about 9 years ago I did a defence and political paper within the MoD and the guy taking our classes was a former bigwig in the intelligence branch in the RAF....he told us a top tip.....buy as many shares as poss in a russian gas company called Gazprom (sp) as they will take off.. of course we thought he was joking as russia at that time was still very much broke.. how much did we get that wrong..:smt118

for those who say they take these defeats on the chin...? why is that so.. yes we have some home grown players in the team...how many are from southampton? not that it matters.. when we were disgusted with the team when we went down, we had far more players who had long ties with the club and who had been brilliant for us and meant a huge deal...we went down and the players DID care yet were undone by many manager etc... why all of a sudden take results on the chin and say hey ho... are people giving up??

I could not care less if it was just one game...those nitpicking points done matter to the league table.. you say one offside in defence of the team..what about the one where he was flagged for offside when he was not...

so, we should be ok when we change manager and get 8m in january to spend...???

it is not a team of youth players.. 19/22 year olds is not a youth team at all... yes, i expected slightly better in honesty as for the enjoyment... how on earth can you think that the car crash defending is enjoyable and good football and despite "giving their all", the defeats and the effects it will have on youngish players...? if you enjoy that then so be it...

who said writing the season off? O just said we are in real rouble at the mo... oh, i dont see car crash defending as "good football"... that is my opinion.

expectations.. when warnock came in at palace (so many laughed at the idea of him coming here) they played far younger players than what we have and almost made the playoffs... we, on the other hand seem to be going the other direction.

I hope we do win, going on the last couple of games, I am not so confident....

im very sure that the "I am enjoying us playing pretty football" lone will be long forgotten should the defeats continue...
