  1. Whatever NC decides I suppose.If you take note of what MLT has said (or is said to have said) I would imagine the bar is pretty high.
  2. We do seem to be getting our fair share of injuries at the moment, about half the squad off and on.Too many games close together..
  3. but they only have about 3500 regular fans, 25000 tickets so you can give them away with the Cornflakes and nobody will lose out.Not that I'm a great critic of our system but when you have 13500 odd season ticket holders and you want to reward them by letting them have 2 tickets each it needs an ingenious plan so that regular supporters will not lose out because of those who are usually doing the ironing or weeding the garden of a Saturday. I'm sure the TO didn't count on nigh on 50000 tickets being demanded because we only have 25000 regular fans.
  4. Sounds like it's going to be a big ol' mess;
  5. So if we beat Brighton we'll be on 80 points is that it? We'll win our last 10 then.Brighton -Southampton isn't on the BBC fixture list, it's next Thursday at 19H45 though.
  6. I expect he's far more excited about the Wolfsburg game with Fulham next week . He's got a cup replay tomorrow, a run of the mill EPL game on Saturday and the Wolfsburg next Thursday so I guess he can give the JPT a miss without any great chagrin.
  7. Baseya asked to leave, didn't you know that? He was very unsettled and going down all the wrong roads.
  8. But even then we sold players for vastly more than that sum at the inter-season after our play-off bid. Baird and Bale covered that sum and there were other sales as well. Those 7 million were not the cause of our demise. The real reason was the ridiculous contracts offered by Burley, refused by the execs and sanctioned by the non-execs. But then as a Runnymede attendee you'd already know that. Burley put us in the crapper,aided and abetted by Crouch,Wiseman et al.
  9. I don't think we print them ourselves, presume the Football League look after that. Hence printing out duplicates isn't on. I think they give you a chit which you have to exchange for the duplicates at Wembley. Couldn't be sure though.
  10. To be fair we had 2 jokers a few games back but as we used them up within 3 games we just don't have any more.
  11. They've probably started re-allocating all the bogus tickets obtained by deception;) and those they've allocated twice or thrice.
  12. At this stage last year S****horpe were on 58 points from 36 games, Colchester are already on 63 from the same number of games. This season the threshold for the play-off places will be abnormally high.It's a minimum of 80 points and to us that's 10/10 we have to win.
  13. So no more blips for us this season then. I just can't see it. I thought we'd win our last 7 at home and then came Swindon.We can be shut down too easily, we have players stacking up cards,we're beginning to get injuries thick and fast. Only a brave man would bet on us winning 10/10 .
  14. I'd think we're more likely to lose against Brizzle than Brighton;
  15. Well he certainly didn't pay me or any other shareholder as far as I know. I think we were classed as creditors.
  16. anyway it's not about money, it's about sporting challenges. Most professional sportspeople want to play at the highest level possible.That's why a few players (or so they say) turned us down in January. You can always hack along on what you earn but sportspeople live for the challenge.
  17. i think he had to do it a long time ago, I just supposed my postal forwarding system had failed and I didn't get my copy. Unimportant anyway as there was nothing for the shareholders.
  18. No NC said the club was debt free now but that doesn't mean they paid up everything that was owed. SLH owed the creditors not the club. ML627 (or whatever it is) bought the Stadium and the Club from the administrators of SLH PLC, it was rumoured that they paid about 15 million (but it could have been less) With the player sales (which probably went to bolster the assets of the PLC) SLH PLC probably acquitted about half of it's debt.The whole affair is shrouded in mystery.
  19. What are the odds on Morgan being the first to have a shot cleared off the line. I'd go for that one.
  20. Didn't we ?? I've never seen a blow by blow account of the affair, never got the shareholders circular either. As far as I know Markus bought the club out of administration and the administrator sorted out the creditors of SLH. I don't for one minute think the club acquitted all of it's debts.But as few really know what happened who could really say.I really really doubt that SLH paid all it's debts.
  21. Eamonn Collins did make a sort of start on a career, followed Bally about a bit, first to Skate then to Colchester. Probably did play for our first team once or twice as well but was probably too small for first class football in the 80s
  22. They're not worth abusing, 3000 real fans and 20000 made up of part timers and Wembley specials. Don't get chucked out on their account, most of them will never ever have seen a real live football match before.
  23. I really couldn't say, just know what I'd do but them I'm pretty unflappable most of the time (and a bit of a miser as well ) I'd have asked them why they did it though. sorry I've taken up all your posts with my curious nature though..
  24. I'd have taken me chance and kept the 37 quid, a ticket is a ticket as long as you've got it it should be valid.Perhaps it was a gesture of appeasement, because you weren't where you wanted to be they gave you the price of 1 ticket and your booking fee back.Think of that ?
