  1. Turns out it was one 4-0 away win and that was the end of Pards. A very sad day for our club IMHO.
  2. Wow. That is very disappointing news for me. I felt Pardew was the man to get us promoted, and I am not pleased with this news at all.
  3. Check out working holiday visas if you want to go to some of the Commonwealth countries like Australia.
  4. Or he just got lucky and the QC figured it out.
  5. Un ****ing believable. This festering turd of a club is continuing to wave two fingers at the rest of the world. Doubtless the newer player will be on a higher salary than the "young boys" and the money that could have and should have been used to pay back the creditors will be spent to enhance the team and benefit the new owner of the club. Utterly ****ing disgraceful and I can't believe this ends here. Someone - hopefully the Football League - is going to stamp on their caravan and crush them.
  6. The alternative CVA shows that is not the case though. That showed Pompey slashing the salary budget, playing a bunch of kids and quite possibly getting relegated.. however, more of the money would have been returned to creditors. It quite elegantly made the point that the money provided by the current creditors should be returned to them, rather than being at the disposal of the new owners to keep the club competitive. The decision stinks.
  7. This is a stunning judgment. It seems Mann has set aside the breaches of the law to achieve (in his view) better deal for creditors. If he had found in HMRC's favour it is possible that the smaller creditors could have been adversely affected if Chanrai followed through on his threat to liquidate the club. However, it seems very unlikely they will ever get any money anyway - not even the yearly 4p in the pound given the poor response to Pompey trying to flog their "stars". The breaches of the law seem clear, so it seems a judge has discretion to overlook these if he feels it is better? (for the creditors?)
  8. Yes, but we all alerted the FA to that at the time and got nowhere DIRTY STINKING CHEATS
  9. If that idiot plays a small role in their downfall I would **** myself with laughter.
  10. Best news I have read all day. Let's hope the site admins take the same line on letting you re-subscribe as the club takes with Nick's season ticket.
  11. What actually happened at Silverspoons? I have seen a lot of mention of this, but no idea what actually happened?
  12. I would support limiting most members to six posts a day, and StuRomseySaint to six posts a month.
  13. I have been on internet saints dicussion groups for 15 year or so, from Dave Curries Saintslist through the various iterations of this forum... and this is the only forum where I can't be bothered to participate or read threads actively... just because the same old suspect **** on and on and spoil the forum for the majority... it would be great if the five quid limited everyone to posting six times a day rather than unlimited posting... I suspect the quality would go up and the quantity would go down which would be awesome. In summary, I think you're wrong - this forum is a lot worse than it could/should be.
  14. He also said these are all good sources, implying he believes them. Personally I think it is horse**** - if we are doing well, winning games and at the top of the league there is no chance Pardew will be given the boot. This is so self-evident it beggars belief a "respected" (by some) person wants to circulate these establishing rumours. Stick to trolly-dollying Duncan.
  15. Yeah sorry! Let's get back to the subject matter. Pompey are not yet toast but I think they're at least some pretty warm bread. The fat lady may not be singing but she is humming along to the music and voicing a few words! I agree that the day in court is not the only one of Pompey's worries - one has to wonder how long the 6 million injection from Chanrai is going to last.... I doubt too many clubs or businesses are extending much in the way of credit to Pompey at the moment! I have not been through AA's figures in detail - I think it's not worth it given how unreliable they are likely to be..... however some back of the fag packet calculations shows a bit of a cash crunch is imminent. Whoever made the argument about the Football League not wanting to be in the same situation as the Premier League has a very valid point indeed..... even if they limp on it has to be odds on they blow up sometime in the next 12 months and it would provoke a lot of embarrassment if the Football League did have to revoke all fixtures played... especially if it changed either business end of the table.
  16. CB Fry tried to take a position a few months ago, but he didn't think it through properly and I called him out on it. Since he is an internet warrior, he is unable to admit when he is wrong and is now firmly welded to this mistaken view....... the same theme has come up a few months later and he is still too immature to admit his error and move on. You can debate this, but he will never change his mind..... don't say I didn't warn you!
  17. I have suggested that many times, and went as far as reporting all the trolling posts but they're too timid to do anything. This could be a great resource for Saints fans if a few of the ******s were made to shut up and give the rest of us a break.
  18. I would say the readership is likely to be representative, however the people who post the most are not. We get the same arseholes like StuRomseySaint, alpine saint, the Nicks etc derailing every interesting thread and turning it into a snoozefest but there these charlatans represent less than 1% of the readership of SaintsWeb.
  19. Are you stupid or something? If the football creditors rule is abolished, then players and agents will have to be a lot more circumspect about who they sign contracts with if they want to be sure of getting paid. Exactly as I said a few months ago and you disagreed, because you're a mong without two brain cells to rub together. See how many players will sign for the likes of Poopey if there is a chance of them getting 20p in the pound or less when the inevitable happens again!
  20. Actually I was thinking about this the other night. Do the creditors of PFC have any recourse to suing the Premier League? The parachute payments are effectively an asset of PFC, and the Premier League has arbitrarily decided to redirect those assets away from the grasp of the Administrator who (nominally at least) is working in the interest of the creditors?
  21. Great work hutch.
  22. Get in HMRC!!!! Really hope we see this filed today and offically confirmed. I am 95% sure it is happening but then I never believed the Android would have the bare faced effrontery to pull some of the stunts he has already... so I won't get my hopes up until HMRC confirm it. Admin until at least October, I wonder if Chanrai is going to keep throwing money at them in the hope of breaking even or at least reducing his losses... this has the potential to run and run and run. Would be fantastic if they had to roll back their new manager signing too, though I think that would be unlikely but could he walk if AA lied to him too? Maybe...... Lets all laugh at Pompey... lets all laugh at Pompey...
  23. Thank god Dune is banned and we don't have to read any more of his drivel.
  24. Come on HMRC, you're making me nervous now!
  25. "Bespoke solutions tailored to your requirements , price sensative negotiations " PSML at the lack of ability to spell or even use a spell checker. "Our value add is that these activities can be carried out in complete confidence until engagement commences, and at the same time we can offer the services of a team of consultants which includes ex premiership managers and directors who can act as a transition team during any operation to ensure stability while new management structures and processes are implemented ensuring that your purchase hits the ground running."
