Norwich game.

Anyone have any spare tickets for Wembley?

Although to be fair the MK Dons home game was sold out though, well our tickets anyway but as you say the problem was envisageable. Even I bought a ticket for that game with no intention of going, gave it to my niece's boyfriend but the little bugger can get his own Wembley ticket cos he's not having mine. -
Well then you'll just have to wait and see what happens won't you.Mind you if I was you I wouldn't brag about it at all because I think the TO monitors most threads involving tickets, you'd have to check that with them then. Ticket Office was last on line yesterday evening at 1030 pm but they don't accept PMs as far as I know.Probably checking on how many times they got called mong and borderline retarded I expect.
-
yes that's called an entitlement.
-
But as Mrs Woody has explained to us the timing isn't under scrutiny. It's the number of tickets per customer entitlement that seems to be subject to a possible correction. You'll get your ticket anyway provided you have just advanced the purchase of your eventual entitlement. If you applied twice or thrice successfully then I guess you may be in for a wee bit of disappointment, or not even be aware that you in theory got 2 or 3 tickets. As I said on another thread the other day there may be a few surprises when tickets start hitting doormats and debits start hitting bank accounts.Especially for delayed debit systems.
-
So a total demand for 51000+ tickets, amazing

Pretty thirsty motor you've got there Yorkie. Good gesture though, a 9£ premium for a ticket when plenty seem to be willing to pay 125£ on the old ticket exchanges seems reasonable. -
which is exactly what I preclude in my statement by saying "if what you say is true".Mrs Woody tells us that she has "heard" something which will make a big mess and I wouldn't exclude the TO (perhaps at a higher level than you have spoken with) clamping down on illicit (if that is the word) ticket buying by clients who had not the right at that time.I don't know, I don't run the ticket office or the club but if they want to let fair play be seen to exist then no action can be ruled out.
-
Just repeating what the boss man said though.
-
If what you say is true then Mrs Woody it sounds as if it could be a right shambles and we shall have several more incredibly eloquent, really p*ssed off threads in the near future. If the TO have really done this, well good on them.I presume they have detected a flaw in the system and tracked back on it's exploitation. I still don't doubt that there will be a raging black market in tickets very very soon, the number of regular match goers against the number of tickets sold and the number of "disappointed" just don't add up.Shame on anyone who lines their pockets just because they can.
-
That would be the Lallana who has been ticked off by AP because he was crap at Tranmere then. AP certainly likes to tell it as it is in his pre-match interviews; well within reason I suppose.

April 1st is still a few days away.
-
pity he didn't sh*g Terry's Mrs whilst he was at it.That man would be a real folk hero.
-
go to my post 7 (I think) you'll see the original quoted which has now disappeared over the hills and far away. Deano was hacked off because he didn't get his tickets but he really did etc etc etc.

Britain really is a sh*t country these days but what do you expect with a gutless socialist government.
