Yep, interesting he thought he knew who White's source was -and didn't outright dismiss its credibility. Ironically, he thought it was the strongest part of White's story. The journo's case against hinged largely on the general likelihood of a chinese, state sponsored company buying a foreign football club - improbable, if not impossible in his view. In other words, most of his objections were not linked to any details about our case. But without knowing the source and knowing its only one source, the story does seem all a bit tenuous.

He got in trouble for suggesting the switch from 4-4-2 on getting promoted Prem was imposed by Cortese, not Adkins choice -and evidence of clueless meddling. The mongboard intelligentsia lapped it up. Forget that 4-4-2 is completely unsuited to the prem and teams that play it are largely on a hiding to nothing.

As I say, no new details are provided beyond the Mirror piece though some are suggesting Poch knows about the bid and is a reason for him staying which could be ******* http://sports.sina.com.cn/g/pl/2014-01-19/12106987610.shtml http://news.xinhuanet.com/sports/2014-01/19/c_126026518.htm http://sports.163.com/14/0119/10/9IUQMT0G00051CCL.html#p=8G635JRV0B6P0005 http://www.espnstar.com.cn/pub/international/2014/0119/311420.htm

Yes the major outlets are but they're all reporting the Mirror story pretty much ad verbatim. No new details are provided though some are suggesting Poch knows about the bid and is a reason for him staying which ould be ******* http://sports.sina.com.cn/g/pl/2014-01-19/12106987610.shtml http://news.xinhuanet.com/sports/2014-01/19/c_126026518.htm http://sports.163.com/14/0119/10/9IUQMT0G00051CCL.html#p=8G635JRV0B6P0005 http://www.espnstar.com.cn/pub/international/2014/0119/311420.htm

Turns out those who winged it with the 9am East Coast didn't have to pay the £120 for a new ticket. Tried to the same on the way back but the jobsworth guard kicked us off at York. -
Japanese press suggesting that Yoshida might be going to Yokohama. Guess Lovren's injury changes things...

Well they're the ones who are actively making the comparison, not some benighted Westerner from deepest, most inbred part of Hampshire. Tan is of Chinese origin and plenty have suggested -the author Joe Studwell being the best example- how the South East Asian diaspora is a blueprint for how entrepreneurs on the mainland, though largely in the south of the country, run and look at their businesses. You're out of your depth on this one, sunshine.

True -though her statement is ultimately read to mean that she wont do anything MP doesn't want. Indeed, she says that explicitly elsewhere in the statement. To that extent, I see her statement being superseded by MP's more conditional one.

On the Chinese mongboards, theyre discussing whether he would be another Tan. Tan and Wang are very different characters, built their businesses in very different ways and have very different ambitions. Wang wants to build a genuine multinational company with all the constraints this entails whereas Tan is a just very rich local business man.

Not really. The statement reads: “My belief has not changed from a week ago. No player that I don’t want to leave will leave this club.” Perhaps she -or at least Les- wants RL to leave.

Was in a cab traveling from Durham when the first goal went in but thought we were excellent first half - snuffed out Ki through whom most of their play develops and should have been out of sight by HT. Cork MOTM for me. Schneiderlin (who seemed more advanced up the pitch) also very good. Lambert had a good first half but was given plenty of space and time. Second half was a different matter and he struggled. Starting Chambers didn't work IMO and didn't have much understanding with Davis. Shaw much better going forward and only a matter of time till he scores. Defensively was pretty good most of the game. Got done for the second -not the first time this had happened when a player has cut inside- though the whole defense was too spaced apart after Ki's first time ball opened us up down the right. Sub made sense, though not like Poch can do much other than bring on Gaston or JWP. Tight game, so there was no need to throw caution to the wind and gamble by taking Cork off. Lallana struggled once Colback came on while Ramirez provided some needed burst. If the great and the good think Schneiderlin's tackle against Diame was worthy of a red, don't see how Brown's any different. On the whole, quite satisfied with the performance -we're miles ahead of them and this without a full strength squad. Just need a bit more ruthlessness and swagger. Grand Central and East Coast did their best to mess the day up but it could have been a lot worse. At 9.15, stranded in Kings X, the day threatened to be a total write off. -
Excellent

What do they call the third most prolific poster on the mongboard?
