I know winning every game is a must...BUT imo I would rather we were not in the FA cup this season.... I would not be too fussed if we were knocked out of the cup at brizzle and come away with no injuries and suspensions....but then you dont want a league rival to beat you.. horrible draw for us.. I bet lambert is loving it

I was on the Warship programme last year.. I was also on a Royal Navy promotion thing on Radio 1 three years ago. I was on south today and in the Echo when I was on HMS Tireless and we visited southampton in 2006 as was one of the officers who is related to captain smith (of the titanic) is some way

I would like to see lallana stand out like he does for us now when we are in the CCC...if he does that then he will play in the PREM (imo)

what do you mean "slip back in their holes"..I was one who was critical of the start of the season...whilst I wanted and expected better, I was told i was being far too unrealistic to expect anything other than (and I quote) "just surviving" this season.. now, the goal posts have moved....and rightly so....you can change your opinion as the season unfolds. I tell you what, pardew was not hoping for survival, he wants instant success and is now delivering it..he did/does not want a season of "consolidation" like I was told to expect.....

what about half time fluffers..?
-
IMO...pards is balancing out the team like burley could not do.....shows burleys 'eye' for a player for what is was..
-
but you have to wonder if waigo knows the offside rule...lol
-
good point

all very true..but also a lot easier when money (in league 1) is not really an object... take lambert, he cost as much as the NEXT 3 big signings in league 1 put together...and we double or even trippled his wages with no worries... building a team HELPS when money is not an issue....sure pards has to put them together and he is doing that well....but would he have done so with say, the budget of swindon..?
-
so, wanting more than "just surviving" is no longer unrealistic..?
-
not really...the player turn over for most teams in the lower leagues is pretty darn high...not just at saints...
-
norwich got relegated also and I would suggest colchester lost key players like hammond anyway, matters not, we are the best team in this league and just surviving is laughable
-
i think it is their discretion to be honest
-
lambert at norwich boothroyd at colchester both spring to mind
-
im happy where we are now in footballing terms..but other so called worse managers have hit the ground running with far less at their disposal
-
personally..I could not care less what we play and who plays...as long as we win and win regularly..
-
i bet they all still worship the ground storrie walks on
-
i think he will be an idiot for leaving....he is no way ready for premier leaugue...

I know we are now loaded and using our financial muscle, but lets not go crazy
