  1. Van crashed? Sounds like excuse of the day. Friend of mine used to work logisitics for a well known manufacturer of white goods. He once told me that they had a folder with a list of day's "reasons for delay or non-delivery" in it. Instead of getting several different "reasons" depending on who he spoke to a client always got the same "reason" on the same day.Sort of Cheese Shop simplified .
  2. so did you get 6 tickets or 5 at the end of the day?
  3. Yep must have got confused with Swindon last Tuesday I guess, happens sometimes.
  4. Really doubt that 21K max, could be lower. We only got 20K on Saturday and MK Dons brought a few. Hartlepool will bring about 150
  5. Anyway AP seems to deal with the issue in his pre-match piece. Reports on injuries and the like and then says anyone not putting in 100% tonight might lose his Wembley place (other than the non-eligible players of course). So I guess it will be a pretty standard look team apart from the injured players. KD Harding Seaborne Fonté Mills Hammond Puncheon Papa Morgan Lambert Barnard
  6. I think due to a new overseas rights contract which kicks in at the start of next season the EPL clubs will get an additional 13 million each although it may be performance based and the 13 million is a mean figure. Plus there is the new "homegrown" quota which kicks in as well, maybe that won't make all that much difference though.
  7. wasn't thinking of Surman really, more of Deano,Walcottt ,Bale,Jones, perhaps even Baird plus many many others over the years.
  8. Does not the article say that Championship clubs can forget it? Does it say he won't be going anywhere...I think not. Once again the Echo making something out of nothing. I would think that Lambert may have a clause in his contract that if an EPL club comes in for him he can talk to them, with or without our permission.
  9. Pfhh, if I had a tenner for every Saint's player that "won't be going anywhere" and then did at the first sniff of cash I'd be a Bahamas resident by now.
  10. With a torn calf muscle? Either it's not as bad as that (torn muscle) or he won't be playing at Wembley.
  11. Not so, not all of the time, you only have to look at some of the sides "top clubs" turn out in the League Cup to know that to teams with high ambition for one competition or another there are cups that don't figure on their list of priorities. It is a fallacy that every manager wants to win every game, that's how youth players get their chance in the EPL.
  12. Anyway if leeds do not make promotion this season next season's Leeds might be something completely different. Doubt if Grayson would survive the shock wave and they're sure to lose Beckford anyway, probably a few others as well. Kisnorbo is out for the season and that will make a big difference to them.
  13. Millwall lost 2-0 to Barnet in the first rounds of the JPT, we're not talking about Leeds.Played their second string keeper as well maybe because of injury, I don't know. they got the JPT out of the way early on, that's all that matters.
  14. Except that in our case we wanted to win in the JPT because AP thought a winning mentality was important, he's on record as saying so.
  15. Still I think Rodrigues lack of progress was probably more to do with his horrific injuries than lack of ability. Some players just don't find the same level afterwards, specially with 2 broken legs in short succession.
  16. Probably the case in the JPT actually, they'd have beaten Barnet if they wanted to, not the Cup though as they lost a replay on penalties. Many clubs with promotion ambitions don't give a toss about the JPT, if they win they win but I bet they rested players at Barnet.
  17. must be stacks of them, Kevin Davies, Brett Ormerod and all players from that generation, most of them must still be playing somewhere.
  18. no it doesn't because he's not eligible
  19. Wouldn't mind a couple of "failures" like Mike Williamson in our squad nowadays. On loan at Newcastle has had a few games in the first side since he's been there (end of Jan 10) and is being kept out by some sort of injury just now. Rather have him than Seaborne,Perry or Thomas, maybe even instead of Jaidi. We just do not know how to recognise talent at SFC, unless it jumps out and bites us in the arse from time to time.
  20. the only player who risks a suspension as a result of a yellow card tonight is Puncheon although a couple of others are on 8.No yellow cards tonight would affect our Wembley line up.
  21. And to think that a few games ago Millwall weren't even in the play-off places and we thought we'd surpass them with ease, a really good run in so far, mind you they've not bothered themselves with the JPT at all or the FA Cup overmuch.
  22. I've got a pair of those chucked in a corner of the garage somewhere. Bought them, ran one 25K race with them and they killed my feet, threw them in a corner in disgust.Might have used them for gardening a couple of times, definitely wouldn't fetch 1000 £ though.
  23. Only the Juniper Berry was really on the walls, probably the old queers ****ging room
  24. whaddya mean Centre 2000, that's the new baths.
