I see on APs build up interview that this match is "more or less quite important" sounds like something out of Jane Austen
-
didn't we (at one time) have some young New Zealander saying his dad tried to buy out Saints but Lowe,Wilde and Crouch told him to f*ck off? Think he went under the name of New Zealand Saint funnily enough,

How many of our players are CCC standard ?
Window Cleaner replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I think many of you are vastly overrating the actual standard of the CCC. Leicester went up last season and are doing really well,Peterborough aren't though.Swansea looked for a long time as if they'd get in the play-offs last season in their first season up and Newcastle are absolutely ****ing all over most Championship sides, displaying the vast gulf between the premier league and the CCC.Middlesborough you all cry, well they were doing pretty well but they changed a good manager for a burnt out one and have paid the price a bit. -
If you need to make a "carré magique" reference, Giresse or Tigana would be more apt.
-
And what sort of transfer fee do you imagine that Lambert would command? He isn't "a steal' at 15 million to be sure. Leeds and Norwich will have far more money to spend on players than we will, because there is outside money in the CCC and they both get good gates. We need to drop the "king of the castle " attitude. We haven't exactly thrown millions at the market either. We've bought some good players on easy terms but we ain't Man U, Chelsea or Man C or even Nottingham Forest.

more than 3 surely because there was Mellis as well plus Jake Thomson who'd not really played much football for us before (and hasn't since) Never did understand exactly why AP chucked them on and took off 2 lads who'd played together before.Leaving us with a midfield of Wotton,Thomson,Mellis and Lallana to play in front of an absolutely catastrophic defensive pairing of Thomas and Perry (and to add insult to injury putting Lancashire on late on as well). We fielded a completely f*ckwit team to start with and made it worse as we went on.Why? because Mr Pardew doesn't get on with Simon Gillett.
-
Nevertheless we'd just equalised at 1-1 and he threw an absolutely dippy double substitution.Perhaps he hadn't worked out the relative strengths of his squad then.
-
We seemed to be doing OK at Huddersfield but with the score at 1-1 AP suddenly decided to take off Morgan and James and stick on Mellis and Jake Thomson after about 55 minutes, it all suddenly went tits up thereafter.

Someone to replace all 3 of the players that will be leaving. Superman CDAJFU
-
it is the only realistic first team that we have.Antonio and Papa don't produce over 90 minutes and are (at the moment) basically bench players.Although Seabourne for Jaidi wouldn't probably make all that much difference.Jaidi is the better play just now though.

Here's some "news" from L'Equipe, no doubt it's already in the Sundays anyway. Apparently Pompey owe more than at first thought, somewhere around 78 million £. The administrator can't quite understand just how they've sold so many players for quite a lot of money (100 million according to L'Equipe) and still have so much debt. So the Admin is going to look into the transfers in detail, one by one to try to fathom out where all the funds have gone...good hunting my friend.

Not much Rugger at Winchester these days, soccer or Wincoll football seem to be the choices. Wincoll football is with a soccer ball and a Rugby scrum type game.
-
Care to elucidate on the "keeps interfering" for us?
-
And about 6 French first division clubs as well.
-
then it's as I saw at the Norwich game, the two seem to have swapped roles, before Morgan was the milieu recuperateur and Hammond the milieu relayeur,if what you saw yesterday is exact it's gone the other way round now.

League One harder than normal this season?
Window Cleaner replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Leeds won the first 7 matches and a total of 11 out of the first 13. that's the difference, they were competitive straight away. Probably had a baddish patch somewhere. After 13 matches they were already on +20 -

Leeds finished on 76 points(5th) (same as Swindon in 6th) meaning that they obtained a total of 91 points for the season.Swansea won the League with 92 and Forest were second with 82 -
I think quite a few chose the Leeds game though.

He probably got DT from M Cortese for that, evidently why he sounded so hacked off.
-
i've only seen the OS version though, thought he talked about next tuesday only. Should have listened to Solent instead of watching the Rugby then.
-
I didn't hear last Tuesday's match mentioned at all,he give short nearly monosyllabic answers to everything. But probably something else troubling him.Now the appointment of a Director of Football or something might just trigger that sort of attitude or not.
-
Still he does look (and sound) mightily ****ed off in the interview, very short as well.Is he wearing a black tie?
-
Now that he's been sacked by Gatorade he only has enough energy for a couple of quickies near to home.
-
And so it is but only if we win virtually all of our games and that will depend on injuries; We have one team and nothing much in reserve.
-
but they wiped out the minus points in about 5 games I think. Plus the new owner and the old owners were basically the same thing.
