Certainly parts of the mongboard great and the good certainly think that MP isn't doing anything more than NA would have done with the same players and resources. Then again those who think that tend to be some of the biggest planks on here.

Didn't see that coming, though I thought the Broncos would struggle against aggressive man-to-man coverage (like they did against Indy in the regular season). A very soft performance by the Broncos, typified by the way they opened both halves - you can't fall behind against a D like Seattle's so early. Hopefully Manning is cleared for one more run and the D gets back to health. Should be a much stronger AFC next season.

Who let Colin Murray near this? ****

No fumble, knee was down, surely, but it ain't looking good for the Broncos.

Peyton living up to his reputation as a choker.

Live by the needle, die by the needle. A very talented actor - was great in The Master.

Don't particularly like the seahawks -bunch of PED cheats- but on the whole I prefer good defenses to good offenses and the Seahawks are the unfashionable team of the two. Have bad memories of my trip to Mile High Stadium last September, so wouldn't mind seeing them fall short, though Bailey deserves a ring. The Broncos won't get many more chances with Manning knocking on and a looming cap situation (Decker etc).

True, though wonder if Lambert could pull the strings in a truly crowded midfield (he's struggled in the past). He was helped yesterday by (i) their two CBs who while aerially dominant were terrified by Jrod's pace and stood off and (ii) their two fullbacks who like to bomb on and got caught consistently out of position. That's not going to happen every week.

Just demolishing your straw men - ta for the recognition and the cute nickname x

In the offseason (as opposed to midseason)? ...didnt think so either, sunshine.

Why? MP's results arent that much better than Adkins when he has more or less same resources at his disposal Another mongboard pearl of wisdom.

If RL is to play in a deeper role, we need a striker with the mobility, pace and power to stretch backlines that will open up space between them and the midfield for the likes of RL to thrive. While Jrod did that in the second half when he moved up top, allowing Rickie to drop deeper, he has not done it well consistently enough.

Today's performance?

Actually his crossfield balls have usually been on the money that is when he has time on the ball (they weren't today). Where his passing has struggled is when he's been under pressure and can't change his body shape/angle quickly enough to use the inside of his foot.
-
He's only going to get fit by getting game time -so it's a chicken and situation. It's not like he hasn't been training or doing conditioning work and just been thrown in. If as Poch says Cork was tired and the plan wasn't to let Vic play the full 90 then I have no probs with the team selection. All in all, good dilemma to have going especially if Vic returns to the form we saw just before he got injured I.e. Arsenal away where he was absolutely imperious.

Lad in returns from a broken leg and is lacking match fitness shocker

You sound giddy with excitement ahead of your big day in the smoke. Did you manage to sleep last night? Just remember to pace yourself pal - tragic seeing things end in tears when the day turns out a bit too much for them. Wouldn't want Verbal on here commenting on the mores and manners of the provinces...

It's a WC year. Career/honours wise- I guess his thoughts on that rather than which club he's temporarily playing for.

Happy clapper - nice try pal Wasnt SS questioning someone who had claimed that Wanyama had not lived up to the hype? Wonder who that was

I've expressed doubts over our lack of cutting edge, Lambert, our thin squad, JWP and our 'hallowed' youth system for starters. Not everything but quite a few things. Like many I'd imagine. Troll.
-
Yep - shame as he was available but we could have never competed with them.
-
Plenty pal. Normal people have expressed doubts about plenty of things: our lack of depth, whether we've taken the cups seriously enough; our GK situation; the hit-and-miss nature of our big signings; whether Lambert is in decline and should be sold; our lack of a cutting edge in the final third; our decision to lodge a complaint against Marriner - you name it. Yet they're not called trolls - wonder why?
