True, though during that spell we were never out of games and were always capable of pinching a point - Forster and the back 3 helped (just as the lattter id in his first season when we went through a similar ticky patch) That said, the run of 1 win in 10 poor could equally be seen as the chickens coming home to roost after a period of wins during which we were hardly convincing (Bournemouth .(h) etc). Long's emergence made all the difference in the second half of the season, though ultimately he likes big lumps like Pelle, targetmen which should be familiar to the scousers.

As for Koeman - I see him as a continental Moyes. There's a bit more pace to his teams but philosophically he's closer to Moyes than you scousers think.

Well we don't know to what extent Everton's proposed transfer budget is driving Koeman's decisions (quite a bit according to Jeremy Wilson who thinks the salary on the table is a secondary consideration). We also don't know how far off Southampton's offer (transfer budget + salary) is from Everton's -and to what extent Koeman wanted us to know match it or would have settled for a compromise given the advantages we have over Everton and perhaps some residual feelings of loyalty.

Who knows but there's a lot of **** spouted about Moshiri on here, depicting him as some fly-by-night Arab investor. (Moshiri was educated and raised in the UK and has been on the footballing scene a long time). Likewise the last thing I'd associate Everton with is recklessness and Bill Kenwright spent 18 months vetting the guy before allowing him on board. But we'll see.

No. The media claim, at least, is that it's £100m (or €100m) plus the proceeds from sales of Lukaku and Stones.
