strange how it pans out.. around september time, there were a few of us that hoped/expected the playoffs..only to be met with cries of being "unrealistic" "out of touch" and "we should be happy to survive relegation" that somehow was not seen as negative..but now giving up on the playoffs (which ironically IS a realistic assumption) is now seen as negative.. odd

agree with this... the last few games (more so away) have shown stuttering form...what on earth would be go on a run now and win 8 out of 8..? it simply will not happen..time to count now as the start of pre season (to be sure there can be no excuse next year;))
-
we will not win every game...simple as that

throbie le saint is a full on left wing extremist... he belongs to a group that have extremist views and is somehow allowed to teach our children
-
sorry..but a load of horse feed... do you think ALL of pompey players are twice as good as newcastle players..? do you think ALL of plymouths players are twice as good as norwich players..? do you think that Bradley Wright-phillips is twice as good as Lambert..?
-
I do see your point..but when you look at boothroyd, wilson, jacket all with less than a pot to pee in..some been inthe job as long as pardew has achieved more with teams of frees and loans.. that I think is the beef with the form we have...

this is going to make your head explode....;)

it is pointless to compare burleys time. or lawrie macs time or even branflakes time to pardew.. each manager at saints has a different objective, different resources, different players and NOW, different level of opposition it is all relative...saying burley spent more than twice as much as pardew makes no sense...he is bound to as the players would have been more expensive IMO, you judge each manager on his own merits and achievements from what he has available and what he has to spend.. trying to make some sort of point that burley spent twice as much as pardew makes no sense what so ever...
-
The Torys will win..as week by week something or someone connected with labour does or says something that helps to ruin them and thank god for that
-
again..a totally pointless comparison and it is all relative
-
thing is..nearly all but a very few managers will run past their sell by date. it seems GJ had just done that at brizzle..the team he took up to the CCC and nearly the prem whilst playing bloody good football in the first place.
-
no, probably not..but as they say (I know not all agree)..MONEY TALKS... Im sure I read that GJ was in talks with peterborough...IF he goes there, they will be a good team next season..
-
I have not and will not get into an arguement on here...dont really do that these days... you dont have to be a MOD y'know
-
agree with that...didnt pards have a few good young players at west hame that did well with him in the prem..?

you can change it to 25 posts per page

no, of course he has not done/doing a bad job...but I would also say he is NOT doing a brilliant job either...he is doing OK imo..when you look at the size of the club/money/player etc etc he has.. IMO, pardew can (and no doubt will) do ALOT better..which can only be good news for saints
-
gary johnson is out of work...he is a cracking manager
-
IMO..comparing different managers to other is utterly pointless UNLESS they had the same "playing field" so to speak comparing pardew to burley, branfoot etc proves absolutely nothing what so ever you have to judge any manager at his time at the club...the money available, the players available, the opposition, board room set up etc etc

true...If he added goals to his game, there would be simply no chance that he would entertain league 1 football he is what..? 20 years old..and already one of the best players at the club he has always been class, just took time for him to impose himself on games.....he has a great future, im sure of it
-
well..at least morgan is finally getting wide spread recognition..not so ling ago many were not impressed with him he is a fantastic player who I would be surprised if he was a saints player come start of next season
-
Yes..I did expect/hope for the playoffs.. I would like to think we will finish within 10 poits of the playoffs...not doing so will be poor IMO
